Dwelling environment in the areas influenced by inhibition of underground mining

The mosaic pattern is typical for the dwelling areas. 10 functional categories were separated during the field research in Ostrava region, which was seriously influenced by inhibition of underground mining. These categories were demarcated base on the similarity or the differences town-planning, building and others features, among others number of the floors, the building materials, spatial arrangement, way of using etc. and so with the goal to achieve their readability in the map. The smallest transcribed area in the map of the scale 1:50 000 was the area with extension 50x50 m in the reality. This article contents only a narrative attachment to the map. The original of the map is available in the library of Institute of Geonics Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno.

Deposited precipitation in the Bohemian Forest

Contribution deals with an observation and evaluation of occult precipitation in the Bohemian Forest (=Sumava Mts.). Although occult precipitation is less important type of the wet deposition from the quantitative point of view, this so-called horizontal precipitation represents important input of delivered matter into many mountainous and urban areas.
