Suggestion and verification of distance education in the school club during the Covid-19 pandemic

The presented thesis focuses on the issue of distance learning in after-school care during the coronavirus crisis. The theoretical part deals with the topics of after-school care, a younger school age child, as well as the issue of the coronavirus crisis and distance learning. There is also a theoretical foundation for the creation of worksheets, which are the main goal of the diploma thesis. The second goal of the thesis is to create methodical sheets for educators. The third goal is to verify the comprehensibility, functionality and usability of the submitted materials. The practical part of the thesis is based on the creation of worksheets and methodical sheets. These created materials were then further subjected to research. With the help of a questionnaire survey focused on educators, the functionality and usability of worksheets and methodical sheets during distance and full-time teaching were determined. To find clarity, a simpler type of feedback questionnaire was proposed for a group of younger school-age children at the end of each worksheet. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that worksheets for children of younger school age are comprehensible. According to the addressed educators, worksheets are also usable and functional both in distance teaching and in the activities of the after-school club. The worksheets and methodical sheets created can benefit other educators and can serve as inspiration for their further work.
The Influence of Distance Learning on Dependence of Children on The Internet

The bachelor's thesis focuses on how long-term online learning affects children and young students' time spent online. In the theoretical part are the findings on addiction itself, social networks and other typical activities for spending time online in distance learning as well as distance learning itself is presented. The content of the practical part focuses on a quantitative research study. The chosen method of data collection is a questionnaire survey aimed at primary and secondary schools. From the acquired data, it is concluded how much distance learning has affected the time spent on the Internet before and now in distance learning.
The teacher´s position throughout the parents eyes of children at lower secondary school

The bachelor thesis deals with the position of the teacher through the eyes of the parents of pupils of the lower secondary school. The theoretical part briefly describes the development of the pedagogical profession from antiquity to the present. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with contemporary education, its issues in terms of salaries, status and respect of teaching staff. A separate chapter consists of distance learning, which describes its course from March 2020 to its official completion in March 2022, presents the positives and negatives that the school system had to deal with. The theoretical part concludes with a short presentation of the 2030+ Strategy and its vision for the future of the education sector. The practical part interprets the opinions of parents of pupils at the lower secondary school on distance learning, records their change of opinion about their child's teacher and overall changes in the educational process from their point of view.
Generation Alpha and its relationship to the social media

This paper aims to examine the Generation Alpha and particularily what is the role of media in their lives. The whole text is sourced from academic research and surveys both from the Czech Republic and across the world. In the first part, the paper describes the topic of generations in general, offers definitions and approaches to classifying generations - and reasoning behind these. Moreover, the first part of the paper compares generations preceding the Generation Alpha. The second part describes specific characteristics of the Generation Alpha, their values, attitude to education and focuses on the psychosocial developement of this age cohort. It focuses on the distance learning and its impact on this generation, since the fallout of COVID-19 pandemic caused it to be unprecedentedly widespread. Work of Mark McCrindle, the man who named the Generation Alpha, is briefly mentioned here. The final part describes media, their impact on human personality developement and Generation Alpha in particular. A comparison is drawn between how Generation Alpha of Czech Republic relates to media and what is the global picture.
The role of the teaching assistant in distance learning

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out what functions teaching assistants facilitated during distance learning. The thesis is divided into two parts: a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part is based on the contemporary literature and focuses on two key concepts required for it - the teaching assistant and the distance learning. The first chapter is devoted to a subject of the teaching assistant and focuses on the historical development of this profession in the Czech republic, the teaching assistant in inclusive education, his/her prerequisites and the scope of work. The end of the first chapter is dedicated to cooperation and communication of the teaching assistant with teachers and legal representatives of pupils with special educational needs. The second chapter of the theoretical part is focused on distance learning, its historical development, specifics and e-learning. The end of this chapter and the entire theoretical part addresses the distance learning as a phenomenon of the Coronavirus period. The practical part is based on a quantitative research, which uses a method of questioning. The aim of the practical part is to identify different roles and activities of the teaching assistants during the distance learning.
The opinion of pupils, their parents and teachers about distance learning associated with the closure of schools during a state of emergency

This diploma thesis examines the impact of distance learning, which was introduced in connection with the closure of schools during the state of emergency, on the educational process from the perspective of pupils, their parents and teachers. They report on the problems they have encountered during distance learning and where they see gaps. The research investigation focuses on the school closure period in spring 2020 and autumn 2020. The thesis also looks at the compensation offered to pupils in relation to distance learning.
Educational needs of elementary school teachers in distance teaching

This bachelor thesis focuses on the readiness of first grade teachers for distance learning. The aim of this work is to map the readiness of teachers for distance learning from their point of view. In the theoretical part, the work focuses on the concept of classical and current teaching, on the contrast between various forms of teaching, on distance learning in the world and in the Czech Republic, on communication between student and teacher. The practical part of the work will try to discover how teachers felt prepared for the distance learning. What is their experience and what support they have received.
Distance learning in German language lessons

This diploma thesis responds to the newly emerging need for distance learning during the coronavirus crisis. The theoretical part presents the specifics of distance learning of foreign languages, while searches of professional texts and final reports of CSI for distance learning of German and an overview of computer applications that foreign language teachers have available to prepare their own teaching. The main emphasis is on the empirical part of the work. It analyzes the Team Deutsch textbook in great detail, including all materials available online, especially in terms of the possibilities of their use in distance learning. Selectively, on the basis of own methodology, suitable texts and suitable exercises are selected, on this basis a specific procedure for working with them in teaching is proposed. These materials are tested, monitored and evaluated on the basis of evaluation forms. Based on the acquired knowledge and using specific software and selected computer applications, own texts and exercises suitable for distance learning of German are designed and their use is verified in our own pedagogical practice.
Relationship of selected conditions influencing a school preparation of students from lower secondary school

The diploma thesis deals with various internal and external factors in the field of psychology, pedagogy and sociology, which may have a direct impact on school success or failure of primary school pupils. The theoretical part aims to map the main concepts. An important part of the literature search consists of its own description of selected internal and external factors that contribute to the quality of school preparation. The diploma thesis also includes a current section dealing with school success and failure in the period of distance learning. In the empirical part, in connection with the findings, a quantitative research is carried out among the pupils of the 2nd grade of primary schools in the Tábor region in the age range of 11-15. The questionnaire is followed by research questions, combining individual selected factors with school success / failure. The questionnaire survey conducted among pupils also includes an analysis of the problem of school preparation from the point of view of teachers, which form the other side of the reciprocal relationship between teacher and pupil.
Managerial communication in education

The aim of this diploma thesis was to analyze and evaluate communication in education. The method for determining the state of communication in selected schools was the use of questionnaires for school principals, teachers and students. The questionnaires focused on quantitative research and included open and closed questions in written and electronic form. The research focused on managerial communication, the flow of information in schools, consultations, relationships and conflicts in the workplace between teachers, conflicts between students, criticism and praises. The output of the questionnaire research analyzes communication problems and their causes. The conclusion describes the proposals and solutions to communication problems that schools can use to improve the current situation.
