Viniculture and wine-production from the legal point of view

This thesis deals with the legislation of viticulture and winemaking in the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is to introduce to the readers both, professionals and non-professionals, viticulture and wine law in its full extensity. For this reason, we deeply analyze the Act No. 321/2004 describing viticulture and winemaking as amended by subsequent law. The thesis is composed of seven main chapters. The abbreviations, witch are subsequently used in the work, are defined in the separate chapter. The first part is an introduction to the topic and describes the origin of growing grape-wine and winemaking. The second part deals with the historical development of vineyard and wine law in the Czech Republic. For the sake of clarity, second part is divided into five subsections. The third chapter defines the position of vineyard and wine law in legal system of Czech Republic and characterizes this specific agriculture sector. The fourth part provides a review of written sources of vineyard and wine law. The chapter is hierarchically separated into the categories: international law, EU law and Czech law. Protection of competition - block exemptions

The main purpose of my thesis was to describe and analyse the system of the block exemptions. Briefly, the block exemption is a kind of exemption from the prohibition under article 101 (1) TFEU because it is supposed to fulfil the criteria of article 101 (3) TFEU. It exempts certain category of agreements, which are covered by the special regulation issued by the Council or more often by the Commission. The paper is divided into seven chapters and the first opening chapters are dealing with more general aspects of block exemption: the function, process of issuing, non- application and the advent of block exemption where the regulation 1/2003 (Modernisation Regulation) should be of special attention. It abolished the regime of previous notification of agreements to the Commission. An introduction to the system of other exemptions from the prohibition under article 101 (1) TFEU is also described there. The following part (chapter 4) focuses more detailed on the kinds of block exemptions, which are divided into the vertical, horizontal and sector exemptions. The thesis focuses on Dutch trade and cultural specifics. First chapter describes geography, demography and history of the country and even speaks about some characteristic symbols of the kingdom. Second chapter serves as an introduction to Dutch economy, its sectors and provides macroeconomic analysis. Third chapter is well connected to the previous one. It adverts to Czech and Dutch trade relations. The most important is chapter four and five. In these chapters you can find cultural and trade specific that could surprise you while negotiations. Consequences of SaaS Model

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Software as a Service is one of the main trends in ICT sector during the past few years. The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce readers this model in its wide ranging consequences and to accomplish a comparison of selected applications from office suite in SaaS model with applications from office suite Microsoft Office. Diploma thesis can be divided into two parts - the first part focuses on the theoretical basis (chapters 2 - 5) and the second part focuses on practical part (chapter 6). The third chapter (the first and second chapters are introduction) describes Software as a Service model and provides answers to the most frequently asked questions that belong to this model. Chapter number four introduces other trends in ICT industry and seeks and finds synergies between SaaS model and those trends. The next chapter deals with the "Does IT Matter?" question and SaaS model. Practical part of diploma thesis (chapter number six) includes comparison of applications from office suite in SaaS model (Google Docs and Zoho Office Suite) with selected applications from office suite Microsoft Office. Pieces of information for creation of this thesis are public accessible resources and resources accessible from University of Economic in Prague. Web 2.0 tools can provide relevant information. This thesis can be useful as instructional material for students and for interested persons. It can be also useful as a source of arguments for persons with competence of choosing information systems.

Solvency II

This thesis focuses on the new regulatory regime for the insurance sector called Solvency II. The aim of this thesis is to introduce and explain the structure of the new regime with its advantages and further to provide an overview of the most important problems linked with the draft of the new directive and the implementation itself. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first two parts shortly survey the current situation in the regulation of insurance markets together with the risks typical for the insurance industry. The third part explains the current rules for solvency calculation and the actual reasons for the introduction of the new regime. The fourth part generally describes the Solvency II directive proposal. Finally, the fifth part deals with the expected impact of the new solvency concept on the insurance market as well as the management of insurance companies.

Analysis of debt holdings in the Czech Republic in the years 2005 - 2007

This bachelor thesis identifies and describes the degree of indebtedness of enterprises in the Czech Republic for the years 2005 - 2007, and for each sector as well as a whole. Industries are matched on the basis of calculated values of indicators for each sector and then compared. Part of this work is the general characteristics of the analysis problem based on verifiable facts. The analysis consists of theoretical introduction and continues with practical calculations, the resulting values are listed in this work and further analyzed.

Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Stock Komerční banka

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the fundamental and technical analysis of stock Komerční banka. After the introduction I concentrate on fundamental analysis, specifically global fundamental, sector fundamental and firm fundamental analysis in which I apply certain models in order to determine the intrinsic value of stock Komerční banka. In the next chapter of the thesis I concentrate on technical analysis of stock Komerční banka, I gradually concentrate on charts, chart's formations and technical indicators in order to determine a suitable time for purchase or sale of stock. The last chapter summarizes the results of both analyses and investment recommendations.

Application of econometric and simulation models in organizing a running race

This diploma thesis deals with application of econometric and simulation models in organizing relay running race od Tatier k Dunaju. In theoretical part the reader is introduced to basic theory regarding econometric and simulation models. Detailed introduction to od Tatier k Dunaju running race follows afterwards. There are used multiple regression models in this thesis which are used to estimate runner s time in his sector based on 10 km run reported time and track profile. Results are compared to those provided by organizer himself and between each other. Simulation models are used to analyze sufficiency of parking lots capacity, which are used by team cars while traveling between sectors. These models are compared to reality and afterwards suggestions to solve recognized issues are discussed.

The Using of Fundamental Analysis to Evaluate the Price of the Chosen Stock

In the first part the diploma thesis is focused for introduction to fundamental analysis and in the second part is the fundamental analysis practiced on O2 Czech Republic a.s. The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine the intrinsic value of stocks selected valuation models and compare them with the market price, and finally issue investment recommendations on selected shares. Global Analysis examines the macroeconomic conditions that affect in the long-term the financial market. Sectoral analysis is focused on the telecommunications sector, where factors affecting the selected sectors are assessed. In corporate analysis, financial analysis is made and in the end intrinsic value of shares O2 Czech Republic a.s. is calculated.
