Processing 1.0
Pešek, Kryštof ; POSPISZYL, Tomáš (advisor) ; VOJTĚCHOVSKÝ, Miloš (referee)
In the filed of theoretical studies, my work consisting of completing the handbook for programming language called Processing. This particular programing language had been constructed during academical research at Massachutches Institute of Technology by its creators Benjamin Fry and Casey Reas. There are already many handbooks available: (i.e.: Casey Reas and Ben Fry, A programming handbook for designers and artist (2007), Ira Greenberg: Processing Creative coding and Computational Art (2007), Daniel Shiffman: Learning Processing: A Beginner's Guide to Programming Images, Animation, and Interaction (2008), Tom Igoe: Making Thinks Talk: Practical Methods for Connecting Physical Objects (2007).), but none of them is in Czech language. The handbook concept should keep the Processing methodological approach; to give an easy access to modern technology to an art and in general non-technical students. With little or without any previous programming experience.
Using of Semantic Differential for Euducation Assessment at Basic School
ŠERÝ, Michal
One of the methods for collecting data in psychology is a method of semantic differential. The using of semantic differential is very large, this method is widely used in personality research, clinical psychology, market psychology and marketing. In recent years, this method has begun to apply to the area of educational research, above all educational psychology. A basic problem with wide using is the huge volume of data obtained by this method. Some of the options of setting up of a questionnaire with light to the selection of bipolar adjectives are listed in the thesis. The options represent the evaluation dimension, the dimension of activity and potency in terms of both representativeness and relevance. A set of tools for automatized generation of various combinations of questionnaire groups was created. A technical support of data collection, their evaluation and visualization using semantic differential method was also created. These methods will be used in realization of the project of introducing teaching of mathematic in English language at primary schools. The primary goal of this level of analysis is to judge to what extent can two terms (or more terms), generally regarded as semantically similar or different.
Cooperation between VB.NET and MS Office - Methodological guide
PROŠEK, Václav
This dissertation deals with processes how to work with applications of office package by Microsoft Office from the ambience of NET Framework through the programming language Visual Basic.NET. These processes are used to develop the application for calibration of balance. The result of this application is a calibration sheet as a document of Microsoft Word text editor and a workbook of spreadsheet Microsoft Excel comparing calculations in the application with formulas of spreadsheet Excel.
Education of basic programming in Scratch environment
KREJSA, Jan
The work deals with programming education on primary schools in Scratch programme. Investigation was carried out by questionnaire on primary school in theoretic part. The investigation shows the facts relating to teaching programming. Scratch is compared with Baltík and Imagine Logo, which are the most commonly used on primary schools. The work also includes an analysis of teaching materials that are available for teaching Scratch. Results of the analysis of teaching materials are shown in a graph. Procedure of teaching was made on the basis of this analysis. The procedure of teaching is divided into twelve subjects. Pupil sheet and guideline for teacher is created for each subject.
Controlling CNC machine tools with focus on three-axis milling - triaxial milling machine EMCO and its control systems
TETOUR, Milan
The first section of this thesis describes the problem of programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines and the way how they are currently used in industry. The next section compares current control systems of the CNC machines, the general principles of programming with the possibility of using workroom oriented milling. Then the EMCO machine is described, its operation, setup, practical advices and also examples of the Sinumerik 840D control system by Siemens. The final section introduces a practical demonstration of machining by using the NC program for milling a representative component on the machine metioned above.
Computations on Graphics Cards
SVOBODA, Aleš
Purpose of this work is to show possibility of using graphics card not just for 3d graphics but also for computations which were for a long time just a domain of CPU. In the first part we are looking at what graphics card is as well as APIs used for their programming. Second part shows us OpenCL API on an example. Last part is measurement of performance between CPU and GPU.
Procedures and methods in CAM systems with a focus on the SprutCAM and control code Sinumeric
KREJNÍK, Radek
In the opening part of this work, there are done the basic principals of the CAM systems, fitting of their using in practice and mutual comparison of these systems. Further, there is done using of the CAM system StrutCAM, acquaintance with its service, adjusting, practical advices and samples of the controlling of the Sinumeric systém of Siemens. Conclusion of this work creates the summary of knowledge of practice and experience of the CAM systém which is used in three-axle milling cutter and two-axle lathe.
Design and implementation of modules for teaching and developing applications with microcontroller Atmel AVR
LANGMAJER, Miroslav
This thesis is based on the design and production of teaching kits with expansion modules which are based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller. Kit consists of a plate containing processes and basic power modules directly on the board and expansion modules "SIMAČ". "SIMAČ" modules are virtual elements that simulate the real elements and they are commonly used in industrial automation. Because of their cost they are integrated in extension kit as programmable modules. It also contains basic theoretical information about working with ATMEL AVR microcontrollers. Expansion modules with module development board and disc which will be loaded all the schemes, programs and technical documentation for individual districts will be attached to the thesis.
Ruby ecosystem with special interest in testing and using DSL
Cichra, Michal ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Oraný, Vladimír (referee)
The work presents modern and dynamic ecosystem of the Ruby programming language, focusing on the possibilities of extending it by the distribution of custom applications, looking at their testing options and use of DSL for building applications. It also describes how to install Ruby on multiple important operating systems and solution to the problems which the user may encounter. It also aims to walkthrough the reader though application development from start to finish and raise attention to systems and platforms where Ruby can be used. First introduces readers with the Ruby ecosystem in the form of periodicals, organizations and places where people are dealing with Ruby meet, discuss and solve problems. After explaining how to install Ruby on Linux, Windows, OS X and BSD it discusses the basic building blocks such of Ruby extensibility as packaging system and important libraries. At the end it describes tools for testing applications and illustrates explained concepts in the examples. In the last it maps latest and soon future development of Ruby as a platform. The practical outcome of work is a framework for the development of text games using internal DSL and application that demonstrates the possibilities of its use. Also included is a program that uses existing libraries and demonstrates a commandline applications.
