Offshoring to CEE
Sobotková, Magda ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
The Master Thesis deals with offshoring and its logistic requirements. The first part of thesis characterizes terms as outsourcing, offshoring and offshore outsourcing. The main reasons for foreign production are seeking of resources (typically low cost labour) and expansion into new markets. Benefits and risks of offshoring are analyzed in the thesis, as well as criteria for selection of suitable host destination. Often overlooked impacts of globalization on integrated supply chain are also considered in this thesis. Central and Eastern Europe is one of important offshoring regions. CEE offers relatively cheap and qualified labour. However, its main benefit is its small geographical distance from Western Europe. The costs of servicing markets at Western Europe from CEE are much lower compared to servicing these markets from Asia.

Analysis of infuence of given factors on the price of black coal
Švec, Daniel ; Zajíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the relationship of the price of thermal coal and chosen variables on the European market. It describes principles of business with coal on both local and international basis and summarizes pricing of thermal coal. It examines the connection of the price of thermal coal with the price of its closest substitutes. Using regression analysis it determines variables that have the biggest impact on the price. It is shown, that in the long run, the price of thermal coal follows the pattern of its substitutes, energy commodities. With an increase of natural gas price by one dollar, the price of thermal coal increases by 0,275 dollars. An increase of crude oil price by one dollar increases the price of coal by 0,155 dollars. The most significant impact on the price has variable representing the transport costs required to transport coal. With an increase of one dollar of transport costs, the price of thermal coal on European market increases by 1,279 dollars.

The usage of the nutritional problem in real life
Salačová, Naďa ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Machovec, Bohumír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is about the usage of nutritional problem in real life, specifically about creating nutritional plan for professional athletes - basketball players. The main focus is to minimize the costs of the menu for one or five days, in which they will comply with all the nutritional requirements while respecting the exact calories intake (the amount of fat, sugar and protein). We will create four different menus - two for men and two for women. Each one has different requirements for the intake of those nutrients. Another goal for this research is to implement those menus into daily life of those athletes. They can be adjusted depending on the actual needs of each athlete. The perfect solution for all four menu choices can be found with software called LINGO.

Analysis of the cereal food products using mathematical modelling
Grygárková, Eva ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Škulavíková, Štěpánka (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with nutritional values of cereal food products from three companies (Nestlé, Bona Vita and Emco). In the first part of the thesis linear programming models are described. The next chapter deals with the characteristics of the real situation in which Guideline Daily Amounts and nutritional values of specific cereal food products are set, and economic and mathematical model is formulated. The last part is devoted to numerical experiments. At first, the models are solved in MS Excel 2007 and then some of them are analysed in LINGO modelling system. The main aim of the thesis is to determine whether cereal food products are healthy and nutritious in terms of their nutritional values. The proposed models determine the individual portions of cereal food products consumed per day using the minimum costs that are spent for the purchase of the products.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of selected investments, including the selection of the optimal method of financing
VAŠMUCIUSOVÁ, Eva
The goal of this thesis was to evaluate efficiency of selected investment and to identify adequate form of financing in regards to ensuring stability of company and minimization of cost. The company owned an old building and decided to rebuild it into a hall for breading broilers. While drafting this thesis, a subsidy was applied for; however it has not been determined yet whether or not it would be granted. Based on that, investment efficiency was evaluated for both scenarios. Company's 2012 financial accounts were used as input data. Net present value was used to calculate the investment efficiency. Two scenarios were considered: capital expenditure excluding the subsidy, and capital expenditure with subsidy granted. Based on the results, it has been determined that both investment scenarios are worth a realization. Next part was a risk analysis, where based on analysis of sensitivity the death rate was increased by one percentage point. It was followed by break-even point, which is the point at which the investment would not be worth it. The result showed that the project carries no risk. The only risk factor here is broiler death rate, which should fluctuate around 6%.

There are strong streams of passengers. After completion of the railway corridor the route will offer extension of activities onto the Austrian market. The paper analyses the competitive environment. The main competitors are RegioJet and LEO Express. The operator can compete using low-cost concept, especially EMU trains. High quality of offered services will also play an important role. Leasing was identified as the most convenient financial instrument. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are summarized in the SWOT analysis.

The Model of Interest-free Monetary System
HAWI, André
Over the ages, religions varied in their beliefs and teachings, but one of the aspects which most of them shared is the antipathy towards charging interest. Many models and methods that effectively achieve their purpose without relying on interest had been developed and resulted in success. Some of these models were hindered and eventually banned by local authorities, others survive to this day, such as JAK members' bank and the Islamic monetary system. When comparing a loan from an interest-free bank to a loan in a conventional bank the result was a little misleading since the monthly installments in the interest-free bank studied were higher. However when the loan costs of both kinds of banks were compared the interest free bank turned out to be much cheaper. The results and analysis made in this thesis can be further analyzed in the sense of depth, collection of data, and experiments.
