This diploma thesis focuses on stock management and related issues in the automotive industry. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part discusses general concepts of logistics and stock management. There are described patterns of production and its connection to the warehouse and logistics issues and more. The practical part focuses on a specific environment of companies operating in the automotive industry and describes its parts and logistics processes that are somehow related to the stock management. The practical part is also more elaborated on Aftermarket issues.

Purpose of this thesis is to create strategies based on market analyses for optimized inventory management in area of small batch production and enforce meaning of the supply chain marketing within KLM company. This thesis providing ABC analysis, new system developed for efficient identification of the parts and suppliers. Based on these analyses new quotation system for spare parts management has been proposed.

This Thesis deals with the study and analysis of the packaging management in KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. – a glass company in Sázava, The Czech Republic. The Thesis consists of three parts. The first part deals with theoretical background of logistics, inventory and packaging management. The second part analyzes the current packaging management and the ABC analysis of the suppliers and packaging. The third part suggests such a solution that ensures a more effective cooperation with the suppliers of packaging in the packaging business, providing meeting quality and cost.

This master thesis is aimed at optimalization of chosen processes of manufacture of the company DH DEKOR Spol. s r.o. which is engaged in production of impregnated paper and laminated boards. On the basis of the results of processes in storehouse and manufacture of impregnated paper there are given proposals and possible measurments whitch leads to minimalization of time and financal losses.

The result of this work is the recommended proposal of the best and as well as cost friendly solution for company ARKOV, Ltd.

This master thesis concentrates on the stock level management in the business company. With the help of ABC, XYZ analysis and the calculation of the optimal deliveries gives the possible instruction how to reach the right stock level for the chosen company. Also gives the possible method how to prevent the main problems in this area, which represent the overstock or understock and so the inability to satisfy the customer.
