Production of Special Spacer using WJM/AWJ
Novotný, Adam ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis on subject "Production of Special Spacer using WJM/AWJ" deals with the problem of progressive advanced technology, nonconventional water jet cutting, describes the process of cutting samples by AWJ technology in engineering company and discusses the effect of selected cutting program on quality of machined surface and dimensional accuracy. An attention is devoted to the substitutability of WJM/AWJ cutting methods and the possibility of combination with conventional technologies.
Surface changes based on FDM printing parameters
Čada, Jiří ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This thesis deals with a construction of modified RepRap 3D printer Rebel II which operates with Fused Deposition Modeling technology and selection of suitable criterion for printing. It mainly focuses on the temperature of the material being printed and speed of printing for three selected materials. Materials were selected based on availability in the market and their application. An experiment, focusing on surface changes of products as well as on the look of a fibre after passing through a nozzle, was performed.
Optimization of Machining Parameters Abradable Sprayed used in the Aerospace Industry
Krajkovič, Pavel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on machining of thermal spray coatings. Particularly on testing of machining parameters and their influence on different types of abradable coatings used in the aerospace industry. The aim of research work is to test the parameters, measure cutting forces by using a dynamometer and their impact on the quality of the machined surface. Determination of the optimal machining parameters for different types of coatings based on results of measurements and the evaluation of surface quality. There are also presented techniques of thermal spray application and methods of coating evaluation. Further it describes a method of measuring cutting forces by using the dynamometer and methods of surface quality evaluation.
A study on the grinding of ceramic materials
Kresa, Jakub ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on ceramics materials in terms of their partition, properties, structure, manufacture and methods of their possible machining. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the distribution of ceramics materials, their structure, properties, and methods of production. Currently, ceramics materials are increasingly used in structural (engineering) applications therefore we deal with methods of effective machining of ceramic materials, to achieve part of the required shape, dimensions and surface quality. The evaluation of ceramic grinding test from the point of view of cutting forces and surface quality of the machined faces are presented in the last part of the thesis. The tested materials have been provided by company SEEIF Ceramics a.s.
Abrasive Water Jet
Kopečný, Libor ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This dissertation thesis is focused on explaining the broad issue of the non-conventional machining by an abrasive water jet. Introductory chapters deal with various techniques and methods of water-jet cutting and analyze them. Then the following text provides us with a detailed description of the machine itself so that people can understand the way how this technology works. The third chapter is focused on the quality of the resulting surface and the possibility of affecting it by technological parameters. This part is connected with the practical part of my thesis, in which the resultant surfaces of various materials made by different cutting parameters were compared. Subsequent section outlines the development of this technology. The last chapter contains technical and economic evaluation.
Technology Plasma Beam Machining
Sedlák, Ondřej ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the unconventional method of metal separation, namely on the cutting technology based on the plasma arc. The introductory part deals with studies which focus on the given issue from a theoretical point of view. The core of the work rests in the practical part which is dedicated to the production of samples using a plasma burning machine called Hypertherm HPR 260. The burned samples are monitored and assessed for the surface quality and dimensional accuracy for every created part. The final part of the work is dedicated to the techno-economic assessment of the burned parts. In the end, the evaluation of the attained results is made.
Minimum Quantity Lubrication in Reaming
Grinding of Bearing Rings
Růžička, Daniel ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to evaluate the surface quality, machined on three different grinders (all three from different age), and to compare those grinders. Comparison is done by the achieved degree of precision of measured geometric tolerances in inner orbits of the outer bearing rings. As the best grinder is expressly marked the newest (type CNC) however, the second in a row (the second youngest) is very close to its quality and finally it is noted that the purchase and operation of this grinder is more convenient.
Production of handrail holder
Ryšavý, Jan ; Varjan, Matúš (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
Economic and technological analysis of possible methods of production real part. The basic theoretical knowledge of selected production methods and their application in practice. The division of production methods for various production series of part using economic evaluation.
Effect of Surface Quality in Viscometry of Aqueous Polymer Solutions
Večeř, M. ; Wein, Ondřej
The proposed paper is focused on experimental viscometric study of AWS effect of aqueous polymer solutions: 1.5% wt solution of Na salt of Carboxymethylcellulose, 0.4%wt of Welan Gum and 1% wt of Polyacrylamide was chosen as the tested liquids. Four viscometric sensors (type KK) with different quality of surface (Stainless steel, Titanium, Alloy of Aluminum and Magnesium, as well as Stainless steel with surface roughened by sandblasting) have been used. It is documented that the extent of AWS effect strongly depends both on the sensor material and type of solution.
