Political parties in Slovakia between 1989 and 2006 and their impact on the civil society

The primary goal of this thesis is the analysis of the party system and civil society in Slovakia between 1989 and 2006 (when the last parliamentary elections were held), their dynamics and mutual influence. The collapse of the Communist regime started the process of democratization and the emergence of a new party system, which sparked the birth of Slovakian society. In addition to that, the process of democratization was significantly affected by the break of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, the reader is acquired with the theoretical aspects of the issue. The second chapter forms the core of the work and analyzes the individual results of parliamentary elections and the newly emerging political parties. In the last third chapter the author on the silhouette of the previous chapter's findings analyzes the systemic changes in civil society in Slovakia during the given period.
Regional differentiation of the Slovak Republic

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to identify, compare and evaluate regional disparities of Slovak regions from the point of view of territorial statistical units with the aid of complex demographic, economic and socioeconomic analysis of the most important indicators influencing asyntrophy of the regional development such as demographic, socioeconomic and other conditions. This analysis is performed with complete, substantial chronological and spatial visual angle. The purpose is to provide basic information and overview of the contemporary Slovak regions including anticipated trends and upcoming development tendencies.
The judgement on entry of SVK to the Eurozone as a member of V4

The aim of bachelor work is to analyze and evaluate the entry of Slovak Republic to the Eurozone in the beginning of year 2009. Possible early entrance and the option of waiting for other states of Visegrad Four is what I will be interested in. In the theoretical part I will be talking about historical evolution of Economic and monetary union and nominal and real convergence criteria, which I analyze concerning The Theory of Optimum Currency Areas. In the second, practical part, I will put my mind to satisfying each real convergence criteria (from years 2004 to 2006) in the Slovakia and I will compare it with other states of European Union, especially with Visegrad Four. In the final part I will analyze pros and cons of adopting Euro in Slovakia.
Analysis of tour operators’ supply in reference to selected territory - Slovakia

The diploma work analyses the Czech tour operators' supply in reference to the territory of Slovakia. The work finds out, what kind of tours tour operators offer and if there are differences among the tours. The tour operators' supply is then compared with the primary tourist supply of Slovakia. Its goal is to evaluate how much the tour operators' supply covers the potential of selected territory. In addition a survey in the form of a questionnaire is used to find out why Czech citizens don't use tour operators' services when traveling to Slovakia.
Současný ekonomický vývoj Česka, Maďarska, Polska, Slovenska a Slovinska

This diploma thesis interprets processes of contemporary economic development in Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, whereas it is focused on the comparision of selected macroeconomic indicators and at the same time some main factors, which significantly influence the economic development in the area, are highlighted. According to the diploma thesis structure - chosen geographical, demographic, social and regional attributes are identified at first. Afterwards a brief view of transformation process to the free market economies leads to the chronologically organized characteristics of an economic development in the territory. The period of a primary interest begins with a phase 2003-2007 while the year 2008 and predictions of an on-coming development are discussed separately. The very last chapter recapitulates a progress in the euro adoption process and then examines an actual convergence criteria fulfilling in countries, which the euro currency haven't adopted (until 1. 1. 2009) yet.
PPP (Public Private Partnership) Projects in the countries of Visegrad Four

The diploma thesis is concerned with the problems of PPP projects (Public Private Partnership) in the countries of Visegrad Four. The term PPP can be understood as a cooperation of public and private sector. The principal aim of cooperation is to ensure public infrastructure and services. First part of thesis characterizes coutries of Visegrad Four, explains principles and benefits of PPP and informs about main countries and sectors in which PPP projects are realized. The core of the thesis is the fourth chapter which analyzes and evaluates V4 coutries on the basis of several criteria (legislation, institutional support, methodics and realized projects) and attempts to find out if those criteria influence the implementation and number of PPP projects in V4. Final part points out that PPP projects can be helpful for states in times of financial crisis to finance services or infrastructure if they do not have enough money.
Development of tax structures of the European Union countries from 1990

Bachelor thesis includes an assessement of the development of tax structures in the selected five countries of the European Union from 1990 to the present. They are the Czech Republic, Greece, Slovakia, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Part of this work is theoretical introduction, in which they are given basic knowledge of the tax quota, the tax mix, tax reforms and the factors which affect the state's tax revenues. The main objective of this work is to describe the evolution of tax mixes and tax quotas of each countries. Subsequently, the thesis includes a comparison and evaluation of overall trends of the tax quotas and the tax mixes.
Development of property taxation in Slovakia 2000 - 2009

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of property taxation from 2000 to 2009 in Slovakia. According to kinds of property, it is divided into parts tackling transfer taxes, road tax (vehicle tax) and immovable property tax. Along with all these taxes, amendments of legal regulations regulating these taxes are analyzed.The focus is put mainly on pointing out the changes which the amending caused in respective legal regulations. The conclusion of this thesis comprises a summary of changes which were made within the given period with a focus on the causes of their formation, which is the goal of this thesis.
Analysis of the offers of tour operators in relation to chosen territory

Theoretical part of the thesis clarifies basic expressions from the area of tourism, spa tourism and of the activities of tour operators and travel agencies. There is a further characteristics of a chosen territory - Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary with the emphasis on spa tourism and wellness in this region. Practical part of the thesis analyses and judges spa and wellness stays according to chosen criteria presently offered by travel agencies and tour operators in those countries. Comparison and analysis of separate offers is stated by means of marketing mix.
Social and demographical development of the region of Trebisov

This thesis occupies mainly by problemacy of social-demografic evolution and general development of region Trebišov after 1989. After theroretic entry is the paper pointing, in analytic part, on finding main specifics and berriers of this region, its main actual problems and concurrency assets. Apportionable parts are then dealing with qualitative and quantitative characteristics of population, environment, transport and its avalaibility and at last the state of regional economy, evaluation of economics conditions for future expansion, characteristic and troubles of local labour market. In synthetic and final part I'm trying to suggest main field and strategies of future progres of this region, built on respective SWOT analysis. The part of this paper is also an evaluation of some current investment and developing projects, benefits of frontier cooperation and proposed specific remedies.
