Comparsion of spruce sawfly of the genus Pachynematus and Pikonema in mountains after 10 years
Horáková, Eliška ; Holuša, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Lukášová, Karolína (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the important pests of spruce . The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge and information about tenthredinds the genus Pikonema and Pachynematus further concentrates on the method of trapping tenthredinds. The occurence and species composition of tenthredinds in three mountainous areas in the Czech republic is monitored in the practical part. It is the site of Albrechtice, Trojmezná and Medvědín. Malaise traps Townes type for catching insects were installed in the period from early May to early July on selected localities. The traps were checked every fortnight. When checking was always supplemented pure alcohol. After sorting and determination of tenthredinds data were processed by the statistical program, which confirmed the numerical superiority of males over females and overall numerical serenity of the occurrence of the tenthredinds. The numbers of Pikonema pallescens and Pachynematus scutellatum are lower, but the results are not statistically significantly different.
Comparison of spruce sawflies of the genus Pristiphora in the mountains after 10 years
Englártová, Šárka ; Holuša, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Lukášová, Karolína (referee)
The presence of sawfly Pristiphora was observed in mountain areas in 2015, particularly in Beskydy (Bařiny), Šumava (Královský Hvozd) and Krušné hory (Klínovec). Observation was carried out in there mentioned areas in young spruce stands.Sawflies were cathed help by Malaise trap. Locations were controled every 14 days from April to July 2015. Sawflies were categorized into species and then by gender. At the end results were obtained by statistic program, which confirmed close dependance between flying activity of sawflies and spruce sprouting.
Comparison of spruce sawflies Pristiphora leucopodia in the Czech Republic Mts after 10 years
Klápšťová, Hana ; Holuša, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Lukášová, Karolína (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of spruce sawflies Pristiphora leucopodia in the Czech republic after ten years. In 2015 Malaise traps of Towness type were installed at predetermined locations around the Czech Republic. The collecting of the insects took place from late April to late June. The collected insects were then transported to and manually sorted out in the entomological laboratory of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences. The results have shown that the current population density is lower than in the previous collecting period, but statistic tests do not confirm this statement.
Production potential of tonewood in a selected locality in National Park Šumava
Švelch, David ; Šálek, Lubomír (advisor) ; Zahradník, Daniel (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is finding out of potential production of tonewood of the Norway spruce (Picea abies) on appropriate sites in the National Park Šumava. The research was carried out by dendrochronological core samples and their analyses, Results show that share of tonewood exceeds 30% on appropriate sites within fight tending. Expected production of tonewood on the group of forest habitat types 7K in the National Park Šumava is 9901 m3 in 20-year period.
Effects of management and natural disturbance on oribatid mites in montane forest
FARSKÁ, Jitka
The thesis studied effects of forest management and natural disturbance on oribatid mites in montane forests in South Bohemia (Czech Republic). We focused on the influence of (1) spruce monoculture establishment on the former beech forest, (2) management intensification in spruce forest and (3) forest dieback after bark-beetle outbreak. The impacts were pronounced especially like changes in species composition and distribution of functional traits.
Initial study of predisposition of Norway spruce to bark beetle attack in relation to long term effects of multiple stress
KOTRC, Miroslav
This thesis is a contribution to understanding of predisposition of solitary Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) to bark beetle (Ips typographus (L.)) attack. The predisposition is estimated from long term effects of multiple stress, which are determined by tree crown transformation. By virtue of created model, it was documented that some environmental variables could have considerable effect on tree crown transformation. Tree crown transformation is generally considered a mirror of spruce health status.
Analysis of long-term growth dynamics in mountain spruce \kur{(Picea abies) } forest along altitudinal gradient in Nízké Tatry, Slovakia.
MYŠKOVÁ, Tereza
The thesis presents a grant application for a project dealing with analysis of long-term growth dynamics in mountain spruce (Picea abies) forest along altitudinal grandient in Nízké Tatry. The aim is to verify and deepen current knowledge of growth dynamic mountain spruce (Picea abies) forest and suggest suitable protection management based on the information obtained.
Preliminary study of effect of forest management on soil biological activity in Šumava National Park
OTÁHALOVÁ, Šárka
This thesis is written as research project application. It is focused on an impact of forest management on soil biological activity in soil in Šumava National Park. This project is a part of a general study of overall impact of salvage logging on the soil - soil chemistry, microbial activity, soil animals, vegetation cover, temperature and humidity.
Growing of over - growth tree species
KOSTOHRYZOVÁ, Lenka
The comparison of agronomical practices and land capability of selected deciduous with coniferous wood species, especially fast growing tree species on agricultural land, is the theme of this bachelor work. This work deals with the cultivation of fast growing tree species, the comparison of their growth figures and agricultural techniques. Fast growing tree species were cultivated in these localities: Svatý Jan nad Malší (Chlum nad Malší), Všemyslice- Neznašov and Lesy města Český Krumlov s.r.o. The research was focused on the comparison of yields of deciduous (poplar) with coniferous trees (spruce, larch), agricultural techniques. There is the comparison of yields with yields from the available literature, in conclusion.
