M. Illyenko and his play "The Bitch"
Jíchová, Viktorie ; Morávková, Alena (referee) ; Lendělová, Věra (advisor)
Mychaylo Illyenko is an important figure of the Ukrainian cultural life: a director, screenwriter, stage manager, writer, actor, dean of The Academy of Cinematography in Kyiv (), deputy chairman of The Association of Ukrainian cinematographs, a corresponding member of The Ukrainian Academy of Arts. As the main organizer of the film festival "Open night" for young Ukrainian filmmakers he attempts to regenerate the declining industry of Ukrainian cinematography. M. Illyenko's outstanding films, such as Fuchzhou (1993) and The Seventh Route (1997), have been awarded at a number of international film festivals. The question of the being of Ukraine and of the Ukrainianess as a feeling of belonging to one's ethnic origin, as well as the question of the state of the soul of a Ukrainian is still very problematic and urgent. This is hardly surprising, as the historical development of Ukraine since long time ago to the present has been very complicated. Ukraine is still a sort of frontier zone between the East and West, North and South, the past and future. This fatal crossing is thus reflected not only in the geographical situation of Ukraine, but also in the consciousness of the Ukrainian nation and in the soul of individuals. The play "The Bitch" (2006) is one of Illyenko's later pieces. It represents a very...

The benefit of the internships for the midwifery students
RAKUŠANOVÁ, Lucie
The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice offers students of midwifery the internships in Finnish town Kemi and in Namibian town Keetmanshoop. According to the final reports, students who return from the placements are very satisfied. This is mainly due to the practical skills gained by the management of the local midwives. One of the objectives of this thesis was to find out the specifics of the contribution of the foreign internships for students of midwifery. Another objective was to identify the specifics of the practical training of midwives in Finland and Namibia and to find the opportunities for their integration into the midwives training program in Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals in introduction with the theory and the benefits of the internships abroad. Secondly it deals with the education and the practical training of midwives in Czech Republic and the influence of mentorship on this training. Finally, the theoretical part covers education and practical training of midwives in Finland and Namibia. The qualitative research was used for this thesis, with the structured interviews as the technique of data collection. Five respondents, participants of foreign internships corresponded to ten questions in April 2012. The specific benefits of the internships for students of midwifery that were identified can be used by the foreign department of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies to create promotional materials for the internships abroad. The identified specifics of the practical training in Finland, Namibia and student?s opinions on the application of these specifics into the midwifery training in Czech Republic can serve the practical training guarantors of the faculty as an inspiration to improve and enrich the practical training of midwives in the Hospital Ceske Budejovice. It can particularly help with the selection of practical training mentors and transform theirs and midwives attitude to training of future generations of midwives. Finally, this thesis can also serve as an educational and inspirational material for mentors of practical training.

Chironomid communities of the Upper Stropnice River (Novohradské Mountains, South Bohemia)
Chalupová, Š. ; Matěna, Josef
The communities of chironomid larvae of the Upper Stropnice River were studied semiquantitatively between the river kilometres 40-55 during 2000 and 2001. Altogether 29 taxa were observed. Dominant forms were .i.Apsectrotanypus trifascipennis./i., .i.Macropelopia nebulosa./i. and .i.Prodiamesa olivacea./i.. The water quality calculated according to the chironomid communities corresponds to beta-mesosaprobity, only in the area of Upper Stropnice village it deteriorates to alfa-mesosaprobity. This fact gives evidence to presence of point sources of organic pollution. Further downstreams the values of saprobity return to the state above the source of organic pollution. In the anthropically influenced area of the stream the decrease in the diversity of chironomid communities occured. It is necessary to consider the results as preliminary, because the only family Chironomidae was analysed in detail, for exact results the analysis of the whole macrobenthic community is necessary.

The natural monument Myslivna in the Novohradské Mountains, charakteristic, proposal of protection and plan of care
ŘEZNÍČKOVÁ, Simona
Annotation ŘEZNÍČKOVÁ, S., 2012. The natural monument Myslivna in the Novohradské Mountains, charakteristic, proposal of protection and plan of care. Bachelor Thesis. University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical faculty, Department of Geography. The Novohradské Mountains are with its untouched nature unique phenomenom. They are located in southeastern part of Šumavská upland. We can find there the oldest protected areas in the Europe: NPR Žofínský prales and NPP Hojná Voda. These areas belong to small-scale Particularly Protected Areas. This thesis processes Plan of Care -Proposal for Proclamation which deals with location calling Myslivna. Myslivna is charakterized by elements of inanimate nature, especially by periglacial mesoforms which occupy NNW-SSE and NW-SE slope of Myslivna and part of its surroundings. Te aim of this thesis is to describe the physical-geographical conditions of the intersting territory and to create plan of care - proposal for proclamation. This plan should be the material for announcement of natural monument Myslivna. This work is focused on protection of nature which is in this southeastern corner of the Novohradské Mountains undisturbed thanks to border zone that walked this way.

