HROBAŘOVÁ, Petra
My work deals with child sexual abuse problems. My theoretical part concentrates on explanations of key words connecting with child abuse and its legal definition, forms of sexual abuse and then on prevention of this phenomenon and victimology. The second part devotes to the perpetrator and the victim, together with child abuse symptoms, child sexual abuse accomodation symptons and posttraumatic stress disorder. The practical part contains two casuistries/case reports. The first one is concentrated on intrafamily child sexual abuse and the second one on the posttraumatic stress disorder. The common signs of theory and practice are defined at the end of both of the case reports.
POSTCRISIS INTERVENTIONAL TREATMENT IN SITUATIONS OF THREAT AT THE POLICE OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
SAIDA, František
Post-crisis intervention care in situations of danger in the Police of the Czech Republic. The topic of this diploma thesis consists in taking a deeper view into post-crisis intervention care in the Czech Police. The primary goal of the diploma thesis is to verify whether in the Czech Police a functional system of post-crisis intervention care is created that policemen or also their families can use if necessary. Further, we were interested whether there are opinions, attitudes and prejudice among policemen concerning the use of post-crisis intervention care. Therefore, in the theoretical part the diploma thesis deals with basic psychological terms that are closely related to the field of post-traumatic care in the Czech Police and summarizes issues of psychological care in the Czech Police. The entire object of the research is mapping the current situation of providing post-crisis care to policemen, the degree of awareness of this service, attitudes of policemen to using this service and last, but not least, purposefulness and efficiency of this service. An integral part of the goal of the work was an analysis of factors that facilitate or complicate the process of providing post-crisis care and suggestion of possible measures to make its functioning more efficient as well as finding main causes of insufficient utilisation of post-crisis intervention care by policemen. In compliance with the goal of the thesis a quantitative survey was carried out and the most suitable methods were used in such a way that the specified goal could be achieved in the most efficient way. The results of the survey carried out by us have confirmed that in the Czech Police a functioning system of post-crisis intervention care is created that policemen can use if necessary. The survey has also indicated that policemen are sufficiently informed about the system of post-crisis intervention care and that this system corresponds to the needs of police practice. However, the survey has also revealed that negative opinions, attitudes and prejudice concerning the psychological service of the Czech Police persist in policemen's minds. Reducing these negative tendencies would certainly contribute to more efficient utilisation of this service.
Psychosocial counselling for the participants of traffic accidents in České Budějovice
UHŘÍČEK, Jan
This dissertation focuses on the field of psychosocial counselling intended for the people involved in traffic accidents. Traffic accidents often result in considerable whole-society damages and significant reduction in the life quality of affected individuals or their relatives. Traffic accidents may often represent nerve-racking, traumatic events which significantly go beyond the scope of common human experience. People involved in traffic accidents may suffer from mental problems which might impair an area of their social functioning. As a result, traffic accidents have significant impact not only to the lives of persons directly involved, but also to their relatives. Victims´ self-help may fail and, without the expert intervention, may lead to the whole-life misery. One of possible ways of how to help the people involved in the traffic accident is the psychosocial counselling which is the subject of this dissertation. This thesis, among others, aims to analyse the offer of psychosocial consulting services intended for traffic accident participants in the town of České Budějovice. To this end, the combination of qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, questionnaire survey of experts and organizations and semi-standardized interviews with experts operating in České Budějovice were carried out. Other goals of the thesis included mapping of public awareness concerning the possible utilization of psychosocial counselling for traffic accident participants in České Budějovice, as well as, mapping the interest in using such services on the public{\crq}s part in this town. A public questionnaire survey was performed to reach these objectives. The findings revealed that there is a public demand for services of an organization providing the people involved in traffic accidents with psychosocial counselling. The public awareness of the possibility of using psychosocial counselling in this area, however, proved to be low in České Budějovice. The survey has also shown that the offer of psychosocial counselling focused on traffic accident participants does exist in this town. The dissertation may contribute to higher awareness of not only the professional employees who provide the assistance (psychologists, social workers, non-profit organization employees, physicians, police officers, fire fighters), students of humanities and volunteers involved in giving psychosocial assistance to the victims of disasters, but also of those people involved in traffic accidents whom anyone of us may become.

