Study of High Strength Concrete with regard to current developments and applications in civil engineering
Vobinušková, Kristýna ; Sedlmajer, Martin (referee) ; Křížová, Klára (advisor)
In it’s theoretical part, Bachelor’s thesis describes basic features, historical and recent development and current knowledge in the area of high strength concretes – HSC. Moreover, individual materials suitable for this type of concrete and design and construction regularities are discussed. It provides several examples of already realized buildings of this kind in Czech republic. The experimental part covers production of HSC test bodies. Lastly, results of conducted experiments, such as compressive strength, resistance to chemical de-icing agents and water absorption are reported.
Quality of the recycled aggregates to the roads
Sokolová, Veronika ; Pecha, Karel (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
Theoretical part of the thesis describes the production, properties and characteristics of recycled aggregates and the resulting assessment of the suitability of its use in the construction of roads. The practical part is focused on implementing the basic tests of aggregates according to applicable standards, such as bulk density, water absorption and resistance to crushing of aggregates. Tests are performed on fractions of the three types of recycled aggregate and then compared with the same results of tests on natural aggregates.
Sintering ability of feldspars and their alternatives
Votava, Petr ; Štubňa,, Igor (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The main goal of this Bachelor’s thesis is to compare sintering ability of feldspars which are the most used flux in ceramics with their alternatives such as quarry dust and bone ash. Theoretic part describes process of sintering, sintering activities of used fluxes and their use in the manufacture of ceramics. Practical part is dedicated to description and evaluation of experiment in witch sintering activities of various fluxes ceramic product are compared in dependence on their percent proportion in raw material mix.
Recycled aggregate to pavement constructions of roads
Antošová, Klára ; Mondschein,, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with using of recycled aggregate of concrete for base layers of pavement. The work is divided into practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts of construction and demolition waste, production, development and management of this waste in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on the principle of recycling and the use of recycled concrete in the Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part of the thesis deals with laboratory testing and assessment of recycled aggregates in bound, unbound and grouted courses layers of the base layers of roads.
Recycled aggregates to asphalt mixtures of the flexible pavements
Kropáč, Pavel ; Zdřálek, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the theoretical part of the creation, distribution and recycling of construction and demolition waste. Subsequently covers made from these recycled construction and demolition waste and its potential application in structural layers of the pavement. In the practical part of the thesis deals with monitoring the overall properties of nine asphalt mixtures with different proportion of recycled concrete aggregate and asphalt binder, which are designed and intended for bed asphalt pavement. The recycled concrete aggregate and asphalt are performed various laboratory tests, the results are subjected to a comparison with the relevant standards and TP 210. The conclusion is made price comparisons of asphalt mixtures.
The Influence of Fines on Pore System of Concrete
Elfmarková, Veronika ; Smolka, Hynek (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Literature does not provide a satisfactory answer to maximum and minimum particle size or the particle size of the mortar phase especially for optimal porosity of concrete. To overcome the shortcomings of the design methods were thought to design a new method for design of concrete mix. This idea is based on a complex analysis of powder materials (determination of granular properties, shape factor of fillers, porosity, packing of powder materials, surface area, etc.) and subsequently to assess the influence to pore system of concrete and physical and mechanical properties in hardened state of concrete. In this work are presented and analyzed two types of fillers – fly ash and limestone dust.
Study of moisture conditions in the facade wall after application of the ETICS
Ševčíků, Robin ; Steuer,, Radek (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
In the last decades the application of ETICS (external thermal insulation composite system) became a popular measure to improve the energy performance and the weather resistance of facades in the building stock. However, hand in hand with that the problem of microorganisms such as algae and fungi on facades has substantially increased in re-cent years. One of the main reasons is the interaction of climate influences with modern compositions of thermal insulation systems resulting besides of large thermal and mois-ture loads in occurrences of green covers of algae on facade surfaces. The algae popula-tion on facades with ETICS is supported by the sufficient humidity, caused by the night temperature decrease of surface to the dew-point temperature and by consequent con-densation of vapour. The thermal radiation against clear night sky is responsible for the origin of this periodically repeated phenomenon. This bachelor’s thesis is concentrated to the description of available knowledge in this field and explains the phenomenons by means of principles of building physics. Moreover, at the end, in the practical part, there are presented the results of author’s own measurements concerning determination of basic properties of commonly used fa-cade materials (spectral emissivity, absorbing power), important with regard to the sub-ject of the thesis.
Possibilities of building of hydrophobized masonty structures in flood areas
Fabiánková, Aneta ; Stančík,, Hynek (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
The work describes development of hydrophobic flooting masonry for use in floodareas. The kontent of the bachelor thesis is realizing of a literaturere view in area of mapping masonry load during floods and solution of construction to prevent degradation and destruction. Also, to designe hydrophobizing products and construction technology to ensure tightness during floods. The work includes theoretical verification of functionality of hydrophobizing products and waterproof of wallsway to ensure the least possible absorption of construcion.
Study of possibilities of hydrofobization of masonry clay blocks for plinth walls
Jirásková, Iveta ; Horský, Antonín (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focused on the design method of hydrophobic cavity brick fittings for the construction of masonry structures, especially plinth masonry and other external structures subjected to elevated moisture. The scope of work is to undertake a literature review of hydrophobic products and methods for reducing absorption of masonry blocks. The work is also practical verification of the effectiveness of selected hydrofobics the brick fittings. The target is to find the optimal method of reducing the absorption of masonry elements, both in terms of the resulting utility properties and economic viewpoint.
Design and production of a plastic komponent
ČÍŽEK, Václav
The theoretical part is focused on evaluation of chosen ?essential? plastics used in the car industry. The principles of construction and proportioning of plastic components, basic conception of injection moulding and measuration follow. Another section of the theoretical part presents a summary of possible CAD systems, which are used. The practical part is focused on a particular plastic moulding. It includes the main description of a component with its material choice in dependence on the component function. Another section contains evaluation of the component complexity from the viewpoint of moulding, and a possible substitution of constructions, which could be productively simpler, is shown. The whole thesis is completed for better lucidity by pictures, drawings, and mechanical drawings.
