Kinematics of football's overhead throwing
Huráb, Tomáš ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Buzek, Mario (referee)
Title Kinematics offootball's overhead throwing Aim of research The main aim of the research was to find out of the differences between two ways of soccer throw in from point of the movement performance. We eYaluated speed of the ball during the phase ofrelease, distance ofthe throw and the trajectory of flying the ball which has stated like the criterion of performance. Movement pattem was observed by means of the spatio-temporal interaction. Methods Observed group was formed by n = 13 soccer skilled soccer players. They executed oYerhead soccer throw-in by two ways: 1) static throw-in, 2) throw-in after run up. All throws was executed in line with rules of the soccer throw-in. The speed of the ball was stated by means of radar gun STALKER. The horizontal distance and trajectory of flying phase of the ball was diagnostified by 2D kinematics analysis and evaluation of the throwing technique was realized by 3D spatial video analysis. Results The comparison of the two ways of soccer throw-in shows that higher speed of the ball during the phase of releasing and longer distance of throw was in favour of the way after run up thro\\ing. We found out the some differences between intraindiYidual attempts of the throws. It seems, that the key phase ofthis movement is backswing phase over the head and forward swing...

Henri Pourrat's Gaspard des Montagnes
Tučková, Lucie ; Jamek, Václav (advisor) ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (referee)
The diploma thesis introduces in detail the chiefliterary work ofHenri Pourrat Gaspard from the Mountains. After the introduction ofthe author's individuality and after highlighting the main sources of inspiration of Pourrat 's work, the thesis is devoted to a thorough analysis of "Gaspard from the Mountains" in terms ofhow it was created in accordance with the oral folk tradition, an analysis which has not been attempted to by anyone tilI this time. This has been proved on the theme of the work itself and on its episodes, structuring of Gaspard from the Mountains into individual part s corresponding with particular evenings which as ifthey were spent together with a woman-narrator ofthe story, on the inserted humour, and last but not least on the way ofhow language devices typical for oral expression are employed. One whole chapter ofthe thesis has been devoted to individuallanguage levels ofthe work. Next, the spiritual part ofthe literary work which basically determines the direction ofthe main story line is stressed because faith underlies all actions of Anne Marie, the heroine ofthe story. The lyrical as well as the spiritual parts also display Henri Porraťs extraordinary poetic capacity. The last chapter ofthe thesis provides the first critical evaluation ofboth Czech translations of Gaspard .from the...

The French Lieutenant's Woman: novel as a palimpsest
Nagy, Ladislav
In the present work I set myself a task to interpret John Fowles's novel The French Lieutenant's Woman, probably author's most famous book. There were several reason why I chose this book: first, it was the book itself - the themes dealt with and the problems to which the book paid attention. Secondly, it was the significance of the book (and a kind of narrative strategy embraced here) for further development of British prose writing, especially for so called "middle generation" authors such as Salman Rushdie, Martin Amis Julian Barnes, Peter Ackroyd, Graham Swift and others. It was mainly because of the second reason that I decided not to interpret the novel along "existential" line which is what have been recently done by many Fowlesian critics. I did not regard the stance of the author, or the so called "authorial intention," to be something endowed with real "authority" - this approach I attempted to justify in the introduction. Instead of "authorial intention" I paid attention to various narrati ve strategies employed in the text - it is significant that one of these is the "unreliable narrator" which, I think, supports my approach in not regarding what the narrator (or the author outside his text) says as something unquestionable. In the first part of my work I thus dealt with the question whether Mr....

