Converter for supplying of the power LED diode
Puczok, Václav ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a grid-powered supply for supplying power LED used in illuminating application. The power supply consists of an input line filter which attenuates conducted high frequency signals (EMI filter), an active rectifier (PFC circuit) to improve the power factor and the main constant output current double-sided forward converter. It thoroughly focuses at design of the converter's power stage, mainly at pulse transformer, switching transistors, output rectifier and output filter. Main converter model was created in the Matlab-Simulink environment in order to simulate behaviour of the current loop. Final product of this work is a fully functional power supply and the main converter's model.
Switch mode supplies
Hladík, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of switched power supply for laboratory lessons. Forward converter was chosen as the topology of this power supply. Output voltage is adjustable from 0 V to 32 V. Power supply is capable of output current up to 10 A and output has adjustable current limiting. Following parts were designed: LC filter, pulse transformer, bridge rectifier with capacitor, power MOS-FETs driver, closed loop control with its auxiliary power supply. Cascade closed loop control is used for controlling of designed power supply. Control is analogue, operation amplifiers were used for its construction. PCB was designed for the whole power supply. Power supply was sucessfully assembled and tested.

Usage of High Power Inverters in High Voltage Sources
Zemánek, Miroslav ; Janča, Jan (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This work is concerned with power inverters for alternate high voltage power sources. The theoretical part describes the topology of inverters that can be used in alternate power sources. A model of voltage transformer is described in details to better understand the parasitic effects that are inevitably present in high voltage power sources and, therefore, have to be taken into consideration at the design of high voltage power sources. The work is oriented to problems of alternate high voltage power sources for ozone generators. This is the reason, why the theoretical and, partially, also the experimental part deal with the properties of ozone and its use. The experimental part solves high voltage inverter with capacitive load that is formed by discharge element of an ozone generator. Designed inverter is able to feed the capacitive load with high voltage at very short periods of time from several microseconds up to tens of nanoseconds. In comparison with the length of voltage pulses in common ozone generators, this pulses are more than 100-time shorter. This has a positive effect to silent discharge characteristics.

Experimental flyback switching supply 1200 W/150 kHz with SiC switches
Grom, Martin ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design and construction of experimental flyback converter with utilization of novel lossless clamp circuit for switching transistor and with utilization of silicon carbide devices. The issue of flyback converter for higher power and possible control strategies are discussed. The thesis also describes power and control circuits design, design of PCB, construction of the converter and measured waveforms. End of the thesis contains technical documentation of designed board. Designed converter was successfully built and tested.
General-purpose power supply with microcontroller
Jorda, Ivo ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is design of adjustable switched mode power supply with symmetrical output of 25 V, and switched mode power supply with fixed output voltage of 5 V. Required maximum output current of each outputs is 3 A. At the beginning of the paper function of the basic SMPS topologies is described. Next all reqiured SMPSs are designed and chosen parts of the design are simulated. In the second half of the thesis assembly and testing of PCB are described as well as functions of programs. Last chapter contains results of meassurement of power supply paramters.
1200 W flyback switching power supply with silicon carbide semiconductors
Martiš, J.
This paper shows how a recent advancement in power semiconductor technology and some improvements can allow the flyback switching power supply to operate effectively at high output powers. The switching frequency can be increased, which allows for a more effective output filter design and a smaller transformer. A basic design example of a 1200 watt power supply power part is presented.
EMC of switched-mode power supplies
Olivík, Lukáš ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design flyback converter with given parameters complying with standards for electromagnetic compatibility. This thesis describes detailed design of the flyback converter. It summarizes the recommendations for PCB design. Knowledge from number of comparative measurements of the impact of component selection on conducted emission signature was applied during the flyback converter design. Big part of the thesis is aimed on conducted emission measurement and separation of common mode and differential mode emissions. The simple and fast Time domain measurement of conducted emission is described. Final measurement of designed converter was performed at the end of the thesis.
Controllable decorative lighting system
Pelán, Pavel ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
ecorative lighting strips could be used to the backlight of furniture, to creating a modern interior design. From an architectural point of view, this design is very difficult and requires a strong sense of aesthetics. More easier is to use the LED strips to the advertising trailers or to backlighting car parts. RGB strip will be powered by switching power supply with galvanic isolation. Colour will be changed by the combination of basic colours RGB, by using 3-channel PWM of Atmel microcontroller, controlled via a wireless module, providing two-way communication..
