Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone
Pavelková, Zuzana ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Master's thesis topic: Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone Author: Bc. Zuzana Pavelková Branch of study: TVS_B Disertation Tutor: PhDr. Petr Šifta, Ph.D. Year of Defense: 2012 Abstract: The aim of this study was to discover, whether four selected rehabillitation techniques (dry-needling application, cryotherapy, stretching and kinesiotaping) influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. It was assumed, that above mentioned methods decrease the muscle tone of selected muscles, that was increased by previous running performance or owing to acute or chronic problems with Achilles tendon. The muscle tone was measured by myotonometer in Kinesiology laboratory, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague; muscle tone of twelve students of thisfaculty was measured. Data were displayed by using an analog- digital convertor and consequently evaluated. The results of this study indicate, that four selected rehabillitation methods influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. The muscle tone was best influenced by application of dry-needling and by kinesiotaping; results of muscle tone measurement after dry-needling application and kinesiotaping confirmed above stated...

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after reosteosynthesis of the femur Objectives: Primary objective of this work is learning about all aspects concerning the osteosynthesis exchange; to gain the theoretical knowledge from literature and to demonstrate the special skills on a specific patient. I have made the review in theoretical part; I focused primary on the fracture, complication of fractures, and intramedullary nailing. I have described a case study with the specific patient in the practical part. Methods: I have learnt the theory dealing with orthopaedic and traumatology and I extended my understanding of physiotherapy in rehabilitation. I studied the diagnosis of a particular patient, interviewed him and collected anamnestic data. I made kineziology analysis. I applied the therapy; I minimalised the consequence of the surgery he underwent. I made closing kineziology analysis at the end of therapy. I compared both analyses. Results: I evaluated the results in the chapter Effect of therapy. The swelling of the operated extremity was succesfully removed. Full articular extent was reached by this extremity. I positively supported muscle power, it raised through the therapy. The patient is self- sufficient and he is able to walk on crutches. Keywords: femur, fracture,...

Injury prevention is selected EU countries
ŠESTÁKOVÁ, Jana
Abstrakt Injury prevention is selected EU countries. The subject of my diploma work is focused on injury prevention in selected EU countries. Injuries do not present only serious health problem but also socio-economic problem. Traffic injuries in OECD countries contribute in overage 41 % to all deaths of children up to 14 years of age as a consequence of injury. The objective of my work is to describe approach of selected EU countries to injury prevention and map preventive measures in injury prevention in selected countries, including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Italy, Germany and France. Prevention is targeted activity based on cognition that injury prevention is always simpler than dealing with irreversible consequences. Work objectives have been identified by work quantitative research methodology. I have been focused on government documents, legislative regulations as well as other documents dealing with injury prevention. Materials which were subject to secondary analysis were received from several main resources, including governmental, state and non-state institutions of selected EU countries. Due to inaccessibility of some documents or unsuitable or unfound resources, I have used complementary questioning method. I have addressed respondents living and working in selected EU countries. The issue of child injury prevention is on preference positions in political programs, takes place on all levels, including state, regional and local levels. States adopt national injury prevention action plans; approve legislative measures, such as speed in municipalities, use of cycling helmets by children, use of retaining systems. School and out-of-school traffic education is organized in all of the selected EU countries. It should begin already at pre-school age. Parents play significant role as well as state and non state institutions. The most complex program in the selected EU countries is called "Safe Communities". In all of the selected EU countries there are also other organisations which participate in preventive programs, events, trainings and campaigns. In addition other local authorities, administration bodies, organisations and communities of interest and individuals can be invited to cooperate and all these activities can be coordinated and interconnected. The issue of injury prevention must be dealt with continuously. Coordinated and consistent prevention of child injuries has positive impact on reduction of child injury rate and death rate. Result of the work will contribute to better foreknowledge, education and comparison. In addition its will be used for learning purposes by ZSF JU.

A Blueprint of a Conscious Cognitive Agent with Two Internal World Models
Wiedermann, Jiří
We sketch a simple, yet cognitive powerful architecture of a cognitive agent. Our model differs from other similar models by using two complementary internal world models. We know that cognitive potential of one model goes beyond that of the earlier models by its support of algorithmic processes that in their consequences reflect higher cognitive functions such as imitation learning and communication, language, thinking and consciousness development.

Notice and Take Down, on Certain Aspects of Liability of Online Intermediaries
Elbert, Tomáš ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Tichý, Luboš (referee)
5 Abstract The final thesis addresses certain aspects of current topic of online intermediaries' liability for user-generated content ("UGC"). Under Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services ("2004 Act on ISS"), which transposes e- Commerce Directive 2000/31/EC, online intermediaries in the Czech Republic benefit from "safe harbours". Essentially, it means that online intermediaries can be held liable for UGC only if they had actual or constructive knowledge of illegality of the content. This rule implicitly creates the so called "Notice and Take Down" procedure ("NTD"). Online intermediary upon receiving a notice, and thereby learning about the illegality of the content, is obliged to expeditiously take down the illegal content in order to preserve his immunity. However, NTD is neither expressly regulated within the ECD nor within the 2004 Act on ISS. Therefore, the purpose of the thesis is to illuminate NTD procedure and provide guidelines for it successful application within the Czech Republic. The thesis should be helpful not only to online intermediaries, but also to aggrieved parties serving notices. For this purpose the thesis looks not only at the ECD and its transpositions in various Member States, but also at American Digital Millennium Copyright Act 1998 that has been the...