Testing of production efficiency during culturing of market size of North African catfish (\kur{Clarias gariepinus}) using specialized feeds with an substitute of fish meal in semioperational conditions of RAS
HOUDA, Ondřej
There was considered production efficiency of three kinds of feeds with a partial substitute of fish meal specified to intensive culturing of "catfishes" in North African catfish in semioperational conditions of RAS in present BSc. thesis. There were made use of feeds by the Dutch company Coppens (CATCO SELECT - 13EF, CATCO GROWER - 12EF) and feed by the Hungarian company Haltáp. The individual feeds differed particularly from the contents of fat and from the contents and the origin of a proteinous component. The temperature in the course of the whole experiment was 24.5 ? 0.95 °C (mean ? S.D.), pH was 7.2 ? 0.34 and the content of dissolved oxygen was 2.4 ? 0.34 mg ? 1 O2. The experiment was divided into three particular feeding periods 20 days at a time and it took 63 days in total. The size of optimal relative daily ration served to fish along the line of the experimental attempt made in the event of feed SELECT - 13EF 1.40 ? 0.29 % (mean ? S.D.), GROWER - 12EF 1.28 ? 0.21 % and Haltáp 1.94 ? 0.06 %. Next production parameters were followed in the course of own attempt: individual weight, stocking density of tank, specific growth rate (SGR), food conversation ratio (FCR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), gonadosomatic index (GSI), Fulton's coefficient of condition and utilisation rate. Average stocking density of fish in tank was 53.49 ? 0.36 kg ? m-3 at the start of the experiment and 168.75 ? 12.23 kg ? m-3 at the end. Average individual weight of fish at the beginning of the experiment was 269.64 ? 10 g and by the end 642.85 ? 55 g. In the course of testing it came to average increase in individual weight approximately 2.4 times. Resulting mortality along the line of the experimental period was on level 1.25 %. The hightest achieved SGR was discovered at the group feeded by feed SELECT - 13EF (1.58 ? 0.41 % ? d-1), the group feeded by feed Haltáp came after (1.38 ? 0.38 % ? d-1). The most favourable values FCR were achieved by use of feed SELECT - 13EF (0.83 ? 0.02), the group feeded by feed GROWER - 12EF (87 ? 0.01) followed, the worst result was achieved by use of feed Haltáp (1.37 ? 0.13). The most favourable values PER were achieved at fish feeded by feed SELECT - 13EF (2.89 ? 0.08), feed GROWER - 12EF (2.54 ? 0.04) followed and the worst results were found out by use of feed Haltáp (1.65 ? 0.14). GSI was growing on average five times higher values (2.65 ? 1.34) at females than at males (0.53 ? 0.26). The difference of achieved GSI depending on used feed was not found. Fulton's coefficient of condition acquired average value at females 1.09 ? 0.10 and at males 1.06 ? 0.07. Average value of utilisation rate acquired at females 39.96 ? 1.26 % and at males 40.46 ? 2.33 %. The lowest expense per weight gain (evaluated for increase of 1 kg) were noticed at feed Haltáp (41.33,- CZK), feed SELECT - 13EF (41.98,- CZK) came after and feed GROWER - 12EF proved to be (44.02,- CZK) the worst. The review of analyses of organoleptic qualities (consistence, smell, taste and aftertaste) and the preferential analyses did not show any significant, demonstrable influence of used feed on quality of gained flesh. Evaluators (35.77 % of respondents) labeled the sample of muscle of catfish feeded by feed Coppens CATCO SELECT - 13EF as the most delicious.

Changes of body conformation of Old Kladruby horses
KARDOVÁ, Lenka
Horses have been companions to humans for thousands of years, both as work animals and as part of our culture. The Old Kladruber horse is a Czech autochthonous breed included in animal genetic resources. The aim of my thesis was to assess the gradual change in the external features of Old Kladruber horses in the years 1900 2013 in both the colour variants. I focused on 5 body measurements (height at the withers measured by tape, height at the withers measured by stick, girth of chest, girth of bone) collected for 1021 horses registered in the breed registry. The obtained values have been summarized and subsequently statistically and graphically evaluated. The results imply that values of wither height of Old Kladruber horses measured both by tape and stick have been increasing, whereas their weight has slightly dropped. In white horses, the average increase in the tape-measured wither height amounted to 3.5 cm and to 7 cm in black horses. Stick height at the withers has shown an increase ranging between 3 4.7 cm in white horses, while in black horses, the values ranged between 6 10 cm. In stallions, the chest girth was determined at 197.5 cm. White mares had a chest girth of 199.55 cm. Almost identical value, i.e. 198.13 cm, was determined for black mares. The bone girth has remained almost unchanged. A slight decrease was observed in white Old Kladruber horses stallions in the years 1970 2013 by 0.5 cm. This change was most probably caused by the addition of blood of other breeds in the past. A drop in the weight was monitored over the time interval of 1930 2013 and it ranged between 22 kg and 73 kg according to the monitored group. This drop in the weight and increase in the body frame implies a change in the type of the horse, tending rather to the sports type. However, this change can also be affected by the conditions in the environment. Only in unique cases, the values of the variation coefficient in the years 1990 2013 exceeded the limit of 10%. Groups of monitored horses of both colour variants can thus be considered balanced. In the years 1990 2013, several horses of a non-compliant standard height were also included in the breed. This was required as part of the attempt to preserve all of the existing lines and families as well as to keep the coefficient of relationship low.

