Self-health and safety protection in the case of a mass incidence of health damage
KAMENICKÁ, Nikola
The topic of my thesis is Self-health and safety protection in the case of a mass incidence of health damage. The objective of my work was to briefly outline emergency events to which a mass incidence of health damage is considered to belong. Basic activities of medical rescue workers at the scene of such an accident are described to show the potential risks posed on rescue workers in this situation. The thesis also includes an overview of commonly used protective equipment and basic safety instructions. The goal of this study was to determine the level of abidance by principles of safety and health protection in the case of a mass incidence of health damage. Another objective was to review the awareness of risks the rescue worker profession involves in the case of a mass incidence of health damage and to compare the abidance by principles of safety and health protection between medical rescue workers and general nurses in anesthetic-resuscitation department. On the basis of these objectives hypotheses were stated. The quantitative data collection method was used to meet the purpose. The research was conducted through the questionnaire technique in the České Budějovice region. The obtained data were turned into graphs. The values were subsequently converted into percentages and placed below the charts as commentaries. In general, it is possible to say that medical rescue workers as well as general nurses abide by principles of safety measures and know the possibilities of self-protection. However, the research has shown that age has no significant effect on safety measures compliance and education does not significantly effects safety measures compliance. The obtained data show that the safety and health measures are complied with more by medical rescue workers than general nurses in Anesthesiology-resuscitation department, although there are only small percentage differences.
Analysis of safety at work and accident rate at work in manipulation with agricultural products
LEXOVÁ, Jarmila
My diploma work deals with issues of safety at work and accident rate at work in the field of the manipulation with agricultural products. A work accident is usually caused by a number of interrelated factors. Thus, the sources and causes of work accidents affect their frequency. Undoubtedly, the most essential element in health protection and work safety not only in our country, but in the whole of the European Union (EU), is prevention. The obligation of risk assessment seems to be one of the basic principles of the preventive approach to the maintenance of health protection and work safety standards implemented in EU countries. The objective of this paper is to carry out an analysis of factors which play a role in the occurrence of work accidents and, as a result of these analyses, to establish general rules and recommendations for the elimination of the occurrence of such accidents and to design recommendations aimed at practical application.

PINTEROVÁ, Daniela
This thesis is focused on small firms in region of Prachatice and analysing their business risks. There is discription of the state of small and medium-sized enterprises and a brief summary of the risks that affect these companies. The thesis describes situation in South Bohemia, particulary Prachatice region and compares particular South Bohemian regions. Aforementioned research uses questionnaires as a main method, both in the form of personal interviews, as well as in electronic form. There is an obvious conclusion from that research, that the companies are well aware of risks and see them as a threat to their future goals they want to achieve. Diversification and risk shifting are most common instruments to avoid or at lest mitigate those dangers. Companies participating in the survey are most concerned about the business and financial risks. On the other hand, industrial risks are not percieved as significant problem. Among other precautions leasing to reduction of risks is mutual and timely communication betweeen company branches, consideration of indicators in general. Each employee should be aware of the risks associated with his work. Enterprises with a elaborate approach to risk are becoming more competitive, stable and more resilient to external negative influences.

Čížek, Pavel ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Balada, Jakub (referee)
Traditional methodologies of software development are burdened with number of problems, especially its complexity, bureaucracy and sticking on detailed processes defined in advance. This all often mean overtiming and overpricing the project as well as other negative effects. Agile methodologies of software development pursue solving such problems. They are built on principles of team-work, communication and developers' relations and sharing their knowledge. These values are one of the most important in agile development concept. This thesis's target is to identify and describe those principles of agile software development which impact development team functioning, working motivation of developers and focus on the project goals. Reader is first shortly familiarized with general theory of working motivation, team-working and leading to achieve the target. Then particular agile development principles are analyzed and the impact on developers' motivation, whole team functioning and focusing on the project goals is described. Another target of the thesis is to identify requirements on agile software developers, to explain what the need of them lies in and how the absence of these personal characteristics would impact whole team's productivity and the development progress. The last target of this thesis is to examine agile development as a whole. A SWOT analysis is used to achieve this. It states the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities (advantages) and risks of agile development. There is a list of 11 serious mistakes that can take place in the agile development process and heighten the risk of the project fail stated at the end of the thesis.
