Steam boiler for demolition wood

The threat of depletion of fossil fuels is the driving force to diversify energy sources in the Czech Republic respectively in the European Union but also worldwide. One of these potential sources are being biomass boilers. The construction of these boilers has expanded in recent years because of government support for the construction of clean energy sources. Whether it is a burning of clean biomass or just incorporation of biomass to fossil fuels, teh substitution of fossil fuels and biomass boilers are the ideal solution. Their major advantages include significant reductions in emissions, mainly sulfur compounds, organic closure of the cycle of CO2 and disposal costs of spent residue.
Steam turbine

This Master’s thesis deals with the general principles of design and preliminary project work on the tender processing of small industrial, heating backpressure or condensing steam turbine, engine hall for the supplied turboset, perhaps even the other functional units attached to the turboset, such as cooling circuit, condensing system and output of the cable harnesses from the generator. This thesis does not include a condensate preparation, steam production for a new turbine or a measurement and regulation control system.
Sodium steam generator for experimental stand

This thesis deals with the experimental liquid sodium heated steam generator. The first chapters describe the many aspects that should be taken into account when designing this type of steam generator. Furthermore, is approximated in the proposal the work itself. On the basis of thermal, hydraulic calculation of strength and was chosen one preferred option. In conclusion, the best option is evaluated steam generator sodium-water and the possibility of realization.

Roman spa - sauna world

The subject of the master´s thesis is the architectural study of Spa world at Brno dam. The Spa is designed as part of the Aqua park, which was solved in atelier´s project. The building is located close to the Brno dam in hilly terrain. The proposed Spa world offers visitors the opportunity to relax, rehabilitation and entertainment in a variety of saunas. The Aqua Park is also a restaurant, massage, fitness center, shop, indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
Heat Recovery Steam Boiler for Cogeneration Unit

The main goal of this Master's thesis was to design heat recovery steam boiler for cogenera-tion unit of a biogas plant while flue gas was flowing from an engine exhaust. Its temperature and required pressure of a steam were assigned. The thesis contains thermal, aerodynamic, hyd-raulic calculations and verification of wall thicknesses for pressure parts of the boiler. Follow-up results of these calculations served for making of projection drawings as well as equipment needed for reliable boiler operation.
The heat transfer medium in heating systems

Theme of diploma thesis is the heat transfer medium in heating systems. The thesis is departed to three parts. In the first part, there is a theoretical solution of heat transfer mediums. In the second part, there is a calculation solution of the project. Project solves heating of the apartment building. There are two variants of heating source and water treatment. Those variants are compared. The last part is experimental part. Theme of the experiment is quality of heating water in heating systems.
Electric power generator with steam engine

My bachelor thesis is focused on design and production of power generator driven by single-acting piston steam engine. Thesis includes introduction into the issue of steam engines and their history and it describes construction of their individual elements. The next part of the thesis describes manufacturing process of electrical and mechanical components and their optimization for given system. Thesis also includes research and development of new components of the steam engine in order to increase its efficiency and it describes possibilities of using the energy for small applications. The result of the thesis is a measurement and commissioning of the entire system. In conclusion achieved results and options of modification of steam power generators are discussed.
Gasification of Pine Wood Chips with Air-Steam in Fluidized Bed

Tato práce studovala vliv použití vzduchu a páry jako zplynovacího činidla ve zkapalňovacím generátoru plynu na vlastnosti vyprodukovaného plynu (oxid uhelnatý, vodík, obsah dehtu a nízká výhřevnost). Tato studie byla založena na experimentech které byly provedeny ve fluidním generátoru plynu Biofluid 100 v laboratoři Energetického ústavu technologické univerzity Brno s použitím páry jako zplynovacího činidla a borovicového dřeva jako výchozí suroviny. Cílem této dizertační práce je stanovit nejlepší provozní parametry systému při užití vodní páry a vzduchu ve zplynovacím zařízení biofluid 100, při kterých se dosáhne nejvyšší kvality plynu. K dosažení tohoto cíle bylo provedeno mnoho experimentů studujících účinky teploty reaktoru(T101), poměru páry a biomasy (S/B) poměru páry a vzduchu (S/A), teploty dodávané páry (Tf1), ekvivalentního poměru ER,ve složení vyprodukovaném plynu, výhřevnost, výtěžnost plynu, efektivnost přeměny uhlíku a účinnost zplynovače. Výsledky experimentů ukázaly, že zvýšení teploty reaktoru vede ke zvýšení obsahu vodíku a oxidu uhelnatého, výhřevnosti, výtěžnosti plynu, efektivnosti přeměny uhlíku, efektivnosti zplynovače a ke snížení obsahu dehtu. Příliš vysoká teplota reaktoru ale snižuje výhřevnost plynu. Dodáváním páry se zvýšila kvalita plynu, vyšší H_2,LHV a nižší obsah dehtu. Přesto ale nadměrné množství páry snižuje zplyňovací teplotu a tím i kvalitu plynu. Poměr páry a biomasy při kterém se dosáhne nejlepší kvality plynu se zvýší s teplotou reaktoru. Bylo zjištěno, že kdykoli byla teplota páry (Tf1) vyšší, byl plyn více kvalitní, ale zvyšování teploty páry také zvyšuje ekonomické náklady na vyprodukovaný plyn což se při masové produkci plynu musí brát v úvahu. Efekt ekvivalentního poměru ER, byl studován postupným zvyšováním, bylo zjištěno, že nejlepší ekvivalentní poměr pro dosažení nejvyšší kvality plynu byl kolem 0.29, při ER > 0.29 byl obsah hořlavého plynu snížen a to vedlo ke snížení kvality plynu. Obsah dehtu se snižuje jak zvýšením teploty reaktoru tak poměrem páry k biomase. Podle výsledků experimentů a diskuze, bylo zjištěno, že při použití směsi páry a vzduchu se kvalita plynu zvýší, parametry pro dosažení nejvyšší kvality vyprodukovaného plynu při experimentálních podmínkách jsou: T101 =829 S/B=0.67((kg steam)/(kg biomass)) ,S/A=0.67((kg steam)/(kg air)) , ER= 0.29 and a Tf1 je nejvyšší možná teplota,při které se vodík zvýší z 10.48 na 19,68% a výhřevnost z 3.99 na 5.52(MJ/m^3 ) a obsah dehtu z 1964(mg/m^3 ) na 1046(mg/m^3 ) zvýšením z 0 na 0.67 při T101=829 .
Design of heating water heat exchanger, capacity 200 MW

The thesis is focused on the design proposal of thermal heaters for heating water in heat-exchanger station with a total output of 200 MW. The aim of the work is conceptual design of heat exchangers, thermal and hydraulic design of individual heaters and preview of flow of mass and energy. The outputs of the work are written calculations, design drawing of one heater and design of a heater arrangement in exchanger station. The objectives of the work are filled completely. The work is focused on issues directly related to the actual design of heat exchangers, does not give a general overview of the topic. Thermal calculation is limited to the calculation of heat transfer surfaces for condensation of steam and condensate hypothermia.
