Determinants of the circulatory system diseases among the Czech population

Determinants of circulatory system diseases among the Czech population Abstract The determinants of circulatory system diseases are very well known, modifiable risk factors and factors widely spread among populations are in focus for the public health research. The aim of this thesis is a quantification of main cardiovascular risk factors in the Czech population using the survival analysis and HAPIEE cohort data. The epidemiologic situation, trends in the Czech population health including "the cardiovascular revolution" is discussed in the first part of the thesis. Among the Czech population high prevalence of many risk factors were found. The education had the strongest impact on cardiovascular health from sociodemographic characteristics. The negative effect of smoking, prevalence of high blood pressure, prevalence of diabetes and physical inactivity was confirmed. On the other hand the impact of obesity, binge drinking and high blood cholesterol level was not significant among the Czech population. The population approach in cardiovascular epidemiology and cardiovascular health promotion as well are discussed in the last chapter. Aplikace shlukové analýzy v modelech životního pojištení

Vzhledem ke vzrůstajícím požadavkům na přesnost vyhodnocování fair value v oblasti životního pojištění je v současné době potřebné nalézt vhodnou metodu, která umožňuje rozdělit smlouvy do shluků. Shluky definované pro tento účel nemají rozumnou interpretaci a i v jiných ohledech se liší od ?klasických? shluků, nicméně některé závěry zde publikované lze jistě zobecnit. V této práci jsou po teoretické stránce popsány metody k-průměrů a metoda SOM, založená na umělých neuronových sítích. V rámci diplomové práce byly navrženy vlastní modifikace těchto postupů. V další části jsou tyto metody kvantitativně zhodnoceny podle klasického hlediska shlukové analýzy a rovněž podle vhodnosti k modelování fair value. Bude ukázáno, že lze celkem úspěšně pomocí vlastních modifikací získat shluky, jejichž vnitroskupinová variabilita je menší, než je tomu u ostatních uvažovaných metod, a jejich fair value se neliší příliš od fair value původních smluv. Na přiloženém CD je uloženo několik zdrojových kódů v Matlabu/Scilabu, které byly vyvinuty speciálně pro účely této práce, a rovněž několik souborů s výstupy z těchto metod.

International arbitration and the Brussels' jurisdictional regime

in English The purpose of this master's thesis is to analyse the interfaces between international arbitration and litigation within the Brussels' jurisdictional regime. Arbitration has always been excluded from the scope of the Brussels' regime. However, the exact scope of this exclusion was always unclear and subject to long lasting debates and disputes. The consequences of determining whether a certain issue falls within the exclusion or not are far reaching and may seriously jeopardise the enforceability of an arbitration agreement and the effectiveness of arbitration in general. The main problem connected with the uncertainty regarding the actual scope of the arbitration exclusion, is the risk of parallel proceedings and conflicting judgements. Firstly, this thesis provides a general characteristic of alternative dispute resolution with focus on international arbitration and sources of its regulation. The overview of the history of the arbitration exclusion follows in order to create a foundation for the following analysis of the exclusion itself. The core part of the thesis aims to determine the scope of the arbitration exclusion, mainly through the analysis of the CJEU's case law and relevant literature. Usability of accounting information during controls of type 3E

The subject of the thesis is using information from the accountancy during controls 3E type (stands for economy, efficiency and effectiveness) by the subsidies aimed at subsidies from European Union funds. Thesis deals with the possibilities of subsidies from the EU through the. ESI (acronym for European structural and investment funds) funds and then how the Czech Republic fulfills the EU regional policy, including the system of applying for subsidies in the Czech Republic. A relatively large part of the thesis consists of the control system of subsidies from EU in the Czech Republic and in connection with this is generally described the principle 3E. For control purposes is as a source of input data used monitor of the state treasury as a result of state accounting reform. This topic is covered in the next chapter, focusing on requirements in accounting for selected accounting units, including the using of information from financial statements published in the monitor of state treasury, is public sector entities and in this chapter is also formulated a hypothesis to determine the details and the useability of this information for control type 3E by the subsidies. The result was a disproving of the hypothesis that the data from the financial statements of the selected accounting units are useful in controlling type 3E and then efforts to custom design the structure of financial statements.

