Thesis is structured into two main parts, a theoretical part and a part of results. The first part is theoretical, that contains information about the origins of fire prevention, a list of essential legislation and standards that directly relate to the question of fire prevention and preventive educational activities and the outline of the current situation. It is also possible to find there the information, which are intended to characterize the district of České Budějovice in geography and administrative characteristics. In the remaining part of the theoretical section of the thesis describes the different organizations operating in the field of the fire prevention and preventive educational activities, starting from the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Association of Firefighters of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia and volunteer firefighters in the end. Next part of this thesis contains a methodology that describes the way of necessary data acquiring for the results part of the thesis. To obtain information concerning the activities of volunteer fire brigades in the field fire prevention and preventive educational activities were approached all of 213 volunteer fire brigades, which operates in the district of České Budějovice, and at the same time, information were approached by the inhabitants of the district of České Budějovice. Respondents from the population were selected based on a stratified selection, during which it was randomly drawn 23 municipalities. In each of the winning communities were as follows, based on deliberate choice after consultation with representatives of the community, selected the identification of sites where polling was done. In this part was stipulated the research question, which were evaluated according the gathered information. Results part of the thesis is divided into several sub-sections. The first of these subsections contains the results of the questionnaire survey, which took place among the volunteer fire brigades in the district of České Budějovice. Only 158 from a total of 213 corps responded to repeated requests for cooperation. It's approximately 74 % of volunteer fire brigades in this district. The results are presented, depending on the nature of the question, either as text or as a graph, which is accompanied by a brief commentary for easier understanding. Similarly is addressed the second subsection, which contains the results detected under the questionnaire survey among the residents of the district of České Budějovice. This section contains the results either in text form, whether there was a so-called open question where respondents had the opportunity to express their opinions in their own words, or in a graphical representation of using the graph, if there was a question where respondents chose from pre-prepared answers. In the chapter titled Evaluation of the activities of volunteer fire brigades are results obtained from volunteer fire brigades and residents summed to a total overview shown in several tables. Research question, which was formulated in the methodological section, was evaluated and possible measures through which it would be possible to improve the present situation, was suggested according the research. Six proposals were determined to improve present situation. Overall, the proposed measures aim two main tasks, to clearly define the meaning of existence volunteer fire brigades in today's society and to encourage volunteer fire brigades in activities in the field of fire prevention and preventive educational activities.

Ab initio calculations of theoretical strength and phase stability in copper
Černý, M. ; Šob, Mojmír ; Šandera, P.
Simulation of tensile test of copper cryslat along <001> is performed using ab initio full-potential linear augmented plane waves (FLAPW) method. Both the local density approximation (LDA) and generalized gradient approximation (GGA) are used to evaluate exchange-correlation contribution to the total energy. Equilibrium lattice parameter and Young modulus are computed ro assess reliability of our results by comparing them with experiment. Stability conditions for uniaxially loaded system are presented and analyzed. Finally, the ideal strength (IS) is calculated.

Introduction to Survival Analysis
Valenta, Zdeněk
Survival analysis is concerned with analyzing time-to-event data where the event of interest usually represents some type of “failure”. In clinical medicine, the event of interest may be e.g. death of a patient from well specified causes, autoimmune rejection of the graft by the transplant recipient or other type of graft failure in transplant studies. In certain situations, however, the true survival outcomes may not be observable, because we have observed a so called “censoring event” which prevented the event of interest from occurring. Such censoring event may represent, for instance, loss of a particular subject from follow-up, occurrence of administrative censoring, which typically takes place in clinical trials, or we may indeed observe other type of “failure”, e.g. death from fatal injuries rather than from cardiovascular causes which were of primary interest in a particular clinical trial. In this article we will stress the importance of a key assumption relating censoring process to survival outcomes and review principle univariate survival analysis methods for uncorrelated data. We will review popular models for analyzing univariate survival data, many of which enable us quantifying effect the prognostic variables independently exert on survival outcomes. Model examples will cover the classes of non-parametric, parametric and semi-parametric methods. We will also review underlying assumptions of individual models and stress the importance of using appropriate models in analyzing univariate time-to-event data.

Computer-administered assessment - ability tests
Klimusová, Helena ; Květon, Petr
The ever increasing application of computer technology in the psychological practise and particulary in psychological assessment raises questions regarding menthological issues of usage of the computer versions of the traditional psychological tests. In our paper we have focused on the comparsion of the computer and the traditional (paper-pencil) form of administration of widely used assessment methods. Amthauer´s Intelligence Structure Test (IST-70) and Kucera´s Attention Concentration Test have been used out of the ability tests.

Oxygen therapy in newborns of nursing perspective
KADLEČKOVÁ, Zuzana
The thesis concerns the treatment of newborns with oxygen from the nursing perspective. Work has part of theoretical and of research. In the theoretical part I focus on the latest European Resuscitation Council best practices in the administration of oxygen as well as longer-term oxygen according to best practices of the Czech neonatology in inpatient Department. First, particular attention devoted to the reconstruction of the fetoplacental circulation of the newborn with subsequent changes in his lung and blood circulation after birth, because it is an integral part of the knowledge in the treatment of oxygen. The next section is devoted to the principles of the first treatment of the newborn, in particular with regard to the assessment of the postnatal adaptation and the decision to open the oxygen therapy by nurse or midwife assistant. The following are mentioned in the work at the same time valid recommendations for the resuscitation of the newborn, again with an emphasis on the question of the use of oxygen. In the next chapter is summarized the most common neonatal pathology, which requires oxygenotherapy. The following chapter covers ways to feed oxygen to newborns as early in the process of adaptation, so when a stay in the neonatal intensive care unit. There are described the proper techniques of monitoring and summarises the complications of treatment with oxygen in its inadequate application. Research section includes the identification of the knowledge of the nursing staff in the treatment of oxygen for newborns and then system in the education of nursing staff in matters of oxygen therapy. For research were established two objectives. The first objective is to map the knowledge of nursing staff in the principles of application of oxygen for newborns in the neonatal intensive care and resuscitation and in the birthing room. And the aim of the second was to determine what form is tutored by the nursing staff in the area of oxygen for newborns. On the basis of these objectives have been laid down 3 research questions. The first question is: What are the main differences between knowledge and best practice version of the nursing staff in the application of oxygen for a newborn? The second question is: Is the education of nursing staff in the resuscitation of the emphasis is on the practical implementation and on the systematic recurrence? And the third question is: How does the education staff in the principles of oxygen therapy beyond resuscitation? For research inquiries, he was elected qualitative research. For data collection have been used individual interviews with 5 children's nurses, who work in a specialized neonatologickém work in the field of neonatal intensive care units and in the field of bithings rooms of the Hospital Department in České Budějovice a.s. The Interviews were subsequently rewritten into a Bachelor's thesis and at the conclusion of the results of a detailed table was created, where results are presented. Of the investigation can be concluded that nursing staff have sufficient knowledges in the field of oxygen therapy in newborns and nursing and best practices in the application of oxygen. As regards education, which relates to the resuscitation of newborns is done regularly, once a year in the Department The results of the work could be used to identify deficiencies in training in the field of application of oxygen in resuscitation with the aim of directing the education of personnel in this area.
