Design of the constructed wetland Kozičín
Řeháková, Petra ; Vymazal, Jan (advisor) ; Lenka, Lenka (referee)
Artificially created wetlands have great potential for sewage treatment. Their use is possible in areas where they still lack sewage or leads to poor wastewater handling various kinds. Constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment can be an adequate alternative to conventional centralized systems. In accordance with the requirements of sustainable development in terms of decentralized solutions. In a review of thesis provides an overview of legislation that relate to the design, permitting and implementation of wetlands. It introduces the principles of functioning, history and current state of the relevant issues. It analyzes the possible technical solutions. In the practical part to a specific location, which is located in the cadastral Kozicin is applied proposal reed beds. The proposal was preceded by field research community and based on the specific conditions of the territory. They are determined volumes of waste water and the amount of expected pollutants whose elimination is to take place. Subsequently designed space for placement and basic parameters root filters together with other related objects so that the way of solving environmental depollution wastewater was indeed effective. The conclusion is made a summary of the various measures to be followed in order to achieve the desired results.
Design of a constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment at Měcholupy
Müller, Jan ; Vymazal, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáková Březinová, Tereza (referee)
The first part of my thesis is focused on wetlands. I explained the concept of wetlands, made their description with focusing on artificial wetlands. Furthermore, this part of thesis described processes in wetlands, which are used for wastewater treatment. In the thesis are describe constructed wetlands used for wastewater treatment, parts of wetlands and most commonly used vegetation. Next part of my bachelor thesis is focuses on project of constructed wetland used for wastewater treatment. This project will be processed for village Měcholupy, which is located on northwest of Czech Republic in district Louny. I made description of village focused on natural condition in village, description of wastewater and sewer system in village. Then will be described design of specific constructed wetland, decription of their individual parts, calculate size of this parts and evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of wastewater treatment in constructed wetland. Annex contain several photographs capturing place for possible construction and financial budget of the project.
Vliv kořenové čistírny na makrozoobentos recipientu
Sokolová roz. Jeřábková, Helena
This diploma thesis elaborates on the influence of constructed wetlands on macrozoobenthos of the respective recipients. Constructed wetlands near the town of Hostětín were chosen for this research project, as well as its recipient Kolelač river delta where cleaned water is drained into. The report also contains analysis of Kolelač's stream area which took place during April 2013 under the auspices of the TA02020128 project by T.G.Masaryk Water Research Institute Brno. Investigation was performed in five sites labeled L1-L5. Of these, L3 was placed in the vicinity below the outfall of constructed wetlands. The research involved a one-time collection of quantitative and qualitative samples of macrozoobenthos by the so called PERLA method. Different characteristics for each facility were analyzed in order to carry out a comprehensive survey. This included for example: abundance, amount of taxons; diversity; taxonomic composition of microzoobenthos; as well as other ecological factors of Kolelač stream quality affected by the constructed wetlands. Macrozoobenthos' studied using abiotic factors demonstrate that the L3 drainage area in closest proximity to constructed wetlands is more polluted than other locations. Analysis by a multi-metric index ranked L3 into the 3rd group, indicating that a medium ecological water quality was present, whereas other locations are ranked into the 5th group with the highest ecological quality of water.
Comprehensive water management in a family house without connection to the wastewater disposal system
Plhák, Jiří ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (referee) ; Hyánková, Eva (advisor)
Czech Republic is called roof of the Europe, several rivers rise here and many of them flow away and continue to other countries. That's why I find, that’s extremely important to manage out water sources properly and carefully, because for example the weather has a huge impact on our limited sources and can affect them especially in a dry periods. These issues can be improved by finding a use for used water, good storm water management as well as using greywater. In my diploma thesis, I'll be mainly focused on an overall water management in an ordinary family house. It has two parts as theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part is then split into another three parts. The first part covers a storm water management, the second is about waste water management. The third explains greywater management. In practical part of my diploma thesis, there's my study of not disposing rain water into a drain with other waste water, but making both waters useful. In this my particular subject in village called Plesnice, is projected a waste water treatment plant. Treated water will be accumulate together with rain water. Accumulated water will be used for irrigation. For a waste water treatment is projected a constructed wetland with vertical flow (down flow reed beds) and facility for sludge management. This is example of extensive technology. Irrigation system consists of storage tank with mechanical pre-treatment and pump valve shaft, sprinklers for lawns, drip irrigation decorative surfaces and everything is controlled by a control unit. Thanks to irrigation and rainwater remains in effect, which is important for local microclimate and save drinking water. This study is an example of that in water management is not necessarily a need for global action, but you can start with individuals and individual houses, which in total could have a significant effect on water retention in the landscape and to slow down and reduce the peak flow in rivers.
Business project for establishment of the pension
Prokopová, Jana ; Slezáková, Eva (referee) ; Mandelík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this Master´s Thesis is creating Business project for establishement mountain pension, which will be providing quality accomodation services together with environmental approach. This approach will be provided by using renewable resources energy.
Solutions and variability of vertical filters
Roupec, Ladislav ; Hyánková, Eva (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with innovative technical solution of vertical trickle filter systems, which are categorized into the category of natural ways thow to clean water. The actual vertical filters for root cleaners are currently experiencing a boom thanks to the MPO project with the working title Biostream, within which are vertical root systems tested on root cleaner in the village of Kotenčice (involved in pilot conditions). The results show an increased removal of ammonia nitrogen and high efficiency in the elimination of organic pollution BSK5 and CHSKCr. However, the practice may in the future require even higher efficiency that can be solved by small technical innovations and modifications. In connection with the forced aeration of vertical filters is elaborated the methodological part of the thesis, the final result of the work is several regression equations using which it is possible to determine the input of oxygen into the system at a given input parameters (filter size, water flow, air flow, etc.). The results are very useful for a scientific branch because there is not so much available literature for this topic.
Cleaning efficiency of vertical root filters
Opletal, Jan ; Hyánková, Eva (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was a survey about efectivity of vertical flow constructed wetlands. I find out, that vertical inttermitently flooded constructed wetland proved to be the most effecicient in pollution removal, based on data analysis form constructed wetland treatment plant in Kotenčice. The only disadvantage was weak denitrification process. Vertical filter was compared with series of horizontal and vertical continuosly flowed constructed wetland. Combination of horizontal and vertical filter was efficient enough to treat waste water, but it cannot be compared with vertical intermittently floded filter. Series of horozontal and vertical fully flooded constructed wetland had a low treatment efficiency.
Návrh hospodaření s odpadními vodami v obci Loučka
Štěpán, Jan
This diploma work is dealing with current condition of wastewater management in Loucka community. The research was carried out by questioner. Main task was to suggest new plan for wastewater management in this village according to the questioner results, as well as to pick a suitable place for the wastewater tratment plant. There is a literature resume on researched topic and description of local natural conditions in the first part of the work. Methodology part deals with current wastewater management condition and data collection method itself. Results of this work will be presented to the community representatives and will help during decision process in wastewater management enhacement plan in Loucka community.