The business plan for the establishment of limited liability company

The aim of this final written exam is to create the business plan of setting up limited company. Knowledge of economy, financial management and marketing are used for detailed research. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part contents theoretical knowledge which are connected with the business target and there is also made concrete business plan. The second part is practice and there is concrete business plan which has been put together on the foundation from the previous research. The aim of this thesis was to found out the ability of survive and profitability of the limited company.

Financial analysis of selected enterprises

The thesis deals with the financial analysis of the company Breweries Lobkowicz Group a.s. in 2010 - 2014 period. It is divided into theoretical and practical part.
Theoretical part focuses on general problematics of the financial analysis. Fundamental terms as balance sheet, profit and loss account, cash flow account are explained in this part of the thesis. However it also analyzes each indicator used in the practical part. Firstly, horizontal and vertical analysis of the financial records are introduced, also differential and ratio indicators are explained, specifically current ratio, quick ratio, cash ratio, profitability of total property and ordinary capital, rentability of sales. Subsequently the thesis describes the rate of indebtedness of the company and indicators of the activity - turnover of the individual components of the assets side. The final subtopic is the overall indexes of rating, specifically as for solvency models Kralick´s Quicktest and as for bankruptcy ones Altman´s model and Index IN05.
The practical part introduces the company Breweries Lobkowicz Group a.s. and the individual methods and indicators mentioned in the theoretical part are applied. Using these indicators the financial analysis itself is carried out. To summarize, the company is long-term loss-making but year-on-year the loss is decreasing. The company registered big progress in 2014 when its own capital reached positive numbers. This change has a positive impact on the development of most of the indicators used in the financial analysis.

Subsidy importance in rural development (Chanovice, Pačejov, Myslív and Velký Bor)

The main goal of the study was to find out and compare the significance of the received subsidies in the development of Chanovice, Pačejov, Myslív and Velký Bor villages. My work in the first place dealt with subsidies as an important part of a village income and as a tool for their development.
The theoretical part is based on the study of special literature and other relevant sources relating to the examined issues. Attention is given to regional development, within which the two programming periods (2007 2013 and 2014 2020) are compared and also the financing of villages.
The knowledge gained in the theoretical part are followed by secondary data analysis, in which it was found that the received subsidies hold an important position in the structure of Chanovice and Pačejov village incomes in the two other villages that position is not so important. Thanks to received subsidies in the period 2007 2013 the villages implemented a lot of developing projects, either infrastructural (most Pačejov village) or other (especially Chanovice village) character. In the framework of the infrastructure based projects all municipalities used the subsidies to build and repaire their water and transport infrastructures. Another field where the municipalities aimed the subsidies was field of education.
Based on semi-structured interviews with mayors of selected villages the empirical part of my work was worked out afterward. The mayors share the opinion that the village development especially the development connected with infrastructure, the subsidies are necessary, but the way to obtain them is very difficult and costly for the small villages

Application of SEO for marketing

The aim of this thesis is to describe in detail the current ways of optimizing websites for search engines (SEO) and to apply them in a broader marketing strategy of italian restaurant La Casa Degli Amici. The thesis presents evidence about the importance of SEO for marketing and can be used as a template for optimizing you own website. This thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains the concepts used in the design and implementation of the practical part. The theoretical part considers 3 main subjects - search engine, users and SEO which represents website creation and optimization. This thesis describes the history of search engines and the way search engines analyze and evaluate a website. It also describes user search strategies and the way users read the search results. In the SEO section we show its advantages, brief history, SEO strategies and description of techniques and tools that can be used for SEO. In the practical part we put together a marketing strategy which consists of website creation, implementation of selected SEO techniques and social network marketing. Implementation of the marketing strategy is evaluated on data obtained during the period between 1. 8. 2016 and 31. 11. 2016. Owner of the restaurant has provided data on sales which were used for overall evaluation of implemented marketing strategy.