Usability of municipalities association for the construction investment
Štrich, Petr ; Kocourková, Gabriela (referee) ; Hrabincová, Dagmar (advisor)
This thesis aims to analyze and then update publicly accessible register of clusters of municipalities in South - Moravian region. Work is based on specific research for the Science Center of Faculty of Civil Engineering AdMaS. Name of the research is "Leveraging the register of clusters of municipalities for the needs of marketing research and development at FAST." Within this research were added to the register certain information, such as E-mail address, website, revenues for the last three years, etc. and the entire register was processed in the form of a relational database. From this relational databases were created outputs in the form of tables and charts to scholarly articles. Furthermore, this work updated maps of technical equipment with municipal water conduit and sewerage. To these maps are drawn in municipal unions with corresponding activities. Thereafter are designed some expansion options and are used clusters of municipalities for investment purposes.

Pre-medical first aid for children suffering from intoxication
ROUSKOVÁ, Žaneta
The issue of this bachelor's thesis is pre-medical first aid for children with intoxication. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to chart the level of knowledge among ambulance employees in the South Bohemia and Vysočina regions of the pre-medical first aid for intoxicated children and to detect the way these health employees are educated in problems of peadiatrics outside the frame of the credit system. The theoretical part describes the obligation of education for first responders and their competence in connection with first aid. At the same time I describe the separation ofchildren's ages and the physiology of individual age groups , basic first aid, extended first aid, technical and personal. Later chapters contein the frequency of intoxication of children, it's symptoms, treatment and specifics. The research part was made by a guantitative method. The anonymous questionnaires were given out to paramedics and nurses in the South Bohemia region and Vysočina region. At the start of the bachelors thesis two hypothesis were determinated. The first hypothesis says that ambulance workers in the South Bohemia region have the same knowledge of pre-medical first aid for children with intoxication as ambulance workers in the Vysočina region. The second hypothesis claims: Ambulance workers in the South Bohemia region and in the Vysočina region have no education in the field of paediatrics outside the frame of the credit system. The first hypothesis was refuted. Knowledge of the respondents was evaluated in the field of intoxication in pediatrics by the test questions. Success of the respondents from South Bohemia region corresponds in 87 % and success in Vysočina region corresponds in 85 % in the test questions. Second hypothesis was confirmed. The 20 % of respondents argue that they are educated over the framework of the credit system in pediatrics and 80 % of respondents answered that they don't educate themselves. Bachelor thesis could contribute for students in medical specialization and also for health professionals, especially to complete the information about child intoxication field. Recommendation for personnel of emergency medical services for future graduates of medical disciplines is lifelong learning, enhance and complement their knowledge.

Crack propagation through a material interface
Náhlík, Luboš
This paper describes a study of the fatigue crack propagation through a material interface of two different elastic materials under assumptions of linear elastic fracture mechanics. Two procedures for estimation of threshold value for further crack propagation from bi-material interface to the second material are suggested. Special attention is devoted to crack perpendicularly oriented to the bi-material interface. The first one is based on modified Sih?s strain energy density concept and the second one on the size of area of the plastic zone in front of the crack tip. It is shown that the corresponding fatigue threshold value is strongly influenced by the existence of an interface between two materials. As a numerical example the procedures are in applied on body with protective layer. The calculation of the corresponding threshold values and comparison of both suggested procedures is performed. Both procedures make it possible to decide whether the crack will stop at the interface or will continue growing into the second material. The results generally contribute to a better understanding of the failure of structures with protective layers.

New localities of coarsely crystalline cryogenic cave carbonates in Slovakia
Orvošová, M. ; Vlček, L. ; Žák, Karel
Three new localities of coarsely crystalline cryogenic cave carbonates (CCCcoarse) have been recently discovered in the Western Carpathians, Slovakia. CCCcoarse are secondary mineral formations in the cave and belong to speleothems. They occur in the form of loose accumulations of calcite crystals and crystal aggregates freely deposited on the bottom of the cavities. Their genesis is interpreted as related to slow karst-water freezing in pools inside the caves, in relation to the existence of a permafrost zone during Quaternary glacials. The newly discovered CCCcoarse localities in Četníkova svadba Cave, Demänovská j. mieru Cave and Zlomísk Cave are characterized by description and photodocumentation of the present crystal forms, by preliminary C and O isotope data, and by their U-series ages. The ages of the cryogenic crystals are in the range between 47 and 12 ka BP, corresponding to the latter half of the Last Glacial. Any new locality of CCCcoarse formed during the Last Glacial represents an important source of information about paleoclimatic conditions of adjacent areas. The U-series ages of the new localities support the earlier conclusion that the formation of CCCcoarse is related to transitions from cold to warm climate periods within the Last Glacial.
