2-stroke Engine for Small Motorcycle
Hlaváč, Štěpán ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis contains an engineering design of a two-stroke engine for small motorcycle. In the first part, the background research of these motors was made. Main dimensions of the engine and a calculation of the forces acting in crank mechanism were determined. Further check stress analysis of connection rod and calculation using a finite element method were performed. This diploma thesis also includes virtual 3D models of all designed parts and a drawing of cross section of the motor.
Silicone torsional vibration damper for a six-cylinder diesel engine
Kovář, Lukáš ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design crankshaft for in-line six-cylinder diesel engine and to design viscous torsional vibration damper for the cranktrain of specified parameters. The thesis includes the creation of a dynamic torsional model of cranktrain and calculation of forced vibrations of mechanism with and without damper. Part of this thesis is also strength analysis of the designed crankshaft with damper using the Finite Element Method (FEM).
Piston for VW TDI 81kW Engine
Skoupý, Petr ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor‘s work deal with proposal piston for VW TDI 81 kW engine. Aim this work is determine principal dimensions of the engine, the crank mechanism and piston. At the beginning are describes a parts of the engine and then there the piston assembly. Further there is a work deal constructional design and material of piston. In a last way too strenght calculation of critical piston cross-sections.
Crank Train of a V6 Compression-ignition Engine
Homola, Petr ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This master thesis, concentrated on crank train mechanism of diesel V6 engines with special focus on design and construction of crankshaft, is divided in two main phases. First phase is concept, which contains brief introduction of diesel V-engines construction, parameters of chosen engine unit, especially crank train mechanism, design of crankshaft and 1D analysis of torsional vibrations. Second phase is layout, this phase deals with MBS 3D analysis with flexible FEM models of crankshaft and engine block. These outputs are used for fatigue analysis of crankshaft.
Piston for 80kW 4-stroke CI-engine
Vostrejž, Jan ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a piston design for a four-stroke spark-ignition engine with the power of 80kW. The aim of this thesis is to determine main proportions of the engine, the piston, the crank mechanism and to perform a solidity check of the critical piston crosscuts. The thesis also contains a design documentation of the piston for the spark-ignition engine.
Two-cylinder inline diesel engine with an eccentric crank for commercial vehicles
Černohous, Tomáš ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this master’s thesis is to examine the influence of eccentricity on the behaviour of forces between the piston and cylinder liner and on balancing of the crank mechanism for given parameters of the diesel engine. Another aim of this paper is to propose an appropriate balancing of the crank mechanism followed by stress analysis considering torsional vibration for a chosen value of eccentricity.
Innovative tool for removing bad pronunciation of the letter "R"
Rexová, Natálie ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The purpose of this final thesis is to find out about Speech Therapy and to design a device which would help with oscillation of human tongue when the sound r is pronounced. To better understand this subject first part of this thesis takes interest in evolution and physiology of human speech. Next the most common articulation disorder Dyslalia is named and methods for treating Dyslalia are described. In practical part the device for Speech Therapy is designed and created. It is based on frequency of human tongue oscillations and it helps to correct difficulties with sound r articulation. This prototype uses electric motor which is controlled by Arduino platform. Its rotational motion is converted to linear through mechanical construction simulating crank mechanism.
Reduction of cranktrain mechanical losses
Lhota, Martin ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis Reduction of cranktrain mechanical losses is to describe the issue of lowering mechanical losses occuring in the crank mechanism of internal-combustion engine. Therefore it aims to create a list of mechanical losses main sources, to show suitable methods to determine them, and to describe some of earlier used concepts leading to reduction of friction losses. Further, it is focused on the description and comparison of existing trends by which the given problem can be solved to a certain extent. The thesis also tries to evaluate these trends by an analysis following the standpoint of effectiveness and progressiveness, and to formulate a conclusion.
Crankshafts design
Tetour, Stanislav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Šopík, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with construction design of crankshafts for combustion engines and comparison of individual configurations of automobile engines. The thesis also discusses technology of manufacturing and surface finishing of crankshafts with list of material for given purposes. The thesis describes reasons for imbalance of engine and possibilities of their balancing.
Piston for SI CNG 140 kW Engine
Hrouzek, Jan ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the piston for modified engine 1.4 TSI from Volkswagen concern. It includes calculation of kinematics and forces reactions of the crank mechanism of the engine for speed 6071 rpm elaborated in the program Mathcad Prime. Further the work includes calculation for reducing the magnitude of lateral force and design of several variants of the piston. For the proposed design variants of the piston are performed FEM analysis of mechanical state of stress and comparisons of contact pressures in the program ANSYS Workbench.
