The Growth Warmblood Stallions During the Rearing
HRDINOVÁ, Lenka
The purpose of this thesis was to examine the growth and the growth curve of the Czech warmblooded horse stallions during rearing. Background materials were obtained based on its investigation of an examination horse rearing stable Czech warmblooded in Nový Dvůr (part of Municipal's stables in Pisek, sp). Stallions were measured in the years 2009 - 2010 in the age of 7 - 32 months. During this time it was measured 13 physical proportions, including four basic proportions ? height at withers (KVH) and height at withers measured by a tape (KVP), girth of a chest (OH) and girt of a shin (OHol). The growth curve and the behaviour of growth have been ascertained of the particular measurements. Then it was compared with literature. The greatest differences at results were observed in comparison with growth standards for height of withers. It was found that most of the measured stallions is classed in a growth zone + 1 (90.6% of cases). The remaining 9.4% of cases were included in the range + 2. The problem is also in the way, of definitiv of current standard, the current standard is determinated by one specific number (average value) and not spread within a certain range. The direct relationship with KVH also increased height at withers measured by tape. Based on the results we can conclude that the growth curve of the Czech warm-blooded stallions have changed and it should speculate about updating and modification of the standard for dispersion zone.
Evaluation of adaptability rearing handles grayling (Thymallus Thymallus) in terms of free water

Assessing the adaptability of artificially bred two year old handles grayling in natural conditions in the natural stream. Experiments will in the experiment location VÚRH JU Vodnany Blanice river 4B. Shanks will rearing intensively on circular pools and pelets feed. Experimental fish will be marked with chips and all dats (weight and length) of each fish recorded piece will return (survive) and growth compared to wild fish.
The influence of daily feeding ration on the growth and survivance of perch (Perca fluviatilis) at control conditions
JABLONICKÁ, Dagmara
I am concerned with the convenient daily feeding portions for a bass all my essay, which runs to for 84 days. These portions could be applied while the intensive breeding. The quantity of the daily feeding portions was established by the help of figures of 3 authors. These main poin is the comparison and the astimation between these authors. Which of the computed portions is the most suitable for the preservation the biological functions and the addition of muscle.
Biofuels from algae: Physiological characterization of candidate diatom species
PILNÝ, Jan
The aim of this study was to isolate and extensively test promising candidate diatom species for biodiesel cultivation. Diatom strains were isolated from natural habitats in the state of Ohio (USA). These strains were tested to find optimal growing conditions and media (concentration of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Silica, source of Nitrogen, temperature etc.).
Morphogenesis and growth of the benthic water bug (\kur{Aphelocheirus aestivalis }(Fabricius, 1794) (Insecta: Heteroptera: Aphelocheiridae).
INDROVÁ, Eliška
INDROVÁ E. 2008: Development and growth of the benthic water bug (Aphelocheirus aestivalis (Fabricius, 1794) (Insecta: Heteroptera: Aphelocheiridae). MSc. Thesis, University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical Faculty, České Budějovice. 62 pp. Postembryonic morphogenesis of the benthic water bug (A. aestivalis) was studied. Morphometric characters were measured in specimens of population from the Dračice River (South Bohemia: Třeboňsko). Differential characters of individual developmental stages are described and illustrated. Growth of this species is characterised by diagrams and equations of selected body parametres.
