Endoparasitosis of feathered game
BARVÍŘ, Pavel
A total of 180 samples, 119 from pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) and 61mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) were collected during two consecutive years (from 2011 to 2012). All samples were examined for the presence endoparasite using the flotation method according Sheather. In samples from pheasants were detected these types of parasites: Capillaria spp., Eimeria spp., Heterakis spp., and Trichostrongylus spp. In addition, Syngamus spp. and Cryptosporidium spp. were detected in the duck samples. Microscopical examination of aniline-carbol-methyl violet stained fecal smears revealed to Cryptosporidium spp. 12 positive samples originating from Anas platyrhynchos. DNA was extracted from Cryptosporidium positive samples and all microscopically negative samples. Nested PCR was performed to amplify the partial SSU rRNA gene of Cryptosporidium. The sequence analyses of PCR-positive specimens identified 10 samples as Cryptosporidium avian genotype III and 4 samples as C. muris. No clinical signs were detected in any Cryptosporidium positive animals. This is the first report of Cryptosporidium avian genotype III in the Czech Republic and also in Anas platyrhynchos.
Diversity of diving beatles in cultural landscape
EBERMANNOVÁ, Petra
Diving beetles (Dytiscidae) are the most speciose family of predatory aquatic beetles. This work consisted of a literature review of factors influencing the diversity of diving beetles in time and space and a field survey of diving beetles in various parts of vegetated littoral habitats of human-altered water bodies during the season. The survey took place at nine ponds near the villages of Třebín and Dubné and on the edge of the town of České Budějovice in spring, summer and autumn 2011. The results showed a preference of diving beetles for ponds with smaller amounts of fish, less nutrient supply and larger vegetation coverage. All these factors influence the abundance of diving beatles. One rare species, Hydrovatus cuspidatus, was found during the survey.
Differentiation of European Integration Process
Svobodová, Tereza ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Druláková, Radka (referee)
The main task of the thesis entitled Differentiation of European Integration Process is historical excursus into the development of the policy of differentiation and flexibility within the European integration member countries. The thesis points out the comparison of the speeches delivered by leading representatives that helped forming theoretical basis of this european policy. The thesis then also characterises the main models of differentiated collaboration and evaluates their present contribution and future utilisation. With help of theoretical foundings the thesis then analyses three particular examples of differentiation in existing European integration process.
Diversity of the soil microbial community and its functional aspects in man-influenced environments
CHROŇÁKOVÁ, Alica
Diversity of the soil microbial community and its functional aspects were investigated in man-influenced environments, such as colliery spoil heaps in post mining sites and upland pasture used for outdoor cattle husbandry. The study was based on the cultivation of bacteria and streptomycetes as well as culture-independent approaches. Cultivated bacteria and streptomycetes were characterized by phenotypic and genotypic means. The culture-independent approaches were based on an analysis of environmental DNA in terms of both qualitative and quantitative parameters.
Diversity Management
Matějková, Kristýna ; Fučíková, Jana (advisor) ; Vernerová, Hana (referee)
The Bachelor`s Thesis is concerned with Diversity Management and its implementation in companies situated in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to at least partially answer the question, whether diversity of employees is managed in the Czech Republic, or not. Situation in companies had been monitored by personal dialogues with managers, personal observation and internet research. The findings based on this research are that neither of the chosen companies fully implemented Diversity Management and is successfully managing diversity of their employees.
Diversity management
Horázná, Eliška ; Fučíková, Jana (advisor) ; Stříteský, Marek (referee)
The thesis is focused on diversity management in the Czech Republic. The author deals with diversity of economically active population in the Czech Republic and also, based on the screening of websites of selected companies, analyses the extent to which companies in the Czech Republic deal with diversity management in the context of personal marketing. Emphasis is placed on how the studied companies present their approaches to diversity and whether it is also used in individual job offers. The aim is to prove that in the Czech Republic, the implementation of diversity management is relevant and also to map the approaches of selected companies to use of diversity management in their personal marketing. In conclusion the author summarizes the results of the conducted screening and creates suggestions for companies which have decided to deal with diversity management.
Mapping the banks of the Želivka river within the framework of studying ecological invasions and invasive species \kur{I. glandulifera} and \kur{I. parviflora}
URBAN, Miroslav
The aim of the study was to study the invasion ecology and the to study the invasion of two species of the genus Impatiens, namely I. glandulifera and I. parviflora. I then chose the right bank of the Želivka river in the Czech-Bohemian highlands to study and survey the plant association and population of two mentioned species. Consequently I focused my study on the river biotope and the role of invasive species in it. Further I have worked up a research summary on the ecology of the invasion and the role of the above mentioned species in the riparian biotopes.
Diversity of ectomycorrhizal fungi in beech forest \kur{(Fagus sylvatica)}
HEJNA, Ondřej
The objectives of this work described here were to summarize and evaluate current knowledge in ectomycorrhizal fungi with the intention at the colonization of root system beech Fagus sylvatica to ectomycorrhizal fungi. This work mainly was targeted at diversity of these ectomycorrhizal fungi in beech forest affected positive and negative by environmental and anthropogenic factors. Last part of this work describes qualitative and quantitative methods used in investigation of ectomycorrhizal fungi and their diversity.
Biodiversity of fish in selected inflows of water reservoir Lipno 1
SALON, František
Monitoring of fish populations was performed in the localities having normal natural pattern with minimum ratio of and violation by anthropogenic activity. Monitoring took place in 2009-2010 in two localities, the Pestřice Brook and the Hamerský Brook. Electrofishing was used for the actual mapping of fish populations and selected flows. Fishing took place upstream, within the whole width of the stream and the length of the section reached approximately 100 m. Caught fish and lamprey species were determined, their length was identified by means of a measurement board and, after documentation, they were carefully returned back to the stream. The assessed data provide basic information about the species structure of fish population and its nature, development of diversity and equitability, species abundance, dominance and size variability etc. The mostly fished species Salmo trutta m. fario, Perca fluviatilis and protected and threatened species Lampetra plameri, Cottus gobio, Lota lota, Phoxinus phoxinus.
