Optimization of Distribution of Advertising Brochures
Naglová, Martina ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Jágerová, Tereza (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to determine the optimal route for delivery of advertising brochures. To address this problem, Chinese Postman Problem is used. In contradistinction to other works, this practical work is modified by inclusion of the streets width and number of houses into calculation. The postman can go through the street by two different ways. There is undirected graph with unrequired edges in the practical work. Because of extensiveness of this work it was necessary to use software products, specifically Lingo. It is described Chinese Postman Problem, its mathematical model, history and modifications and basic concepts of theory of graphs, where Chinese Postman Problem belongs to.
Optimizing the composition of the diet for diabetics
Filáková, Lucie ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Jablonský, Josef (referee)
The aim of this work is 14-day diet program for diabetics for hospital purposes and to minimize the costs of the diet. The mathematical model of this problem must strictly comply with the conditions that limit the supply of carbohydrates, fats, protein and energy -- these conditions are very important for diabetics. Further the claims are made to the diet. This mathematical model is written in the optimization software LINGO and than thanks to the MPS format run in XPRESS, in which model is finally solved. Resolved model is then interpreted and compared with diet programs that have been granted by hospital NsP in Nový Jičín.
System for computing distribution problems LP – Lingo/Excel interface
Lhoták, Petr ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Mynařík, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with description of several distribution problems and their solutions. Distribution problems are the most typical problems of linear programming, which solves the optimalization of transportation of materials, people or goods. For this purpose I created an application, which combines two computer systems and makes computing of these problems easier. Concretely by combining of the systems LINGO and MS Excel through Visual Basic for Applications. Further in this work you will find solved examples of transportation problem, allocation problem, assignment problem and travelling salesman problem. You will also find the description of the main procedures of LINGO system and its connection to MS Excel through VBA. Last but not least there is brought up the programming solution of the application and its visual construction.
Optimalization of flights and revisions on ČSA airplanes
Pourová, Alžběta ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
Flights and revisions planning is the problem of assigning flights and revisions to aircrafts in such a way that constraints are satisfied, and some objective function is optimized. Objective function can be to minimalize the number of aircrafts. The intention of my thesis is to find the optimum solution in the problem of flights and revisions planning to aircrafts. In this work, I am using linear programming, which is important and irreplaceable in everyday practical use.
The Theory of Graphs and the Solution of Its Exercises in the System LINGO
Drechslerová, Tereza ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce basic types of exercises of theory of graphs and to display possible methods of their solution. I have chosen these types of exercises: finding minimal skeleton, finding maximum river and Critical Path Method (CPM) and I specify them. Praticular exercises are solved in the system LINGO and after that by specific algorithm for optimalization in the graph. Part of my work also presents explanation of basic terms and short historical review of developement of the theory of graphs.
The Solving of Distribution Problems in MS Excel / LINGO
Bisová, Sára ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The goal of this work is to explain the topic of distribution problems, special kind of linear programming problems, and also to show possibilities for solving them in some programming systems. For solving several types of distribution problems - transportation problem, container transportation problem, assignment problem, allocation problem and travelling salesman problem - I have created an application which connects MS Excel with programming language LINGO. This connection is realized by means of VBA - Visual Basic for Applications. There are described the main procedures and functions of LINGO and VBA including minute description of interconnection of these systems. Created application is illustrated on several small problems in the last part of work.
The Comparison of Efficiency of Approximate Methods for Solving Transportation Problem
Zárubová, Radka ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The goal of my work is to analyze difference between optimal solution and solution we get when using approximate methods (i.e. NWCM, LCM, VAM). To get necessary data, I have created an application in VBA (both for generating and solving). The application interacts with LINGO. However, its most important parts are procedures for these approximation methods which can be run separately. Therefore, after explaining necessary theory, I focus on approximation methods and explain every single code for them. The last part of my work is the mentioned comparison. In this part, I analyze difference between optimum and approximate solution for five chosen dimensions of transportation tableau. Last but not least, I study whether there is any dependence of difference on number of constrains.
Solving optimization problems using spreadsheet
Popelková, Magdaléna ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Kalčevová, Jana (referee)
This work is focused on solving optimization problems using Microsoft Excel. Application is written using Visual Basic for Applications and cooperates with modeling system LINGO. Solving problem is more comfortable.
Optimization of production in the clothing industry
Skočdopol, Petr ; Kalčevová, Jana (advisor) ; Šmídová, Milada (referee)
The purpose this Bachelor thesis is to optimize the production and direction of supply in the clothing industry respectively in the company AKSANA, s. r. o. The first part thesis is theory necessary to understanding problem of optimization of production. In the second part is practice solution by program Lingo. The third part is about theory of direction of supply. In the fourth part thesis is practical application of direction o supply in the deterministic model of multi-product supply in the company AKSANA, s. r. o.
Mathematical optimization of schedule at high school
