Usability of connectivity metrics as predictors of species distribution
Kučera, Michal ; Šímová, Petra (advisor) ; Krčílková, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate whether connectivity indices are usable for bird prediction. The study area contains of the whole country but is divided into separate squares with area of 133 km 2 each, where the presence or absence of the bird species is known. The dependence is tested on landscape connectivity indices presented by prof. S. Saura. The land cover contains of Corine land cover 2012 data. The results will be evaluated with logistic regression approach on sample data including 4 different dispersal distances (500 m, 1 000 m, 2 000 m and 3 000 m) and 10 specific bird species typical for given land cover. The corelation between land cover area presence of the bird is also tested.

Tool to assess the landscape connectivity in different area units and dispersal distances
Chrumko, Adam ; Šímová, Petra (advisor) ; Krčílková, Šárka (referee)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to introduce a basic summary of landscape connectivity calculations mainly focusing on the Conefor program and the effect of input parameters on output landscape connectivity indices. One of the main goals is to create an ArcMap Toolbox to simplify the calculation of landscape connectivity indices for many areas of interest. Basic squares that cover the whole Czech Republic were chosen as main areas of interest. These units are used for example for mapping the abundance of flora and fauna. The same indices were calculated for NUTS3 and LAU1 areas in order to compare effect of size of input areas. This thesis provides a simple solution in the form of a Python Toolbox for Esri ArcMap to calculate overall indices of landscape connectivity through a Conefor command line application for a large number of input areas. Forest connectivity for different dispersal distances and input areas of interest was calculated with this Toolbox. As an input vector layer of forests, CORINE land cover data from mapping period 1990, 2000, 2006 and 2012 were used. Input dispersal distances were chosen in the range from 50 to 50.000 meters in order to comprehensively describe their effects on indices. Resultant forest and connectivity changes are represented by cartograms; the effect of input data on output indices is shown in graphs.

Literature search on the topic of lichens of heathlands in the Czech Republic
Vopatová, Lenka ; Kocourková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis excerpts information from published materials regarding lichens in heathlands in Czech Republic, and data of lichens habitats are enriched with description of heathland types (lowland, foothill and alpine) present in a given area. I evaluated factors influencing presence of lichens on various substrates (e.g. sands, serpentine steppe, etc.) in order to compare biodiversity of lichens in various types of heathlands. Gathered information is added to the commented list of lichens with description of habitat areas and substrates.

Impact of environmental factors on the game clashes with motor vehicles on the road in North Moravia
Hubálková, Petra ; Šmíd, Petr (advisor) ; Vykouk, Martin (referee)
The topic of this Bachalor work is the analysis, prevention and possible precautions of collisions of motor vehicles with animals. The work covers Moravskoslezký region. The statistic data from that region are analysed and particular precautions are suggested. The data were obtained from the Czech republic police, the Czech Statistical Office and Generali Inc. assurance company. The work offers a survey of effects resulting in these collisions, such as season of a year, time of a day, weather etc. As part of the work a questionaire survey was carried out in which I focused especially on the driver´s awareness of the problem and their knowledge of what to do in a critical situation. Accompanying the work is also a suggested preventive feature in the form of a propagation materials.

Analysis of beer consumption preferences
Fontánová, Klára ; Hlavsa, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jindrová, Andrea (referee)
The main subject of this thesis is analysis of preferences in beer consumption. The main goal of the thesis is to discover and evaluate factor which could affect consumer's behaviour. Therefore, t2he basis for this thesis is a questionnaire which was prepared according to marketing research principles. The first part is about beer and marketing research. The part about beer contains main historical data, a brief brewing process description, including main ingredients and beer types. Next, there are mentioned main Czech breweries. Inconsiderable part are also factors which affect beer consumption. In the part dealing with the marketing research are described the steps, methods of data collecting ad data resources. The second part is about the questionnaire itself and its evaluation. The questionnaire had 322 respondents. Firstly, the results are summarized and then are tested based on null hypothesis.

Financial analysis of chosen company
Nguyen, Viet Tiep ; Homolka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kotyza, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor paper is focused on the subject of financial analysis. The paper is divided into two parts, where the first part of the paper is theoretical and the second part is practical. The theoretical part explains financial analysis, its usage in business field and its absolute, ratiometric and summary indexes. The practical part of the paper is dedicated to financial analysis of a company called Partners Financial Services a. s. The data used for this analysis is from year 2011 to year 2014. Four other companies operating in field of financial consulting were analyzed for the purpose of comparison. These companies are registered by the association of financial advisers as the biggest players on the market in the Czech Republic. The financial analysis is based on financial statements of the companies in question. The end of the paper provides an evaluation of the analyzed company, where the author states, that the company is stable, profitable with low probability of bankruptcy and that the company is creditworthy.

Transboundary eel (Anguilla anguilla) management plans
Lehoučková, Sabina ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Nechanská, Denisa (referee)
In the bachelor thesis are collected and compared data obtained from available materials that deal with the issue of declining state of European eel (Anguilla anguilla) in European waters. Population decline was recorded already in the 80s of last century and throughout the range, which includes most inland and coastal waters of Europe and North Africa. The first chapter describes the species of Anguilla anguilla, developmental stages and migration cycle, who during his life this species pass. In the following part of the work is information on the Council Regulation (EC) No. 1100/2007 of 18 September 2007 establishing measures for the recovery of the stock of European eel. This regulation requires the individual Member States of the European Union to draw up plans Management of European eel on their territory if the area falls between habitats eel. The next section discusses the management plans for the Czech Republic, England and Wales, the Netherlands, Denmark and Spain. The management plans are then selected individual chapters devoted to the definition of the basin, which measures for the recovery of the eel population concerning the procedure for determining the target escapement levels of 40 % of adults with eel in marine waters and further concrete measures implemented by means of the watercourses which should be the target level achieved. The final part is devoted to the discussion, which are summarized and compared the measures used by Member States in the individual management plans. Furthermore, this part contains data on the eel population after the introduction of primary measures for its renewal.
