Schindler, I. ; Navrátil, Jiří ; Takagi, S.
Possibillities of improving of mechanical properties of thermoelectrical material by forming were studied and discoussed.
Microstructure and phase composition of rapidly solidified Al-Ni-Zr alloys
Verner, J. ; Vojtěch, D. ; Bártová, Barbora ; Gemperle, Antonín ; Studnička, Václav
Aluminium alloys with transition elements prepared by rapid qienchinf methods have tendencies to form nanocrystalline and amorphous structures. These alloys high tensile strength and good stability at higher temperature. Microstructure, phase composition and changes at elevated temperature of AlNi 18.5 and AlNi 17 Zr 1.8 alloys have been investigated in our experimental study.
Členství žen v předních vědeckých společnostech ve 20. století [v českých zemích]
Barvíková, Hana ; Martinovský, Martin
During the whole 20th century there were 5 or 6 central scholar institutions in the Czech lands. Their members were elected, and the membership represented the highest acknowledgment of research abilities and importance of the person for her/his discipline. Women were, however, elected only very rarely; only four local scholars (and two foreign) became members in the first half of the century, followed by eleven ones in the second part. The article maps possibilities and conditions of the elections influenced obviously above all by the very beginnings of women scholars, pioneers in the world of science and humanities in the first fifty years, by the totalitarian regime and by the existence of the unique, really centralized institution from 1950s. Small portraits of all women and circumstances of their elections together with the description of the situation regarding women in research in the end of the 20th and in beginning of the 21th century are included.
Studium metabolismu v rostlinách a jejich praktická aplikace při dekontaminaci životního prostředí
Nepovím, Aleš ; Podlipná, Radka ; Zeman, S. ; Jalový, Z. ; Gerth, A. ; Vaněk, Tomáš
A study of metabolism of TNT in plants was focused on degradation of 4-amino-2,6-dinitrotoluene (4-ADNT). Two plant species Senecio jacobea and Buphthalmum salicifolium cultivated under in vitro conditions in the presence of different concentration of 4-ADNT for 3 weeks
Some Aspects of Matrix Converter System Realization
Lettl, Jiří ; Flígl, S.
Matrix converters, initially called direct frequency changers in general only, have attracted an amount of interest over the past twenty-five years already, but with the rapid progress in the semiconductor devices and control circuits they find once again new utilisation. The presented paper deals with the recent concept of hybrid and power splitting traction drive systems.
Noise, Vibration and Electromagnetic eFFects Generated by Semiconductor Converters in Traction Vehicles
Budek, P. ; Chmelíček, M. ; Jehlička, Vladimír
New problems emerge in the vehicles of city mass transportation due to application of new power switching devices and their control circuitry. Measurements were performed in a low-floor trolleybus ŠKODA 21Tr equipped with power converters based on GTOs and IGBTs. They were aimed at finding the sources of noise and vibrations in the passenger space, at verifying their influence and finding methods for their limitation. Similarly, The same attention was paid to the problems of electromagnetic interference.
Control Strategy of Parallel Hybrid Filter for Harmonic Mitigation
Škramlík, Jiří ; Valouch, Viktor
The strategy features a small sensitivity against a disturbed supply voltage system and enables us to set grid phase currents in the phase with respective voltages. The expected properties of the PHF control system have been confirmed by experimental tests in the laboratory. The data show that the modified control strategy yields better results than those obtained by using control systems reported previously, especially in case of an unsymmetrical and non-sinusoidal voltage system and the demand of zero reactive power withdrawn from the grid.
Short-Circuit Protection of IGCT Voltage Source Inverters through the Use of Semiconductor Fuses
Bartoš, Stanislav ; Semerád, Radko ; Škramlík, Jiří
The power switching devices IGCT exhibit high values of the parameter I2t. This property enables their short-circuit protection by the so called semiconductor fuses. For both the thyristors and the rapid semiconductor fuses, the parameter I2t is usually defined for a half-sine current wave with the duration of 10 ms. However, in the dc feeding line of an inverter, the short-circuit waveforms are strongly different, and the best way to find the proper fuse for protection is to employ appropriate computer software.
The natural fish reproduction of lowland stretches of Morava and Dyje rivers
Valová, Z. ; Jurajda, Pavel
Lowland rivers decreased their habitat diversity and get an uniform character due to their regulation and channelisation. This modifications affected the natural fish reproduction. The efficiency of natural fish reproduction was studied using Point Abundance Sampling strategy by electrofishing in three differently modified stretches of two adjacent lowland rivers in the late summer of 1999-2003.
