Content Based Photo Search
Dvořák, Pavel ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis covers design and practical realization of a tool for quick search in large image databases, containing from tens to hundreds of thousands photos, based on image similarity. The proposed technique uses various methods of descriptor extraction, creation of Bag of Words dictionaries and methods of storing image data in PostgreSQL database. Further, experiments with the implemented software were carried out to evaluate the search time effectivity and scaling possibilities of the design solution.
Automatic Selection of Representative Pictures
Bank, Tomáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This paper belongs to field of computer vision. It deals with clustering photographs by content and selection of representative one. In this paper is described a few methods and approaches to reach the goal, and proposal of algorithm comes from those approaches. The example of usage this application can be selecting a representative photo from large albums.
Vytipování souboru popisných znaků rodu Hosta pro potřeby evidence genových zdrojů
Beranová, Anna
The diploma project is focused on identifying the descriptive characters of the hosta genus. Its result is a descriptor that consists of thirty-two features divided into three sections based on morphological, biological and economic attributes. In view of the fact that hosta is valued principally for its decorative leaves, attention within searching for descriptive features was paid mainly to them and to a general description of the plant.
Petunia hybrida - porovnání růstu standardních a geneticky kompaktních odrůd v průběhu pěstování květinové sadby
Černá, Markéta
The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the growth dynamics of standard and genetically compact varieties of petunias. The experiment was conducted in the close cooperation with company Černý, Jaroměř. Firstly is introduced this plant genus in terms of origin, morphology as well as horticultural classification. Then is described in detail the plant production, included are also petunias' most common diseases and pests. This is followed by a chapter devoted to petunia breeding aiming for the compact growth as well as to chemical and non-chemical methods which enable the grower to maintain the compact habit of plants also in plant production of standard varieties of petunias. In the last part of the literature review are described the groups of genetically compact petunia varieties that were launched on the market till now. Finally is provided an economic comparison of genetically compact and standard varieties of petunias. Seeds of genetically compact varieties are more expensive, but the grower saves money for the morphoregulators and their application because it is not required to use. In the practical part are compared 28 varieties of petunias, 10 standard and 18 genetically compact, based on 8 aspects - plant height, diameter (width), earliness, vitality, number of true leaves, number of shoots, number of flowers and compactness. It was tested whether in the optimal date for sale and two weeks after this date are the genetically compact varieties significantly shorter than the standard varieties and whether the quality of these tested varieties is good also two weeks after the optimum, so the grower can still sell these plants to the customers.

Janíčková, Eva
The theme of the work of Care and Rehabilitation of the Gene Pool of the Genus Asparagus L. The aim of the thesis was to find out the status of the gene pool of the genus Asparagus L. on the land in Lednice horticultural faculty in 2013 and draw up the current map. Watch the morphological, biological and economic characters. Rated was the beginning of sprouting and budding stem discoloration. The variety No. 00019, 00018, 00012 were identically with the year 2014 earlier than other items of the gene pool. Of the four items of the gene pool to ensure the seed from the free pollination. Statistically, he was shown the influence of varieties on the length, number of phylocladias, and the height of the stem at the end of vegetation. The highest amount of vitamin C, 254, 7 mg. 1000 g-1 was measured from the sample item No. 00001. Nitrate levels in all samples was very low. Summarized data of the set of descriptors has been proposed.
Metodika hodnocení taxonomické skladby trvalek pro potřeby oboru ZaKA
Hrabík, Jiří
The evaluation methodology of taxonomic structure of perennials for the needs of horticulture and landscape architecture defines a new way of description and selection of the best quality varieties of perennials for use in practice. This methodology originated from a previously published evaluation methodologies of taxonomic structure of perennials and it has been enriched with new features. These features include the new system of capturing of development of variety during the time of year and the system of overall evaluation of varieties using the defining parameters (not only the subjective evaluation). This methodology is the main output of this thesis. The methodology was tested on a range of the genus Hemerocallis L. in the complex of Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice, Mendel University in Brno. According gained experience from the field the methodology has been improved and amended. The methodology was developed to combine the efficiency and accuracy of selecting varieties with good economy of evaluation. It is also useful for a wide range of taxa (after modification). If the methodology will be applied in the future, it will be possible to use it to select the most suitable varieties for the landscape architecture objects.

Usage of the methods of cluster analysis for comparasion of regions with regard on their development potential
JIŠA, Pavel
In five thematic sections was realized the cluster analysis which is one of more-dimensional statistical methods. In the base of monitored indexes in thematic sections were identified the general, significant attributes and differences chosen regions. In the base of results of quantitative analyses was made the SWOT analysis and elaborated the recommendations to increase their attractivity.
