RFID signal analyzer using USB DVB-T receiver based SW defined radio
Sládek, Ondřej ; Vychodil, Josef (referee) ; Derbek, Vojtěch (advisor)
This bachelor’s work deals with the development of software analyzer of RFID signals in the UHF band using a USB DVB-T receiver. First part of the work describes RFID systems generally with emphasis on EPC Class-1 Generation-2 standard. The work also analyses possibilities of using a USB DVB-T receiver to receive complex IQ signal and possible options for interfacing it with LabVIEW. The created interface is described as well as the LabVIEW application itself. Furthermore, examples of recorded RFID communication are shown and possible future use of the developed code for a radio-band scanner is demonstrated at the end of the work.

Design and implementation of a wireless transmission system using USRP
Vaclík, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and possibilities of implementation of modular wireless communications system based on software defined radio. This system uses USRP1 kits from Ettus Research and is controlled by GNU Radio Companion software. Final Python script is used to controll and modify parameters of modulation schemes, encoder properties and used bitrate. Thesis also describes possibilities and challenges of using radio HW for transmitting and receiving. Final chapter summerizes and analyzes achieved transmission qualities.
Softwarové rádio pro emulaci protokolů v RFID
Prachař, Petr ; Fuchs, Michal (referee) ; Derbek, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an emulator of RFID protocols in a software defined radio. The designed emulator operates in the UHF band (860 MHz – 960 MHz). The main goal of this design is a very fast measurement of power characteristic of tag. The proposed solution is based on implementing the transmitter controls directly into the SDR. Thanks to this solution a reduction of delay between measurements occur compared to the conventional concept, when the transmitter parameters are controlled by the hosted PC. In this thesis, suitable platform based on research is chosen for implementation and also a concept of design is proposed and described herein, which is based on implementation of time critical algorithms directlyinto the software defined radio’s FPGA. The proposed solution was implemented into selected platforms and its functionality was experimentally verified.
Spatial Identification Methods and Systems for RFID Tags
Úvod je věnován popisu současného stavu vědeckého poznání v oblasti RFID prostorové identifikace a stručnému shrnutí problematiky modelování a návrhu prototypů těchto systémů. Popisuje úzkopásmové/širokopásmové měření vzdálenosti a metody odhadu směru signálu. Oba navržené scénáře rozmístění antén jsou v závěru ověřeny lokalizačním měřením v reálných podmínkách.

RFID Signal Analyzer Using SDR Principles Based on USB DVB-T Receiver
Sládek, O.
This work deals with the implementation of a vector signal analyzer based on a USB DVB-T receiver. Development of the analyzer is focused on its future use in RFID applications operating in UHF band. In order to fulfil the requirement for a low cost product, the whole project is based on an affordable USB DVB-T receiver. The Software Defined Radio approach is used for transforming USB DVB-T receiver into signal analyzer.
Architecture of System for Dynamically Reconfigurable Communication Terminal
Kloub, Jan
This paper describes possibilities of computing architecture implementation for dynamic data path generation for stream computation. An application example for this computing architecture is implementation of communication terminal described in this paper. The computing architecture is implemented on FPGA circuits supporting dynamic reconfiguration. FPGA functionality can be fully or partially changed during runtime when part of FPGA is static and part dynamic. Reconfiguration process is controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor could be implemented in FPGA static part (soft processor) or using an external integrated circuit.
