In the context of contamporary Czech science scene is nowadays possible to find several persons, whose activity is exceeding area of exact research. Projects realized by those people are in discours targed by primary focus of the field of their study, however by its quality often tend to interdiciplinar space. One of the main aspects which is possible to find in this kind of work is significant accent of aesthetic viewing of that problematic. Almost obsessive tension of this interdisciplinary thinking is present in work of botanic Jan Albert Šturma, whose science and artistic research is focused on expansive plants in European context. His activities are full of formal similarities with Czech underground scene of 60s and 70s, mostly happenings around bands The Primitives Group, Plastic People of the Universe and Dg. 307. Yet realized land art installations are typical by their intuitive unchained atmosphere and inclination to pseudosacral theme. This work aims to chart selected projects of Albert Šturma in the way of creative research and with use of participating observation method document the actual ones.
Time management for Czech film producers
Homolová, Anika ; KOPECKÝ, Čestmír (advisor) ; MORAVEC, Václav (referee)
In my thesis I focused on time management issues connected to the workflow of independent Czech film producers. I was interested in specific ways producers’ job defines their time management and which methods can be used to help them in keeping their time under control. I have approached four Czech producers with related questions, analyzing the topic in a form of an interview. Based on their personal experiences I was able to create several models of efficient time management which can prove useful to other producers. I based my research on quality not quantity and because of that some of my results may seem subjective. That said I am convinced it was worthwhile to delve into this topic and use the experiences of production personas of Czech film scene as a base for my research and possible help for others.

Girl's talk
Pecháčková, Marika ; RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Alice (advisor) ; Felcman, Jakub (referee)
Via interviews with five female students and one female teacher at the Documentary Film Deapartment at FAMU, this thesis seeks to define if not an exact, specific form, then a marked out area of today's female identity. In the dialogue with these women, the question how do they use their femininity in their work is asked. Which areas are opened thanks to their gender and in which way is their contemporary thinking about womanhood different (and shifted) in comparison to the previous generations of the feminist discourse? To what extent do the old models of perception of women persist and even parasitize within them, and how do they find their liberating escapes? The thesis represents an instrumental specimen taken from a limited time and space i.e. the Documentary Film Department at FAMU during the last decade (2007-2017). This work is also part for the general search of role of women here and now.

Animated documentary film is relatively a new genre, which is presently growing and becoming more popular. Simple definition of this genre is animated film with standard elements taken from documentary films. There is true confession, emotional strength, and unlimited borders, which animation provides. This growing sub-genre of animated film is asking existential questions. How does this kind of animated documentary film usually look? Almost everytime it is a topic of the stories from the real world, for example: topics of human rights, topics exceptional but also universal, which can be very easy to identify. This thesis is specifically focuses on the topic of personal confessions, that tell their own story. I also had to deal with this topic when I was doing my bachelor animated documentary film and at the end of it I summarize it with my personal evaluation and experiences.
