How a drogue ex-user see a period of his addiction
Hronková, Veronika ; Kubišová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Hauser, Michael (referee)
Subject: How a drogue ex-user see a period of his addiction. Abstract: The work focus on the actual situation of ex-users. These people were fighting with an addiction and now they are a part of the majority society. The qualitative research, inspired by a grounded theory, try to approach their point of view. What they think about their past and how do they see their relations with a family, friends and a vicinage. Not just in that period but nowadays as well. Relationships with home-folks are stigmatized by a degree of drug addiction. The smaller addiction the smaller losses. Once a drug user is falling down into the drug trap, the losses depend on how deep he will fall. On the bottom there are no friends, no family, just nothing. Some of the drug users do not fall to the bottom, they do their decision earlier. We call that decision a break point ( a moment when they decide to abstain). A break point comes individually and it is connected to an "interior border" of each person. Anyway, it is a moment, when an individual concerned decide to live a different way. It is a very intense moment and very fundamental for a abstinence success. We have used an interview to study not just this phenomenon. During the interview we tried to find out how a life looks with and without an addiction. Key words: addiction,...

Evaluation of the stability of osteosynthesis of mandibular ramus sagittal split osteotomy
Nieblerová, Jiřina ; Mazánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Dostálová, Taťjána (referee) ; Bulík, Oliver (referee)
Orthognatic surgery deals with congenital and acquired dentoalveolar or skeletal deformities of the face. An unfavourable downward rotation of a mandible and posterior vertical maxillary excess cause an anterior open bite, which is characterized by excessive anterior facial height in the lower third, a gap between the incisors in maximal occlusion and a large mandibular angle. Osteotomy (mainly Le Fort I osteotomy or bilateral sagittal split osteotomy of the mandibular ramus - BSSO), ostectomy or distraction osteogenesis are performed to correct the orthognatic deformities. Osteosynthetic materials based on titanium or bioresorbable materials are used in the form of miniplates with monocortical screws, or bicortical screws are utilized to fix the bony fragments. Stability of the new jaws position is the main criterion for success. Relapse causes a loss of occlusion and consequently functional and aesthetic disorders. Relapse consists of skeletal and dental factors. Skeletal relapse is usually divided into early and long-term relapse. BSSO with counter-clockwise (CCW) rotation of the occlusal plane alone was traditionally considered to be the least stable treatment method. Some authors suggest the use of two miniplates on each side of the osteotomy, but we have not found scientific proof of the...

Family psychoeducation and relapse prevention in psychotic disorders
Pleštilová, Lenka ; Bankovská Motlová, Lucie (advisor)
Relapse prevention is a primary long-term clinical goal in treatment of psychotic disorders. Pharmacotherapy by itself is not sufficient, because compliance of patients in remission is usually low and there are more factors contributing to relapse, especially stress of patients resulting from emotionally demanding situations in the family. PREDUKA (PREventive EDUcational programme for relapse prevention) is a six-hour professionally-led group programme for patients with psychotic disorders in ambulant therapy and for their relatives. In a field questionnaire survey we mapped 1) theoretical knowledge of participants, 2) usage of practical advice obtained from PREDUKA and 3) general benefit of programme. Participants from years 2007 - 2009 were included. The sample consisted of 14 patients and 22 relatives, 27 women and 11 men. The average age of patients was 28,6 years, that of relatives 44,4 years. High return of questionnaires from patients confirms their goodwill to cooperate. Knowledge of participants about psychosis and their therapy is very good, compliance of patients from our sample is high. Participants usually follow advice obtained from PREDUKA. Common is the ignorance of important phone numbers (crisis centre, attending psychiatrist), so we suggest to include a page in a workbook for these dates....
Case study the impact of alcohol dependence
MATOUŠKOVÁ, Zdeňka
The title of the thesis is The Case Study of Impact of Alcohol Addiction and it follows the series of life situations which occurred during a relatively short period of time in the case of a man who was abstaining for a long time. The subject of this thesis is a study of people with this disease who may be more susceptible to the pitfalls of life, and therefore cannot adequately respond to the crisis. The aim of this thesis was to find out whether an abstaining person could withstand the adversity and if not what field of human life was threatened. The main aim of the thesis was to outline the period shortly after being released from work. The introduction of the theoretical part deals with the definition of expressions such as alcohol addiction, theories and factors of addiction. Other part of the thesis deals with the consequence of long-term alcohol drinking and that both somatic, mental and also social which the long-term alcohol addiction brings. The conclusion of the theoretical part is supplemented with the interpretation of expressions such as a relapse or a recurrence and further it deals with issue of the failure to comply with abstinence together with the recommendation of possible ways how to refuse the alcohol. The empirical part of the thesis is processed by the method of quantitative research by means of questioning the method of narrative interview. The data was elaborated in the form of grounded theory method and afterwards it was evaluated by means of axial coding and all was divided into four time periods through which the client went and by which he was affected. The main research question was How can the change of job influence the mental and health conditions and what is the risk of relapse in the case of an abstaining person? Individual research questions were three. The first one related to observation of the change of managing of life situations during the period of the therapy and shortly after the therapy. The second question applies to the issue of managing of life situations which occurred within resocialization at work and the respondent found here a new way which means he found a new job and a residence outside his home within resocialization. The last research question solved managing of life situations after releasing from job when a client was unemployed for some time and the job which was recommended to him was financially undervalued. I found out by the carried out research that it is not possible to make conclusions how to manage crisis situations in the case of people with addicted behaviour. It is the individual matter of each person how he can withstand with life obstacles. The results of this thesis can be benefit for other clients with whom I will work while performing my job.
The Importance of Self-Help Groups in Relapse Prevention
DRÁBKOVÁ, Pavlína
This thesis deals with the self-help group anonymous alcoholics, in the context of after-treatment addiction care absolved treatment. For the practical part of my thesis I used quantitative research method of questioning technique questionnaire. Results showed that mutual self-help group provides emotional support and sharing experiences. Members of the group learning to solve the problems create here close friendly relations. It can be said that the self-help group is part of a social network addicted to alcohol. Members of the group take an appropriate after-care program, attend meetings regularly, coming to the meetings with positive emotions and their problems speaking. Members of self-help groups use the 12 steps and the work was to find out whether this model helps them in abstinence. The results showed that despite the use of this model is a violation of abstinence, ie relapse. The results of this thesis can be used to spread awareness of self-help groups in the general public. Experts from thesis can draw a new knowledges and continue to refer to self-help groups as appropriate aftercare instrument.

The theoretical part includes the characteristics of psychotic illness, legal protection of patients, possible treatment and aftercare. The practical part describes and compares three selected services or facilities. This is the Horizon Zlín, therapeutic workshops Kotva Strážnice and day service center Uherské Hradiště - Jarošov. It also includes assessment of the importance of individual therapeutic activities with clients focusing on the reduction of recurrent symptoms of schizophrenia and pointing out the importance of aftercare services and improving the facilities that this follow-up care for people with schizophrenic disorders are provided. The empiric part contains target of research that deals with getting more information about facts related to relapse, how it is reflected by the addicted during the treatment and after it. It is used the method of semistructurated interviews whose transcription I consequently analyzed in accordance with the embedded theory. The analysis went first on the open coding level, later on the axial coding level.
