The use of the concept of basal stimulation in special primary school
SIEBENSTICHOVÁ, Pavla
This bachelor thesis deals with the application of the Basic Stimulation concept at special primary schools, i.e. schools serving for children suffering from serious forms of mental disability, in combination with potential other disabilities. The basic stimulation concept was created by the German special pedagogue Prof. Andreas Fröhlich in the 1970s, for the education of pupils suffering from serious mental or combined disabilities, at special schools. It was applied in nursing by Prof. Christel Binstein in the 1980s. In this area it also used in the Czech Republic for the first time at the beginning of this century, thanks to PhDr. Karolína Friedlová.The objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out in which way basic stimulation may be used at special primary schools and how it can be incorporated into the education programme. In accordance with this objective, my thesis contains a definition of the basic terms, a brief historical outline of the development of basic stimulation and its theoretical foundations, and subsequently the particular techniques that the concept makes use of. The most essential passage is the theoretical definition of possibilities of applying the concept in the special pedagogical practice, particularly at special primary schools. This part is completed with three case studies that present the real application possibilities of the basic stimulation concept at three special primary schools in scope of the whole Czech Republic.

Svoboda, David ; Sklenák, Vilém (advisor) ; Šubrta, Václav (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with web accessibility issues. Its aim is to analyze web pages of major Czech universities and evaluate the accessibility level they provide to their users. The WCAG 2.0 methodology served as a basis for this evaluation process, because it specifies the most current requirements for accessible websites. The purpose of the theoretical part of the thesis is to acquaint the reader with the web accessibility issues. It contains a definition of accessibility itself and also talks about disabled Internet users, for which the compliance of web accessibility standards is crucial. The theoretical part also outlines the legislative regulation of accessibility in the Czech Republic and presents the accessible web development methodologies. The practical part of the thesis contains the accessibility analysis, a description of the evaluated websites and the final test results summary. The main contribution of this thesis is an objective assessment of the condition, in which the web pages of Czech universities are in terms of accessibility. This assessment can serve as a clue for removing any deficiencies that occur on the tested websites.
The attitude and the role of siblings of children with strong mental handicaps in a family
HAZUKOVÁ, Michaela
In the theoretical part I devote to the problems of a health handicap and its division. Further I describe a model of the psychic crisis of parents evoked by the recognition that their child has the handicap. There are outlined specifics of the family that is taking care of the hard handicapped child targeted to the parent of the disabled child and especially to his healthy sibling. An aim of the experimental part is: 1st - to discover how healthy children spend their leisure time with their hard handicapped siblings, 2nd - to find out which requirements from the neighbourhood are laid on the sibling of the handicapped child. For a realization of the experimental part of the work I chose a qualitative type of the research, a questioning method, an interview technique. The research took place in a private milieu of the handicapped children´s siblings without a presence of another person in the period from May to July 2009. Respondents I chose from my own sources thanks to my voluntary activities in ARPIDA Centre. I addressed in total 10 healthy siblings, 7 of them were willing to take part in the research in the end. The experimental set No.1 was made up of healthy siblings at the age from 13 to 21 years. The set No. 2 was made up by three siblings with a hard health handicap being with the persons from the Set No. 1 in the sibling relationship. All the respondents live in České Budějovice or its surroundings. Results of this experiment showed the fact that healthy siblings dedicate their leisure time to their siblings with a handicap mainly in activities they can do together. They are as follows: watching TV, playing games, looking at sports matches, helping to cope with acts etc. Above all the respondents classified their shared time as family rituals: dining, afternoon siestas, feasts, celebrations and visits. All the respondents stated that they feel a greater pressure from their neighbourhood on themselves and each of them bears with the situation in another way. The above mentioned bachelor work can be used in institutions working with families, i.e. Pedagogic psychological counselling services and Special pedagogical centres. This work can also be a contribution for the families of children with the health handicap themselves.

The Causes of Unsuccessful Integration of Primary School Children with Disabilities into Elementary School
JANDOVÁ, Petra
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the causes of unsuccessful integration of disabled young school age children to primary schools. The theoretical part includes a brief outline of integration history in the CR and definitions of basic terms. It also deals with the issue of school integration, including the factors affecting its success rate. The practical part is aimed at finding the causes of unsuccessful integration in two particular cases of pupils with Asperger syndrome diagnosis, which is characterized by lower adaptability to social environment sometimes even leading to acts of aggressiveness. These subsequently lead to exclusion of the pupils from the class where teaching continues in individual form. These pupils were selected upon information from the Education, Youth and Sport Department of the Regional Office of the South Bohemia Region and from the Special Pedagogy Centre in České Budějovice. With regard to the target group size, particularity of the issue and the effort to gain as much colourful picture as possible qualitative research, namely design of case studies, was applied to reach the goal. Data collection was performed by means of content analysis of documents and semi structured interviews with the parties involved of the integration process ? the pupils being integrated and their parents, headmasters, teachers, assistant teachers and classmates. The research lead to the finding that unwillingness of one of the involved parties, i.e. a headmaster or the parents of the child being integrated to cooperate was the main cause of unsuccessful integration process in both the cases.
