Numerical modelling of flow over auxiliary spillways
Kostelecký, Jiří ; Golík,, Pavel (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibilities of numerical modelling of an overflow over selected types of auxiliary spillways and then the possibilities are verified in particular localities. In thesis, there is carried out the determination of capacity of selected spillways by using several methods: the calculation of the overflow equation, one-dimensional and two-dimensional numerical models and physical model. The author created parametric analysis to each single method. Parametric analysis represent various hydraulic conditions. Subsequently, there is possible to express the effect of parametric analysis. The author makes a comparison of water levels received by mentioned methods set out under the specific hydraulic conditions by calibration of each model with the physical model. Finally, author recommends values of all coefficients which have an impact on results of numerical modelling of the flow over selected types of weirs mostly using like auxiliary spillways.

Numerical Modelling of Grate Combustion
V rámci práce byl vyvinut jednorozměrný nestacionární model spalování v experimentálním reaktoru a implementován do počítačového programu GRATECAL 1.3 včetně grafického uživatelského rozhraní.

Numerical Modelling of Counter Flow in T-Junction
Míčka, Martin ; Šperka, Oldřich (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main objective of this master thesis is to implement the numerical modelling of the confluence of streams in the Tee-junction using Fluent CFD software. Modelling is carried out for different ratios of flow rates in steady flow. Calculations are evaluated, using a new mathematical model, by curves of loss coefficients. Furthermore, the influence of the selected type of the mesh in geometry on results from numerical modelling of flow is examined. Geometry of the Tee-junction is created in Gambit software. Finally, the results obtained from numerical modelling are confronted with results from an experiment.

Jet Grouting
Kubín, Tomáš ; Boštík, Jiří (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe jet grouting. There are specified base methods of ground improvement and described possibilities of jet grouting. Furthermore thesis is focused on certain constructions and reconstructions in Brno, where this method was used. In detail it is concerned on reconstruction of the palace of Chlumecky, where jet grouting was used as shoring of foundation pit. Next part of this thesis is a numerical model of this foundation pit and comparison of the results from different constitutive models of soil.

Slightly generalized regular space decompositions
Kolcun, Alexej
Space decomposition methods represent an important part of numerical modelling process. In many applications it is suitable to use the simplest case of decomposition { regular rectangular grid: the whole raster graphic concept can be seen from this point of view. Dierent raster concept, based on regular hexagonal mesh, is analyzed e.g. in [18]. Generalized task { decomposition of the space to the set of the identical elements have been presented in various research areas since a long time, and it is connected with Hilbert's 18th problem [9], [10].

Span-Wise Distribution of Losses in Prismatic Turbine Cascade
Fürst, J. ; Luxa, Martin ; Šimurda, David
The paper deals with the experimental and numerical research of flows through prismatic turbine cascade in transonic regimes. The primary goal is to evaluate the influence of the non-uniformity of the inlet velocity profile to the spanwise distribution of energy losses. The numerical simulation with inlet velocity profile corresponding to the parameters of the flow in high speed wind tunnel in Nov´y Kn´ın is compared to the experimental data. Next, the simulation assuming different inlet velocity profiles are used to evaluate the effect of the boundary layer in front of the cascade to the span-wise distribution of energy losses.
