The Development of the Fundamental Body Measurements of Infants 0-6 old.
ANDRLOVÁ, Tereza
This diploma thesis is devoted to the development of body measurements of children 0 to 6 months old being exclusively breastfed until the age of four months and then breastfed with appropriate complementary food. The anthropometrical parameters were the body length, the body weight and the head circumference. The results are shown separately for girls and boys in tables and graphs. The data were compared to the previous surveys of the Czech children. Student's t-test and Z- score were used for comparison. Selected somatic and other characteristics obtained by a questionnaire were taken into the study. The Life Satisfaction Questionnaire was used to evaluate the welfare of primiparas. The breastfed children do not reach lower average values of body length and weight than children of the reference survey CAV, 2001 (Vignerová et al., 2005) and Bláha a kol., 2001 (Bláha et al., 2010) in general. Body lenght, body weight and head circumference of boys and girls until the age of one month positively correlates with the gestation age of an infant. Life satisfaction of primiparas is mostly influenced by financial situation, marriage, partnership and sexuality. Life satisfaction of primiparas from our survey correlates statistically significantly with their health and satisfaction with marriage and partnership. The collected somatic data of infants could be used as a part of the standards for contemporary population of breastfed infants.
Body Weight Changes during the Year Depending on the Circadian Typology near the adolescent
BERANOVÁ, Kateřina
This diploma thesis deals with changes in body weight during the year depending on circadian typology of adolescent girls. The theoretical part focuses on the specification of the development period of adolescence, body weight, biorhythms and sleep. The research is particularly concerned with oscillation of body weight during the adolescent girls period of one calendar year depending on the influence of different seasons. A partial survey of the research subject is the relationship between BMI and individual chronotype. Specifically, it was examined whether chronotype Lark lower average BMI during the period of one calendar year than the owl chronotype. The research section provides further knowledge on the composition and eating chronotype, and in terms of rationality and regularity of catering. One of the subjects of the thesis is also chronotype influence the dietary habits of individuals, namely their unsuitability.
Balantes exercising and its influence on condition and body weight
HOREČKOVÁ, Petra
Bachelor thesis Balantes exercising and its influence on condition and body weight be concerned with influence this exercising on condition and body weight of training people. Theoretic section brings out basic data dealing with exercising balantes and exercising Pilates, which is determinant for balantes. Teoretic section explain notions as body weight, obesity and condition. Objectiv of the work was ascertain the influence balantes exercising on condition and body weight. At the beginning of work I suppose, that body weight will be lower and condition will be higher after series of exercising. I suppose, that subcutaneous fat will be lower, too. Practical test brought out, that balantes exercising has good effects and acknowledged my practical questions.
The Development of the Basic Body Measurements of Infants 6-12 months old.
BÖHMOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of this diploma is to study the development of basic body measurements of infants 6 to 12 months old being exclusively breastfed up to 4 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to one year of age or beyond. The monitored physical parameters were the body length, weight, and head circumference. The anthropometric data were collected according to a standardized (Martin-Saller?s) method or its modification. For statistical comparison sorting of the age categories according to the WHO recommendation was made. Our data were compared (t-test, Z-score) with the results of the previous surveys of Czech children. Comparison of results of our study and previous anthropological survey showed lower mean values of weight-height ratio in our file. The questionnaire of mothers? somatic and further characteristics was evaluated. The part of this study involves also the evaluation of Life Satisfaction Questionnaire of primiparous mothers. It has been found that general life content of primiparous mothers is influenced by positive assessment of financial situation particularly. Researched somatic data about children are a part of the national anthropological survey of the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) in Prague. The collected data sets can serve as a tool to creating standards for the current population of breastfed children.
Potential utilization automatic weighing cattle to evaluation health and nutritious condition of herd.
SMUTNÁ, Šárka
The aim of this thesis was based on data from an automated system for weighing a live weight of dairy cows to develop a methodology for evaluating health and nutritional status of the herd. To obtain weight data of individual cows was used in the weighing unit for milking robots Astronaut A3 from Lely. 21 cows with the longest period of lactation or drying off cows and especially dairy cows with various health problems were selected.
Body weight changes during calendar year\\
ŘÍHA, Jakub
This thesis deals with monitoring of development of body weight, percentage share of fat and rate of BMI of students of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice during one calendar year. In theoretical part I deal with characteristic of health and civilization diseases. Considering a subject of this thesis I separated obesity, one of the civilization diseases, to individual chapter. Next chapters deal with diet, drinking mode and move activity. The last important chapter is an influence of body weight on a human health. The influence of an excessive weight on occurrence of civilization diseases is described in this part. The total number of people in practical part was 105, including 41 men and 64 women. The Tanita scales was used for findings of body weight and percentage share of fat. The realized rates are recorded as figures and graphs. The outcomes show that body weight, percentage share of fat and rate of BMI don´t change a lot during the calendar year. Average months rates of BMI and percentage share of fat show that men´s and women´s body weight is in ideal value and doesn´t represent any health hazard.
Present somatic development of czech children
PŘÍBORSKÁ, Sylvie
This study comparing somatic characteristics. The secular trend in body weight has been less pronounced compared to that in body height. The rates of overweight and obese children have risen.
Analysis of beef cattle breed
KOLOUŠKOVÁ, Martina
The purpose of this thesis was to analyze the efficiency and fertility of beef cattle herd kept without market milk production on a farm Ostrý u Jistebnice, owned by ing. Pavel Kozák. Monitoring of the herd took place in the period between the year 2006 and 2008. The objects of analysis were 149 purebred cows and 296 calves of Belgian Blue, Blonde d{\crq}Aquitaine, Charolais, Limousin and Simmental breeds. At cows, age during first calving, time interval between calving, number of birth and occurance of complicated birth have been recorded. The weight of calves at birth, in the age of 120, 210 and 365 days, has been checked and average daily increments have been counted.
Longitudinal monitoring of evolution selected physical measurements characterizing situation of nutrition children in age 6 {--} 15 years
ZAJÍCOVÁ, Iva
In my thesis I am studying and analyzing a long time monitoring of physical growth of children from 6 to 15 years. There were selected children of both genders from the whole database monitoring children and there is noticed physical growth into individual growth curves. The evaluation of individuals was about these physical parameters: body height, body weight, Body Mass Index, abdominal circumference, gluteal circumference and subscapular skinfold.
Bioimpedance methods to measure somatometric and volumetric changes
Petr, M. ; Kohlíková, E. ; Navrátil, Tomáš
Assessment of human body composition has stimulated the need for an understanding of available methodologies of estimating fat free mass and percent body fat. In our study, we found statistical significant changes of body composition evaluated by multi-frequency bioelectrical analysis in a group of athletes following creatine supplementation. These results are consistent with literature i.e. supplemented creatine effects osmolality of cell´s membranes which leads to increased intracellular water retention. Multi-frequency BIA can be considered to be an accurate and sensitive method for assessment of human body composition.