Analysis of methods of the posttraumatic crisis intervention
HLUŠKO, Oldřich
In my thesis, I postulated the target to map the methods and procedures applied by the CR Police, Regional Police Headquarters of the South-Bohemian Region within the primary, secondary as well as tertiary prevention of posttraumatic reactions and disorder. A partial target of the thesis is finding out the rate of the satisfaction with availability of intervention care for policemen and employees of the Regional Police Headquarters of the South-Bohemian Region, finding out the rate of the awareness, usability and satisfaction with the care of the posttraumatic intervention team in the South-Bohemian Region, awareness of the service Help Line in crisis and its usability. Moreover I postulated the goal to map the interest in the possible internet helpline in the scope of IZS with elaboration of SWOD analysis. Everybody, also policemen may suffer from stress reaction. Also they can have the psychical and physical signs of an acute stress reaction. They perform the most of service acts, interventions in a routine way, however, besides this, also situations occur, differing from the normal life experience and policemen get in this way very often into the stress situations, which can arouse deep mental turbulences. The impact of feelings on the mental state in case of extreme experiences is a normal human reaction in a not normal situation. At present, each policeman has the possibility to ask for help a team of specially trained experts, the team of posttraumatic intervention care. In the team, not only psychologists are working, but also experienced policemen, experts of the branch of the Ministry of Interior and the priests prepared to help with their experience, erudition and knowledge acquired by a special training. Since 2001 the impacted person may call the anonymous Crisis Help Line, which is a supporting part of the posttraumatic intervention care for the policemen, firemen, employees of the branch of the Ministry of Interior and their family members. The crisis help line is also at disposal to the public in case of extraordinary events and crisis situations. For this reason, this thesis treats the methods of posttraumatic intervention care, awareness, usability, satisfaction and trust in these branch offices of the CR Police.
Psychosomatics overload exposures in casual realationship with extraordinary events experiences.
KREJČOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with the effects of traumatic experience from extraordinary events on psychosomatic manifestations in members of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). Psychosomatic manifestations are caused by interactions between the soul and the body, i.e. effects of the physical condition on the mental condition and vice versa. The effects are also interconnected with the social environment of the afflicted person. It is therefore necessary to take care of all the so-called biopsychosocial human needs. The theoretical part describes psychosomatics as a discipline. It deals with the symptoms, general psychotherapy and historical development of psychosomatics. Further, it discusses the possibility of crisis intervention and specific risks of activities performed by the individual IRS components. The practical part of the thesis monitored the effects of traumatic experiences on members of the Fire Rescue Service corps, Medical Emergency Service and Police of the Czech Republic. The aim was to determine the gravity of this problem and to jointly find possible solutions. The results have shown show that there is a certain level of negative impact and therefore it is important to focus on preventive measures to avoid serious complications.
Fear and anxiety in connection with acute cases
ŠČERBOVÁ, Nikola
Fear and distress in relation to emergency situations. The purpose of this essay is to learn about position of health rescuers and patients in acute, life and health endangering situations. The objective of the work was to identify how patients feel in crisis and acute situations and what type of intervention is most effective. Method: the research included two sections. The first section was in the form of a pilot research based on qualitative method of non-standardized interview with limited number of patients and health rescuers. Results of this pilot research served as basis for selection of specific circumstances and issues related to fear and distress and questions were formulated for an extended research performed with larger group of respondents. The group of pilot research respondents included 5 health rescuers and 4 patients rescued by ambulance. The consequential extended research was conducted with 8 health rescuers and 8 patients rescued by ambulance. The research took place in South Bohemia and Karlovy Vary region. Results: rescuers are aware of the fact that fear and distress of patients are important factors affecting the overall condition of the patient. They would appreciate extensions of their professional training by special training focused on this subject, since most of them act only based on their own experience in such situation. Results of the research indicate that patients do not differ between terms fear and distress. Most of patients experience distress caused by something unknown rather than fear from specific danger or situation. In most cases patients consider psychological support and help provided by health rescuers to be positive.
