Time of landscape
KOPÁČKOVÁ, Alena
This diploma work is virtually focused on the landscape-painting. The presented painting cycle reflects the temporal variations of landscape. It provides a transcription of emotional experiences and feelings arising from an intimate communication with a certain landscape spot. The changes in time are demonstrated via a repeating motif, which enables to follow the colour variability of the nature and the surrounding atmosphere. Photos attached to the work display the landscape variations in the durations of two years. The regular observations of two tree motives result in a cycle of nine paintings, which can be further divided into three series. The theoretical part of the diploma work clarifies its principal idea. It explains motivations, inspiration resources and circumstances leading to the completing the painting cycle. The attention is also paid to the landscape-painting as a genre art and selected artists, those creations were inspired by the close touch of the nature.
Vertical motives of landscape
HORYNOVÁ, Alžběta
This final work is practically oriented. It consists of painting series of eight landscapes with vertical themes. These are large format oil paintings. In the theoretical part I deal with the current perception of the relationship between man and land, which is based on the current concepts of landscape-painting. The examples of contemporary Czech landscape show some topics that have appeared in the last forty years. For example it is a landscape as a specific interface and abstract paintings, a landscape inside us, a landscape of our civilization. The thesis also discusses vertical motif, which marks the space between the two main elements of the landscape ? the sky and land, which is a fundamental area of human existence.

Among those themes are for example: Creation, Good and evil, About God, Jesus and Christ, Reincarnation, Soul, Ressurection, Holy Trinity. Aivanhov has fresh and undogmatic approach to these themes and he accents that his teaching can serve to a man for the practical work on him or herself. He does not stick to any particular tradition neither he arteficially syncretizes. He rather sees the various levels of the creation and its Creator as a reality which has universal laws and principles. And a mission of man is according to Aivanhov to discover those laws and principles and to live in harmony with them.
