The topic of the diploma thesis is "The local action groups in the Czech Republic in the programming period 2007 - 2013: A Case Study MAS Hlučínsko". The thesis deals with the local development and rural areas in general with a focus on voluntary cooperation with the local actors from the private, public and nonprofit sectors in Hlučínsko. The analytic part contains an analysis of the socio-economic areas, analysis of completed projects in the programming period 2007 - 2013 focused both on improving the technical and transport infrastructures and the development of rural heritage and synthesis of findings from an empirical investigation in the form of structured interviews with representatives of MAS Hlučínsko.

Evaluation of a state of rural business and motivational factors for its formation in the microregion Sedlčansko

This Master thesis is based on empirical research of entrepreneurial subjects located in microregion Sedlčany which searches and evaluates the impacts of rural entrepreneurship in this region. Rural entrepreneurship has gone through changes. In comparison to its past, these changes have reflected the growing importance of non-agricultural subjects in countryside. Theoretical part presents a view into general way-outs to define a countryside and rural business. In addition, practical part pays attention to analysis of specific impacts of companies in this limited region. For instance, it brings us critical knowledge about cooperative networking, targeted markets, positive and negative factors which may influence local businesses. A component of this analysis is also an attempt to find and define motivating factors for migration in this monitored area.

The development and demographic consequences of suburbanization in the base of Prague

This bachelor work shows the characteristic progress of suburbanization in the base capital city of the Czech Republic, after the Velvet Revolution. The Second World War interrupted the very successful dynamic era of Czechoslovakia and the following socialistic era had been holding the natural pressure on suburbanization, till the fall of the communist regime at 1989. After the transformation of 1989, it appeared that all those years of struggling; still the Czechs desire to live in a family house in the countryside also known as the suburb. Finally, it was possible to have a restful life in the countryside with job opportunities a short distance nearby capital city. The analyst is using the suburbanization calculations in Central Bohemia Region, depending upon the capital city, using exponential function for the period 2001-2011, which shows the general estimation of suburbanization process in the certain area and also refers to the possible reasons for the differences which are diverged from the general trends. The analyst results may also help to explain future impacts for certain areas. At the end of this work, the main goals have been set up for the regional politics, which is trying to help every region to stay independent and also increase their cooperation and solidarity.

Studie obnovy veřejných prostor obce Vědomice

My final thesis analyses and evaluates the development of the recent situation of the village of Vědomice. The analyses were made for the general arrangement and functioning of the village. There were made the analyses of the buildings, the civic equipment, the traffic and the green area, as well as the historical development, which is an important part of the general assessment. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the public space from the garden and landscape architecture perspective. The analyses concentrate on the whole cadastral area of the village and one of its parts, the central part called Zavadilka. According to the evaluation of the outcomes of the analyses, basic values and problems of the village are determined. Model solutions and remedies are proposed for the whole cadastral area, to improve the quality of the public space of the village. An architectonic study, made for the selected area, aims at the improvement of the quality of the central space and the increase of its aesthetical and functional value. The basic idea is to create a specific space for the local inhabitants that would serve their everyday needs and would also become a place of relaxing and meeting. The model solutions' proposition made for the whole cadastral area should revert the village to its original character that was lost during the past times and create suitable conditions for quality life of the local inhabitants. Propositions of building new houses, used materials or landscape elements are included in the model solutions.

The diploma thesis deals with issue of contemporary development of rural settlements. Literary part concerns historical and current form of rural settlement and it determines presumptive trend. Particularly serious is the problem of lost identity development and spacious suburban area. Practical part concerns model object Ochoz u Brna. Project does not solve all the problems of village, but primarily those that can substantially improve the quality of life. Also the project proposes better environment for next generation. The solution answers set of questions as: Who wants Ochoz to be? Where in the village to build? How to build? Where to go downtown? How to keep connection with the country?

This bachelor thesis is about possibilites of revitalisation and recultivation for urban spaces of country seats with local orientation on Moravskokrumovsko region. It is segmented into two parts: theoretic part is generally devoted to historic development of urban structure of country seats, it is specialized in history of settlement of this region, its contemporary situation too, its problems and possible solutions. In practical part are -- based on objective criterions of chosen metodology -- researched four chosen concrete seats (villages Bohutice, Rakšice, Rokytná, Vedrovice) and for chosen locality within one of them was created project for soulution.

Quality of life in rural municipalities - study comparing situation within and outside protected areas

The topic of bachelor thesis was comparison of selected aspects quality of life in two villages, located in different conditions from aspect of protection of nature. Specifically is issuing about comparison of village Lomnice nad Lužnicí in PLA Třeboňsko and village Dolní Bukovsko (out of protected landscape area). Thesis has got character of empirical comparison study, combinated quantitative and qualitative accesses of data collecting and analysing. Results from questionnaire investigation are representing satisfaction of the population with quality of life in this locations.

Rural tourism - case study of Holubov village

In the theoretical part are define terms related to tourism and impal on nature. Practical part also contains a description of the selected lokality Holubov village, in Southbohemian region. The practical part compares the data obtained from survey in 2013 and 2015. In this survey were research opinions and attitudes of residents and tourists.

Comparison of car transport in rural and urban areas from the aspect of environment

The aim of this thesis is comparison of the traffic consumption in three selected European countries. Analysis and comparison of traffic intensity in rural and urban areas of the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands. The thesis is focused on the evaluation of the diversity of rural and urban traffic consumption and it asseses the relationships between transport and the environment. Hypotheses are verified by analysis of carbon dioxide emissions in the passenger car, public and air transport (data from the project GILDED).
