Analysis of savings accounts for individuals in the CR

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the assessment options of available funds using more conservative instruments of the financial sector. They are mainly the savings accounts and the term deposits. In the first part, the status and the role of the banks and credit unions in the financial sector will be determined, including offered products and services. The following part then analyzes various products in terms of real return, the fees, other costs and additional services in detail. In the end, it was found that under current conditions it is possible for an increased acceptance of the risk to get the highest evaluation with Metropolitan credit union's savings account.

Impacts of mortgage crisis in the banking sector USA and EU

My work focuses on impacts of mortgage crisis in the banking sector, in particular, the USA and the EU after the collapse of the bank Lehman Brothers. The first chapter focuses on the general causes of the crisis. The second chapter focuses on the risks that are associated with the banking business. The second part of my work deals with individual the falls of the banks and financial assistance of the individual governments to the banking industry. The last chapter of my work evaluates impact on the Czech banking sector.

Analysis of the development of the Cypriot banks in years 2010–2016

This master thesis is based on analyses of the Cypriot banking sector from 2010 to 2016. The aim is to describe the effects of the recent financial crisis in Cyprus to locally operating banks, to assess the assistance provided to Cypriot banks and especially to analyze the development of systemically important Cypriot banking institutions, namely the Bank of Cyprus Group, Cooperative Central Bank, Hellenic Bank and RCB Bank Ltd with emphasis on the most important banking institution in Cyprus. The work draws mainly from published financial results of the systemic banks and from the Central Bank of Cyprus representing the consolidated banking sector. Furthermore, for the purpose of this study was used the Eurostat database, EBA and the IMF periodicals, along with the websites of the credit rating agencies.

Glacial hydrological regime, case study of lake Adygene (Tien - Shan, Kyrgyzstan)

This thesis is concerned with detailed analysis of glacial hydrological regime and its influencing factors. Knowledges published in the domestic and foreign scientific literature were applied on data acquired in the area of Adygine Lake (Tien - Shan, Kyrgyzstan). The lake is a part of a lake system recently developed in the surroundings of a retreating glacier. There is a potential risk of dam failure in terms of its stability. Lake level fluctuations depending upon climatic conditions, melt water inflow and capacity of subsurface outflow channels were observed. La bodega by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez in two Czech translations

The name of the Spanish prose-writer Vicente Blasco Ibáez was well known in the Czechoslovakia of the 1920s. Between 1919 and 1931 twenty of his works were published in the country, out of which sixteen were translated by Karel Vít-Veith. At that time Ibáez was a popular author in other European countries as well as in the United States where his works achieved a great success. He lived and wrote in the same period as the Spanish "Generation of 1898". Nevertheless, both his thought and his literary method differed a lot from the Generation. His late work did not reach the quality of his early prose and is considered to be effete. Our thesis focuses on the Ibáez's novel called La bodega and its two translations into Czech. La bodega was first published in 1905 and belongs to the cycle of social novels written by Ibáez between 1903 and 1905. At that time the writer's critical stances towards Spanish society, monarchy and the church were most apparent in his works. The novel was translated into Czech twice; first time by Karel Vít-Veith in 1927, second time by Václav Cibula in 1956. Financial analysis of Spanish companies

This thesis focuses on the financial analysis of selected industrial sectors in the Spanish economy. For the purposes of analysis the following indicators are used: return on assets, return on equity, inventory turnover, receivables and payables turnover ratios and trade gap derived from them. Then indicators of current ratio, acid test ratio, cash ratio and working capital are analyzed. Finally the thesis includes indicators of creditor's risk, interest coverage and total cost and expenses per revenues. A further part of the thesis is dedicated to the peculiarities of the Spanish economy and the studies of changes in the unemployment rate and gross domestic product. A significant part is devoted to particular sectors of economy. Spanish exports and imports are presented by means of the balance of payments. After interpretation of all calculated indicators the following conclusion has expressed: the best performing sectors are the manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel followed by sector of construction. On the other hand traditional Spanish fishing, fish farming and related service activities were found to be the worst performing sectors.

The mortgage market in the Czech Republic and in the world: a possitive or negative decision

Final thesis is concerned on explanation of mortgage market concept in the Czech Republic, in the United States of America and Japan. First part is focused on characterization of mortgage market in general. The second part sets reasons for selection of states and describes theirs brief demographic, geographic, historic and cultural characteristics. Second part is divided into a three smaller sections, which represents analyze of mortgage market in each country. Although the attention is paid on the mortgage market crisis which was born in The United States, we can not forget the interconnection of a world finance sector and be aware of a speed of expansion and potential risk for other world economies.

Adopting the Euro in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis was to analyze, if the Czech Republic is ready to adopt the Euro and to evaluate benefits and risks of this step. The analysis is comlemented by evaluation of Maastricht criteria, and there is a short view of their fulfilling in the future. The problem of real convergence is discussed in the following chapter. I paid attention to business cycle synchronization in selected countries, to the situation on the Czech labour market and the fiscal policy. Both of them could play the important role after transition to commom monetary policy as other adjustable mechanisms. These mechanisms would help to absorb asymetric shocks our economy after joining eurozone. Finally I explain the dilemma of exchange rate mechanism ERM II and I mention the impact of global crisis on decision on adopting Euro in the Czech Republic.

Vladimír Lébl's Inheritance in the Czech Museum of Music

The first part of the diploma thesis deals with the estate of the musicologist Vladimír Lébl kept at the Czech Museum of Music and other extant writings of the author found outside of this institution. The objective then is to shed light on Lébl's (till this time unexplored) materials located in Prague's collections related to his musicological activity. The second part of the thesis contains analyses of Lébl's texts concerning the New Music published in Literární noviny journal and presented in 1985-1986 as a cycle of lectures under the name Musica nova at the Divadlo hudby theatre. The final part of the thesis presents a catalogue of Lébl's estate in the Czech Museum of Music provided with a detailed description of individual sources.

Economic development of the Russian Federation under Putin's governance

The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze the economic development in the Russian Federation from the year 2000 to the present, establish the causes and effects as well as the influence of Vladimir Putin on this process. The first chapter summarizes the fundamental macroeconomic indicators like GDP, unemployment, inflation and the development of the various sectors. The second chapter revolves around the Russian international trade and foreign direct investment. The third chapter elaborates on the possible risks and opportunities present in the Russian market. The last chapter analyzes the discussions around Russia entering the WTO, the unresolved questions before the membership and the possible future development as a member.
