Statistical analysis of production

The aim of Master's thesis is to apply statistical methods in production process. The assignment of the thesis is to describe and evaluate pressing process which is the part of posistor production. The first theoretical part contains introduction to the mathematical statistics, verifying assumptions about the data, describing the regression analysis, the analysis of variance and the part of the design of experiment. The second practical part is focused on design, performing and interpreting of experiments. The thesis is developed according to requirements of company EPCOS s.r.o. Šumperk. Statistical program MINITAB Rlease 14, which is supported by company, was used for all computations.

Effectiveness of DOE

Diplomová práce se zabývá plánováním a analýzou experimentu. Je zde zkoumán vliv počtu centrálních bodů v plánu experimentu na nalezení významných faktorů procesu. Pro určení tohoto vlivu je použita metoda Monte Carlo, pomocí které hledáme míru nalezení významných faktorů procesu. Simulace experimentu je vytvořena v programu MATLAB, kde se především využívá Statistics toolbox pro generování náhodných čísel. V závěru je zhodnoceno a graficky ukázáno, jak je určení významnosti faktoru procesu závislé na počtu uvažovaných faktorů experimentu a na počtu měření v centrálním bodě.

Application of Management Control System in a Company

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate management control system in a company and pro-pose measures for better use of management control system as a subsystem of manage-ment of the company supporting the achievement of business objectives of the owners in the changing market environment. Thesis consists three main parts. The first theoretical part contains information about management control system. Analysis of the current state of management control system describes state of the management control system in a company and in the last section are suggestions for possible improvements of man-agement control system.

Comparison and relationships between selected demographic indicators in Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison and the relationships between selected demographic indicators for the Czech Republic. First part is concentrated on characteristic of basic demographic indicators, further on description of used analysis method and also on brief description of surveyed regions of Czech Republic. Second part, analytic one, focuses on examining specific demographic relationships, their mutual relations and comparison using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis (linear and multiple). These assays shown some very strong relationship (statistically significant dependences) between the demographic indicators, such as the numbers of divorces and the rate of unemployment, when unemployment significantly affects number of divorces.

Collection of solved tasks in statistics

The purpose of the bachelor thesis was to compose a collection of solved and non-solved statistical problems. The problems are related to chosen parametric (student's t-tests) and non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon's tests). Besides, it focuses on an analysis of simple sorting variance, Kruskal-Wallis test, Friedman test and on a tests taken inclusive the pivot tables.

The Results Processing of Students in the Course 6MI221 - Statistics for managers

The work is described and evaluated the results in the summer semester of academic year 2007/2008 the course "Statistics for Managers". Data that we have to use, was collected Department of Information Management in Jindřichův Hradec at the Faculty of Management, University of Economics Prague. There are applied methods of descriptive statistics and appropriate statistical tests. Based on the data we have analyzed the interdependence of individual variables. Finally, work is to evaluate the success depending on factors monitored and, where appropriate, identify the reasons for failure of students in that subject.

The Results Processing of Students in the Course 6MI211 - Data Analysis

The results of the students who have passed the course "Data Analysis - 6MI211" in the winter semestr of academic year 2007/2008 are described and evaluated in the bachelor thesis. Data was collected by Department of Information Management at the Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec, University of Economics Prague. There are applied methods of descriptive statistics and analysis of dependence individual variables. We used the statistic tests (chí-squared independence test, analysis of variance and one-way analysis of variance). We endevoured for evaluation of information and finding possible reasons for failure of the students in the course.

The structure of household expenditure with regard to their income situation

Presented thesis is focused on searching for differences and investigating dependences between costs and revenues of households, mainly the housing expenditure are emphasized. The data were extracted from survey made by Czech Statistics Office, especially from sample survey about revenues and living conditions of households called "Životní podmínky 2005". The data are analyzed by means of linear regression and analysis of variance. The above mentioned statistical methods are used to investigate the level of dependence between incomes and housing costs with regard to various factors e.g. size and type of municipality or the type of house in which the particular household is living. The obtained results display slightly growing dependence between incomes and revenues. Furthermore a small survey of the particular households was made on which the selected linear regression model (obtained by the analysis of ČSÚ data) was applied. The comparison of both surveys showed rather insignificant differences.
