Comprehensive evaluation of selected techniques in improving operations with cattle and evaluate their economic impacts.
NEUŽILOVÁ, Anna
This thesis is concerned with improving techniques in cattle breeding. Purpose of improving techniques to farm animals is to protect the environment, particularly by minimizing waste and friendly treatment to them, further reducing the required energy and water. The work is carried out to assess whether the existing technology on the farm meet the best available techniques. The work is an economic assessment of costs of removal and incorporation of excrement of animals.

PRŮŠA, Radek
This paper analyzes the negative impact of transport on the environment and possibilities of their elimination or reduction.
Charging for road transport in London
Koscelník, Štefan ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Kiovsky, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate the project of road charging in London. The theoretical part deals the issue of transport in urban conditions, its basic types, problems and possible approaches to tackling it. It also includes a description of the electronic toll systems as tools used to manage traffic in the city. The practical part deals with the use of video detection technology for road charging in London. It includes the preparation and implementation of the project, its basic principles of operation and adjustments made during the period of its operation. Followed by evaluation of the project in terms of impact on traffic, business and air quality in London. At the end of the work there are some recommendations for possible implementation of a similar charging system in terms of the city of Prague.
How long would it have to an old Skoda car to drive, that produced as many emissions as produced the production of new environmental car
Jurečková, Šárka ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor)
This thesis covers primarily the detection of operating emission of an old Škoda Felicia car and the emission produced during the manufacturing of a new Toyota Prius, as the selected representative of an ecological car. The thesis also touches on hybrid technology in itself, the question of the greenness of hybrid cars, sphere of emission, but also related problems so called "scrapping" and its influence on environment and also current situation in automobile industry. The target of this study is calculation of operation time of an old Škoda Felicia during which the CO2 emission will reach the same amount of emission produced during manufacturing of a Toyota Prius. The objective is to point out incompetent and therefore not always serious comparison of cars greenness when only the operating CO2 is being compared. Other energy consumption and therefore also the greenhouse gases production is related with the car manufacturing, raw material extraction, petroleum processing and other economic sectors affected by production. Emission laboratory measurement executed by TÜV SÜD Czech discovered that the old Škoda produces 260m/km CO2 during its real running time. For the emission calculation was used an American model EIO-LCA created by Green Design Institute at Carnegie Mellon University that records ecological influence of car production, in stated amount, on all economy sectors. The outputs are quoted in CO2 equivalent. According to this model during manufacturing of 1 hybrid car 13.5 t of CO2e (equivalent CO2). is produced. Recalculation found out that the old Škoda Felicia could run for more than 5 years in order to produce as much emission as the manufacturing of new Toyota Prius third generation.
Analysis of environmental subsidy and its environmental impact
Alferiová, Diana ; Hadrabová, Alena (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
Efficiency of subsidies which aim at improving of environment quality in Czech Republic we evaluate through the use of regressive analysis and we pursue dependence between environmental protection government expenditures in Euro per capita and % of GDP in years 1996 -- 2008 and total greenhouse gas emissions of selected countries of EU in years 1998 -- 2008. The results show us that expenditures of GDP are better index for efficiency evaluation of subsidies, which confirms the importance of economic performance, though I supposed that expenditures in Euro per capita have more significant part.
The IATA's Position and Impact on the Development of Aviation
Ďuraňa, Tomáš ; Vaško, Martin (advisor) ; Herget, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis briefly defines air transport within the transport sector. It focuses on institutions dealing with development and support of aviation at the international level, especially the organization of IATA. The thesis characterizes its position and describes the impact of its actions and measures in the aviation industry.
The linkage between denitrification activity, N gas emissions, and the size of the denitrifier community in pasture soils
ČUHEL, Jiří
The linkage between denitrification activity, N gas emissions, and the size of the denitrifier community in soils of an upland pasture was investigated. Special emphasis was placed on soil pH as a regulating factor, the spatial distribution of denitrification, and the degree of cattle impact. The thesis has been based on field and laboratory measurements using both conventional and modern methods of soil ecology.
Externalities in the selected industries and their solution
KLOUD, Petr
The main aim of the work was to define externalities in a selected sector (transport) and to propose options to address them. The operational objectives of this work are to evaluate the effectiveness of existing measures and to propose solutions to externalities.
The Bonds and Mortgage Loans Market
PAULUS, Jan
This thesis deals with the problem of banks in connection with mortgage loans and mortgage bonds. Its main aim is the research and analysis ot the market with mortgage bonds and mortgage loans in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The work also takes into concern the so discussed integration of European mortgage markets. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first two chapters are theoretical and are focused on the legislature and the feature of bonds and mortgage bonds. One of the components is the problem of mortgage banks and mortgage loans. The practical section is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is focused on the position of mortgage banks in the Czech and Slovak Republics in the framework of the bank´s sector in the given country. The banks are evaluated on the basis of economic criteria including balance sheets, net profit, initial capital, capital feasibility, number of branches and number of employees. The final part of this section is the evaluation and comprison of the Czech and Slovak bank sectors and their comparison with the European Union. The second chapter deals with entities conducting in the field of mortgage banking and the evaluation of their position in the framework of the Czech and Slovak Republic. The third chapter evaluates the present state and predicts further developments of the bank market in the area of mortgage bonds and mortgage loans. The problem of the integration of mortgage markets in the European Union is included.
Comparison of fuels for internal combustion engines in terms of exhaust emissions.
VÁCLAVÍK, Petr
Bachelor study compare three chosen types of petrol (BA Special 91, BA Natural 95, Shell V-Power Racing) and LPG, in light of exhaust emission. Measurement has been done on Škoda Favorit 135L engine. There has been measured exhaust elements CO,CO2,O2 a HC. As a result, there was most acceptable LPG fuel.