Effects of trypsin to HEK293 cell membrane
Lipnická, Soňa ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis examines the effect of trypsin on the membranes of cell cultures. HEK293 cell lines nontransfected and cell lines stably transfected through the CaV3.1 membrane channels were selected for the optimization. They were gradually exposed to 0.25, 0.375 and 0.5 % trypsin. The concentration of trypsin influences the separation of the adherent cells on structure, as well as the degradation of cell membranes, which influences the cell cultures viability. Part of this thesis is an attempt to establish a methodology for the research of the effect of trypsin on membranes of HEK293 cell lines.

Regularities of orchestral play and and their significance for the conductor in the process of studying a piece
Vrabec, Ondřej ; Bělohlávek, Jiří (advisor) ; Bělohlávek, Jiří (advisor) ; Farkač, Hynek (referee)
Every game has its rules. A person with a healthily developed social instinct learns to respect them already since an early age. Have you crushed another person's mud pie, have you had your eyes open during the game of hide-and-seek, haven't you paid a forfeit while playing spin the bottle? Out goes you! Game rules are one of the few real examples of equality among people. In principle, while disregarding individual abilities, everyone has the same starting conditions on the starting line. Neither is the orchestral play spared the necessity of rules. They are numerous, highly sophisticated and moreover, they are individually tinged and vary from one ensemble to another. As human society has not managed, in the thousands of years of its existence, to establish rules for observing rules (and it could not have been managed), thus rules are being broken in the relationship of the conductor and the orchestra. What is more, many conductors do not have an idea about their existence. However, looking for rules and understanding them is a necessary precondition for achieving any artistic aim in a quick and effective way. Unfortunately they are not taught at schools, nor dealt with in books. In accord with my previous bachelor work I claim that the door to fully comprehend the rules will be opened mostly to the conductors, who learnt to know the orchestra from the inside and gained an irreplaceable experience of an orchestral player. The others must obtain necessary knowledge in the painful manner of trial and error virtually in the course of full operation of the orchestra, if they are motivated to look for them at all (in the best of cases). This study attempts to analyze some of the key rules of orchestral play in association with particular conductor approaches (introduced anonymously), so that it can hold the mirror of self - reflexion up to the conducting profession. The mirror is small with its format A4, but it is highly transparent and thus it brings a picture (to me at least), which is not distorted in any way, the picture of different prerequisites for the profession of a conductor and an orchestral player... The work is divided into three major thematic spheres. The first one is concerned with the laws of creating orchestral colours. It illuminates the significance of sound timbre as an indicator of correctness of play technique practices and coordination of a group of homogeneous instruments in time micro - intervals. It deals with the specific ability of some instruments to thicken orchestral sound, including solution proposals. It ponders on the question of an effective use of vibrato as a means of expression in the relation to the timbre quality of sound. It describes techniques of blending instrumental timbres convincingly. It also touches marginally upon the influence of the seating of an orchestra on the resulting sound performance and principles of sound behaviour in an acoustic space. The second chapter is dedicated to intonation. It emphasizes that a convincing result of intonation cannot be separated from tone timbre. It analyzes in much detail the problematics of fluctuation of orchestral intonation, the clash of tempered and natural tuning, combined intonation of instrumental sections, the influence of seating of an orchestra on the intonational orientation of players, balancing and tuning of consonances and other laws. The last chapter concerns psychology of the play. It deals with mutual relations of the conductor and orchestra and it seeks ways in which the conductor can assist the players during the play from the psychological point of view.

Studium atmosfér Be hvězd
Sokolovičová, Júlia ; Kubát, Jiří (advisor) ; Mayer, Pavel (referee)
Be stars are a group of hot, massive, emission-line stars characterized by intense radiatively-driven stellar wind and extremely rapid rotation. The typical emission in the Balmer series arises in a thin equatorial disc around the star. The detailed structure and most of all origin of the disc are still unknown. The aim of this thesis is to give a thorough review of the main directions of research into the eld. We describe observational features that set Be stars apart from the rest of the B spectral class: Balmer emission, linear polarization, infrared excess and superionized resonance lines in the far UV range; also main physical characteristics of the underlying star, and variability. We discuss the so-called Be phenomenon - the unknown mechanism creating the emission-producing circumstellar disc in Be stars, and providine an overview of the most successful models attempting to explain the Be phenomenon. Finally we discuss the rotation law of the disc and its importance in placing a physical constraint on possible models for Be stars, and apply one of the examined rotation parameter nding methods.