Comparison of growth and survival of selected tench breeds in performance test
PRCHAL, Martin
This thesis is focused on comparison of performance traits of growth and survival of selected breeds of the common tench using the pure-blooded animal breeding method. The best way how to compare performance traits of particular breeds is through so-called performance tests. For this thesis following breeds were chosen: Vodňanské -(V), Hlubocké(H), Königswartha (German - N), Mariansko-Lázeňské (ML) and Romanian(R). The Golden tench were chosen as a control breed in order to correct the influence of the environment on the weight achieved. The testing began with selection and stripping preparation of spawners of relevant breeds selected for testing. Own performance test of selected groups proceeded from yolk - sac fry to the age of L2 in ponds with semi-intensive farming. Each tested breed was bred in the first growing period and in winter period together with the control group only. After group marking (the second growing period) by the cryogenic method, all breeds were bred together with triplication. In the first testing period reproductive parameters of spawners and their weight and survival of tested breeds were evaluated, in other period only weight and survival were evaluated. Reproductive parameters in males did not vary statistically in none of the parameters using any statistical method. In females significant differences were proved only between the breeds ?Hluboká? and the control breed. After the second growing period the highest weight was achieved by the Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed (112.9 ? 44.9 g), whose weight was statistically comparable only with German breed (105.4 ? 32.4 g). The survival after this period ranged from 70,4 % (Romanian breed) to 84,1% (Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed) and all breeds had statistically comparable values. The best performance traits after the second year of testing was achieved by the Mariánsko-Lázeňské breed.
Ecological requirements of the critically endangered species \kur{Sedum villosum}
PRŮŠOVÁ, Monika
Hairy stonecrop (Sedum villosum) belongs to the group of plants that are endangered by real risk of extinction. If appropriate measures are not soon undertaken, it may disappear from the territory of the Czech republic. Preparation of an action plan should be a prerequisite for undertaking such measures. The aim of this diploma thesis was to verify ecological demands of this critically endangered species. I tested the effects of soil acidity and shading on seed germination and growth of hairy stonecrop plants in experimental conditions.
The rating of the growing foals
KUBŮ, Romana
The aim of this thesis was to judge a growth level of colts of the czech warm-blood under different conditions of breeding stations. 278 colts bred at testing breeding stations were observed in years 2001-2003. Their growth, exterior and movement mechanics were followed depending upon altitude of breeding stations, varying from 200 to 700 m above the sea level and were evaluated concerning ancestors of the genitor. Growth of 98 colts bred in 3 private keepings was followed and samples of green from 6 localities (24 habitats) in years 2005 and 2006 were analysed.
Effect of grazing heifers in the rearing of their performance
KUKLOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this work is to evaluate the course of rearing Red Pied heifers reared with use of graze and stable and review effect of graze use on subsequence performance in 1st lactation. In selected breed was monitored process of heifer grow by periodical weighting in three months interval, furthermore was taken for these heifers these reproduction indices: 1st insemination age, insemination index, 1st calve age. Heifers are divided by rearing form (graze, stable) and compared differences in grow intesities and reproduction efficiency between particular groups. Subsequently, for cows on first lactation were monitored and compared these indices: level of milk performance, content of milk elements, degree of physical condition, indices of fertility. Dairy cows are divided into groups according to how they were reared as heifers (graze, stable). When comparing growth of heifers, grazed heifers reaches higher values than group of not grazed heifers. Grazed heifers grows more quickly: at age 3 months was their average weight 93,26 Kg against 88,30 Kg not grazed heifers. At age 6 months was weight of grazed heifers 169,51 kg against 161,80 kg not grazed heifers, At age 9 months was values 236,47 kg for grazed heifers, 228,07 kg for not grazed heifers, at age 12 months 326,62 kg and 299,87 kg, at age 15 months 366,11 kg and 359,98 kg. From reproduction indices have been found statistically significant differences in age at 1st insemination, when the grazed heifers were flushed in average age of 18,43 months against not grazed heifers in age of 17,12 months. In addition, was found statistically significant differences in age at first calving, when the values obtained for the group of grazed heifers was 28.63 months and for not grazed heifers 27,73 months. First calving heifers reared on graze produce in lactation average 7 782,4 Kg of milk, first calving heifers reared in stable produce in lactation average 7 064,40 Kg of milk. Differences was statistically significant. Average duration of lactation at first calving heifers reared on graze was 359,47 days, duration of lactation at first calving heifers reared in stable was 329,01 days. Differences was statistically highly significant. From the linear description is clear that graze has positive effect on heifers muscling and limbs. In overall assessment made grazed heifers higher rating points 81,43 for heifers reared on graze and 81,00 point for heifers reared in stable. These differences could not be statistically demonstrated.
