Usage of Social Care Allowances by Disabled People Older than Eighteen
NOVOTNÁ, Šárka
This Bachelor´s work deals with a social care allowance in degree II granted to handicapped people over 18 years of age, dependent on another person´s asssistance, who live in the home environment. The work is trying to find out how much they use the allowance to buy field social services and whether they use it for arranging for assistance for themselves. I am engaged in the problem as a field social worker of assistance allowance. The theoretical part presents the Act No. 108/2006 Coll.on Social Services, describes the system of social services and social assistance before this Act came into force. Subsequently it addresses care allowances and current social care services, the position of a social service worker whose professionalism is guaranteed by the Social Services Act, deals with ethics and the current concept of social work. The practical part is based on the findings of qualitative research technique, questionning the clients while controlling the use of an allowance. The findings confirm the fact that the care allowance is misused and hardly ever used to buy field social services. The work may form a background for comments on the Law No. 108/2006 Coll. On Social Services and thus help solve the problem of misusing the allowance. There are two views of the situation to be considered. Either the attitude of the Ministery of Labour and Social Affairs which prefers better monitoring of the allowances and the other view prefers insisting in better individual social work with every single beneficiary
Psychosocial working load of nurses and social workers. Quantitative survey.
STEHLÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
I deal with problems of psychosocial working load of nurses and social workers in this final bachelor thesis. As usual the bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical part and practical one. In the theoretical part I focused on a loading characteristic, on its types, on individual load situations. Furthermore some notions are described here such as working load, psychosocial load. I did not forget to apply herself to a nursing concept, nurse profession and as well to a social work characteristic and social worker profession. In the practical part I focused on a rate deduction of psychosocial working load and on identification of causes of psychosocial working load of nurses and social workers. A questioning method by the help of a non-standardized questionnaire was used to detect set targets. I have made up the questionnaire on the basis of my own experience and personal assumptions. The group of questioned people was formed by nurses and social workers from South Moravian Region, district Znojmo. The results have been arranged into a diagram. The research has proved that in both professions it is possible to identify the rate and causes of psychosocial working load. By choosing of this theme I wanted to pint out to psychosocial working load which nurses and social workers are daily accompanied by. This work has brought me a lot of information and thinking about these problems. I hope that it will also benefit nurses, social workers and as well their supervisors. Thinking about these problems could lead many people to a solution or even elimination of some issues connected with this given theme.

Identification of handicaps of mentally disabled person in the age of adolescence and early adulthood carried out by a social worker
ŠESTÁK, Jan
If a social service shall reach its goal as a targeted and individual one it must respond to real needs of the mentally disabled individual. Social workers are active participants in integration processes of mentally disabled people. What role does the social worker play in the integration process? In what items and how can he assist the mentally disabled person in accomplishing his/her social role in corresponding and worthy way? What tools and skills does he need for it? The dissertation thesis tries to work with those questions and to discuss them in more details. An attempt is made to outline theoretic and practical grounds and possibilities for activities of the social worker in the process of integration of mentally disabled people into the common society. Motivated by an effort to understand activities of the social worker comprehensibly and unambiguously, a concept of three-level periodic operation was defined as ``Identification {--} Support {--} Opportunity``. The goal of the research is to form an evaluation scale (of the ``Identification`` tool) that could help the social worker in identification of substantial handicaps but also in recognition of advantages of mentally disabled individuals, and to plan focusing of provided social services on individual and effective incorporation of a mentally disabled person into his/her common life or to remove obstacles hindering from his/her incorporation. Usability and functionality of the evaluation tool entitled ``3P {--} Profil Potřebné Podpory`` (the Support Intensity Profile) were tested in a real environment. 20 users of social services and employees of protected workshops were included in a research set of studied persons with mild and moderate mental retardation in the age from 19 to 46 years.

KLEJMOVÁ, Jaroslava
The bachelor thesis deals theoretically and practically with the aspects concerning stressogenic factors in the profession of social workers working in non-profit sector. Stress is described as civilization illness attacking us in our everyday life. The goal of this work is to identify the subjectively perceived stress factors affecting the social worker working in non-profit sphere. The bachelor thesis is focused particularly on the specification of negative stress, i.e. distress. The introductory part of the work deals with the issue of stress in general, with its terminology, displays, stress reactions and strategies of stress mastering in general. After this general theoretic part, the work focuses on the central area, i.e. on the particularities of stress in social worker profession and on the general context of social worker profession unifying a number of factors that can affect social worker's activity. So the goal of the work is not ascertaining how stressogenic factors affect social worker's activity in general; it would exceed the possibilities of the work. The goal of this work is only uncover a bit of the stressogenic factors affecting social workers at performing their profession. Partial intention of the research consists in ascertaining what coping strategies social workers use when mastering specific stressogenic situations, as well as in uncovering what reasons could lead social workers to the decision of leaving their profession. Qualitative research was selected to ascertain those goals. The method of semi-structured interview with open-ended questions was used for data collection. The group of respondents consisted of social workers working in the following non-profit organizations: Auritus Tábor, CheironT Tábor, Fokus Tábor, Kaňka Sezimovo Ústí 2. Eleven interviews were made in total. The research demonstrated that social worker profession is very demanding, laying great demands on social worker{\crq}s personality, and that high level of social worker{\crq}s engagement is needed. I specified a number of stressors related to the performance of this profession in my work.
Involuntary Client in Social Work
VÍŠKOVÁ, Michaela
The objective of my work is to survey what kinds of social work tools motivate, from the view of a social worker, an involuntary client to change his/her current situation and start working with a social worker. In the theoretical part of my diploma work I first deal with general topics, I focus on the typology of clients and relation and communication with clients. Within the section that is dedicated to the involuntary client solely I deal with the characteristics of such a client and ethical dilemmas in respect of the relation to this client. Furthermore, I present some recommendations for work with an involuntary client and I concentrate more on motivating the client. The chapter that deals with specific features of social work with addictive substances users, as one of the groups of involuntary clients, forms an extensive part of the theoretical part. In order to achieve the set objective, I have chosen a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The data have been collected by means of anonymous questionnaires and non-standardized dialogues with 144 social workers in the Vysočina Region. Within the research I study the experience of social workers with work with involuntary clientele, further I focus on methods and techniques used at work with involuntary clients and on theoretical bases of this work as well. The survey also aims to determine the diversity in the approach of social workers in respect of voluntary and involuntary clientele. Following the evaluation of the survey outputs it can be said that a majority of social workers meet involuntary clients at their work. However, not all the workers consider the use of a specific approach to such clients important. A possible improvement in this respect may, in my opinion, be brought by educational courses that focus on the issues of involuntary clientele. Supervision plays an irreplaceable role here, too. The results of my diploma work may be used for the needs of further research, teaching and in order to enhance the knowledge of the issues of involuntary clientele.
