Study of properties of concrete with "green cement"
Matyk, Tomáš ; Dorazilová, Irena (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The thesis focuses on collecting available information about possible ways of using and usage restriction of portland blended cements and portland cements with limestone for production of concrete. The experimental part of the thesis describes the behavior of portland blended cements and portland cements with limestone in aggressive environments. Furthermore, the thesis concerns the dependence of rheological properties of cement pastes of portland cements and portland cements with limestone on type of plasticizing additives.

Reactions of HDPE in the melt initiated by peroxides
Hampapa, Břetislav ; Kučera, František (referee) ; Petrůj, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with HDPE modification by crosslinking. In the theoretical part, data available in the literature were reviewed. Modifications of the selected HDPE copolymer grade were carried out in a kneading device Brabender using 25 ml chamber size. After having optimized process conditions, there were performed a series of experiments in dependence on concentration of the initiator. Reological properties of polymer samples were investigated by melt flow indexes measured under different conditions. Changes in crystallinity and melting temperatures were evaluated from DSC heat flow measurements. The samples meeting characteristics supposed were selected for measuring complex viscosity on the Rheometer AR-G2 TA and for testing some mechanical properties on the device Zwick.

Properties of cementitious composites with plasma treated polymer fibers
Počekajlo, Václav ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Modification of polymer fiber low temperature plasma is one of the ways to enhance the properties of modified fibers as follows. This work aims to evaluate the effect of plasma treated polypropylene fibers on the rheological properties of cement composites. The theoretical part describes the treatment and the effect of plasma treatment on polymer fibers. The influence of polypropylene fibers treated by low-temperature plasma on the workability of concrete. The practical part is described and evaluated experimental verification of the influence of the addition of commercially available fibers and fibers treated plasma on the rheological properties of fresh cement composite.

Spinnability of PEO solutions with respect to their aging
Zelenková, Jana ; Peer, Petra ; Filip, Petr
Non - negligible portion of pol ymer commodity suffers from ageing that participates in sometimes significant changes of products attributes. Rheology represents a useful tool for a description of this process. The aim of this contribution is to evaluate possible ageing of PEO solution ( polyethylen e oxide ( M w =300,000 g/mol) dissolved in water at 10 wt.% concentration) based both on rheological characterization and on quality of electrospun fibres. Rheological measurements in steady shear and oscillatory modes were carried out using a rota tional rheometer MCR 501 (Anton Paar, Austria) equipped with the concentric cylinders geometry. The electrospinning measurements were executed with the help of a proposed laboratory device. The tip - to - collector distance attained 20 cm, applied voltage rang ed from 20 to 30 kV. The obtained electrospun fibres were analysed using a scanning electron microscope (VEGA 3, Tescan, Czech Republic). Both types of measurements were carried out in the period of several months during which the solution studied was plac ed in a dark and tempered box (25°C). The measurements indicate no ageing impact on rheological characteristics or quality of electrospun fibres. This guarantees more or less the identical quality of non - woven textiles prepared from PEO solutions regardles s of time period during which the solutions are deposited.