Application of text-optimizing techniques and their influence on adequate text comprehension
Ištván, Marcel ; Rakšányiová, Jana (advisor) ; Vaňková, Lenka (referee) ; Vajičková, Mária (referee)
This dissertation describes a research aimed at finding text-optimization techniques which would increase the comprehension and better the attitudes of the readers towards the text. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of these techniques considering the possibility of implementation into the text-production process of state and commercial institutions. The theoretical basis for text comprehension is the construction of mental representations of the text. Many factors, internal and external, can influence the construction of a correct mental representation of the text. This thesis researches the factors of text quality and attitudes towards the text. Effects of the same text manipulations of Slovak and Dutch texts were observed in three language groups. These were: a group of Slovak native speakers, Dutch native speakers and people who learned Dutch as a foreign language. For this research two texts were selected, namely the instructions provided with the tax declaration form and an instruction manual provided with a digital camera. Parts of the texts were optimized and rewritten into two variants. The first variant is based on the principle of rewriting the text into a dialogue. The instructions for such transformation can be summarized into three points. This approach should be usable for not...

Role of radiological assistant by angiografic procedures
EISNER, Tomáš
Angiography as an X - ray examination of blood vessels showed an expressive development since its creation. From translumbal puncture of the abdominal aorta up to more tender Seldinger technique it led to considerable decrease of occurrence of peripro-cedural complications. Angiographic interventions and involved materials, instrumenta-tion devices and image processing possibilities are expressively improving. Invasive an-giopraphic examinations are substituted by non-invasive interventions like ultrasonogra-phy, magnetic resonance or computer tomography. After all they remain integral part of examination algorithms, especially by vessels interventions. A common note of invasive procedures in Cath-lab - in addition to diagnostics also by an intravascular ultrasonography or by therapeutical procedures like percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, stent implantation, vessels embolisation, trombolysis and trombectomy and other {--} is using of fluoroscopy with ionizing radiation and intravascular application of a contrast medium. Radiologic assistant has its more and more unsubstitutable role by diagnostic im-aging of vessels. Radiologic assistant has to be familiar with course of single intervention and with sequence of doctor{\crq}s operations, in order to be able to fulfill his requirements in time and at the same time he has to understand possible risk of complication's and he has to know how to respond to them properly and in time. Further he must well manage an-giography device and all its parts and know postprocessing picture adjustment. Quality work of radiologic assistant should have fundamental influence on dose of ionizing radiation for patient and for examining staff and on consumption and risks of application of contrast medium. By my own experiences with assistance by 4 628 non-coronary and 14 620 coro-nary angiographic examinations in last 10 years (1997-2006) I found set of 40 patients who were examined by pulse and continual fluoroscopy during angiography of lower limbs arteries at Cardio angiographic department of Faculty hospital in Motol. Conclusions make out advantage of pulse fluoroscopy, of digital postprocessing of images iclusive of 3D imaging and they confirmed hypothesis of ionizing radiation{\crq}s dose and carload of contrast medium. By conclusions of this work I suggest to take care of new imaging technics by invasive digital angiography and insert these knowledges to system of lifelong learning of radiologic assistants.

Function of a camp in children's education
Kamiš, Petr ; Frainšic, Michal (referee) ; Neuman, Jan (advisor)
SUMMARY: The thesis is devoted to problems of summer children's camp, its function and use in children education. There are two relatively independent parts of thesis - theoretic and practical. In theoretic part at the beginning we explained history and origin of camps, scouting, stay in nature and camping globally. Consequently we described educational component of camp and its function. Further we analysed and described individual terms, which are related to the thesis - summer child's camp, economics of camp running, programme, the whole - camp games, daily schedule, health provision, technical provision, catering and not least motion and regeneration of children. We did not forget to aim on the work of leadership, senior manager as well as also connection on camp operator, as well as to other structures, which in function of camp must operate, in order to complete sense of these actions. The practical part of the thesis is realized by the help of questionnaire and independent observation. The research point at activity of camp as whole, whether children on camp liked the camp, how they liked programme of camp, what they missed and whether they learn something. At the same time it adverts to importance and need of close communication among the children and leadership, but also among the children...

Actual trends in contactless payment, contribution of Apple and analysis of market in the Czech Republic including consumer preferences
Novák, Vladimír ; Schlossberger, Otakar (advisor) ; Čarný, Ján (referee)
The main objective of this work is to analyze current trends in contactless payments and consequently implement it on the Czech market. On this base this thesis deals with several wearable devices. Furthermore on this base is also working in the application part, where is one of the secondary objectives of the work to determine consumer preferences on the market of the Czech Republic. One of the secondary objectives is create a brief summary of the history of payment cards and within the sociological aspect to find a certain analogy in introducing innovations in the field of payments towards current trends in contactless methods. Within the secondary objectives there are simultaneously defined key assumptions forms of payment for success on the market. The following section focuses on electronic payments. Specifically, it deals with trends in electronic payment services, where for its implementation aren´t required the physical presence of the card or chip. Furthermore there are analyzed alternative paths in the current payment methods, namely peer-to-peer platforms. On these platforms is based shared economy, which also represents an interesting potential for the possible development of payment field. Chapter with alternative methods for cashless is finished by analyzing digital currencies. The hypothesis of this thesis is whether Apple can have an impact on the area of contactless payments and how it can affect the entire sector. Part of the hypothesis is the claim that Apple manages to change the area of contactless payments, such as happenede in the music industry with iTunes and then in the telecommunications industry with a revolutionary iPhone. Potential benefit of Apple is defined by the method of description. Potential contribution of Apple Pay is characterized by logical deduction base on previous relationships. Conclusion is by quantitative research method, namely through the consumer research, assessed consumer preferences in the Czech Repulic and is also evaluated the hypothesis of potential benefits of Apple contactless payments.
