Actual genuine realization of 10 steps to successful breast-feeding in hospital and terrain

Breast milk is one of the most precious gift that can mother give to her child. Therefore the mother's best choice is to breast-feed her child. It is very important to properly instruct the mothers to understand all advantages of breast-feeding and it's correct technique. Such a comprehensive information can be communicated only through precise methodical guidance during prenatal and postnatal period. The birth assistant represents significantly this field of activity for his/her imminent contact with mothers. He/she takes care of mother's and child's needs and realizes this care via nursing process. The thesis is focused on methodical recommendations which should support breast-feeding of carried to term newborns. First target of this thesis was to ascertain if the 10 steps to successful breast-feeding are implemented in the hospitals. Second target was to find out if the mothers are enabled to breast-feed their childern for the first time within an hour from delivery. Third target was to find out if the 10 steps for successful breast-feeding are also implemented in field. Fourth target was to find out how is the field education of mothers, concerning the 10 steps to successful breast-feeding, provided. There were following hypothesis determined: H1 - Genuine implementaiton of 10 steps for successful breast-feeding in hospitals corresponds with methodical recommendation as per WHO/UNICEF. H2 - Mothers are enabled to breast-feed their childern for the first time within an hour from delivery. Both theories have been confirmed through research.There were also asked following research questions:VO1 - Does the genuine implementation of 10 steps to successful breast-feeding in field correspond with methodical recommendations as per WHO/UNICEF? VO2 - What is the mother's opinion of implementation of 10 steps to successful breast-feeding in field? The quantitative research part was processed via questionnaires focused on mothers after delivery during they stay at Gynaecological-Obstetrical clinic of College hospital in Pilsen. For qualitative research part of the thesis was chosen a structured field conversation with mothers who were 6 months after delivery. The results of the research show that the 10 steps to successful breast-feeding is implemented indeed both in hospital and field. Mothers are allowed to breast-feed their childern within an hour from delivery. If the first breast-feeding hadn't been performed until one hour from delivery, mothers have been adquately informed how to stimulate and maintan lactation. Respondents in field declared that they were educated by nurse and pediatrician. All respondents in field coincident with opinion that implementation of 10 steps to successful breast-feeding is on high level. Results of reasearch may be a benefit and motivation for work of nursing personell of puerperium ward and rooming. Results may contribute to increase the quality of nursering care of breast-feeding mothers and newborns. In field can be results of the research used to increase the quality of mothers's training in breast-feeding both in pregnancy counsellings and prenatal courses. On the basis of this thesis results will be composed simple comprehensive manual, leaflet or web page which can be at mother's disposal by their attending gynaecologist, outpatient's department of maternity hospital, puerperium ward or at home via internet.
Satisfaction and work behaviour

A part of the work is a questionnaire survey aiming at assessment of general job satisfaction and the most important factors related to work behaviour.
Seniors´ expectations of the residential & nursing home from provided services

Residential & nursing home is a residence facility that provides its users a comprehensive day care. Range of basic activities that are provided to users of the facilities, is stipulated by the law No.108/2006 Coll., on social services. Needs are a part of everyone's life. The needs happen to get changed in old age. The aim of the thesis was to find out what similarities and differences in users' expectations from provided services are in the residential & nursing home for the elderly. To achieve the research project, the qualitative research strategy was used and method of questioning, using a semi-structured interview techniques was chosen. The research sample included four users living in residential & nursing home for the elderly in Chynov, p.o.The first partial research question dealt with what expectations users have in an area of satisfaction of biological needs in relation to the service offered. The respondents are satisfied with the accommodation. Only one of the respondents does not like the accommodation because he/she is not alone in a single room. The respondents are satisfied with meals. Respondents sleep well in the residential & nursing home. One of the respondents gets disturbed while sleeping by a room mate who gets up early.In the field of hygiene two respondents need an additional help of the staff. One respondent suffers from urinary incontinence. Three respondents use compensatory aid when walking. One of the participants of the research minds walking on the wet floor that is very slippery. Other respondents do not see any obstacles in the residential & nursing home that would worsen their movement. Among the most common health problems there are primarily diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Respondents are very satisfied with health care.The second partial research question was addressed to what users´ expectations are in an area of meeting the mental health needs in relation to the service offered. Two respondents from the home environment and others from some residential care came to a residential & nursing home for the elderly.All respondents would recommend other people to stay in a residential & nursing home for the elderly. The respondents' answers suggest that the staff respect their privacy and intimacy. Most often the respondents find information about events on the residential&nursing home on the bulletin board or ask nurses. One of the respondents said they he/she does not know where to get information.To the question of how the respondents feel at the residential & nursing home for the elderly, some responded that they feel comfortable and safe, and others consider their stay in the facility as a necessity. The third partial research question was addressed to what users´ expectations are as to an area of satisfaction of social needs in relation to the service offered.The staff treat users well. One of the respondents had a conflict with one sister some time ago. All participants of the research have established some new friendships. All respondents agreed that there are enough social events in the facility.Among the interests of leisure there are listening to the radio, reading books, doing crossword puzzles and watching TV. The fourth research question was addressed to what users´ expectations are as to meeting the spiritual needs in relation to the service offered. All but one respondent know that there are worships in the residential & nursing home. One respondent says that meeting the spiritual needs of the facility is taboo. Only one of the respondents attends worships regularly at the facility.The respondents' answers suggest that the most common desire is to have a good health as long as possible. One of the respondents would like a single room. One research participant is thinking about death and says that his wish is to go to sleep one day and wake up no more yet.
Motivational factors for sports activities for children floorball section

The thesis is focused on motivational factors in sports activities for the children of the floorball team of FBC Czech Krumlov. The aim is to find out what most motivates children about sports activities, what gives them the greatest enjoyment of the game and why they remain in this kind of sport. This thesis focuses on the children of primary school from 10 to 15 years of age. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with floorball, the history of this sport and the basic characteristics, further with characteristics of adolescence, the concept of motivation and sports psychology. The practical part is formed on the basis of the questionnaire survey where the questionnaires were the basis for the video (graphic) part. Survey results show motivational factors at children of the floorball team and they mean the base of recommendations for coaches, what motivational climate for these children should be chosen to improve their performance and enjoyment of the game.
Adaptation of the elderly in nursing home.

The bachelor thesis deals with the adaptation of the seniors in the Home for the elderly. Theoretically describes the old age, the changes that accompanied this period. There are several chapters that describe the importance of the family for the elderly person's, needs and communication with seniors. Chapter of social services offers us look at how to use social services and describes the social service, which is the main point of this thesis and this is the Home for the elderly. Most major point of the work is an adaptation in general, adaptation to old age and the process of adaptation of the elderly in a nursing home. My final thesis contains five case studies of selected clients home for seniors that offers us various stories of clients and its adaptation to stay at the facility. In the conclusion summarizes the adaptation that is at various clients and factors that lead to success or failure of adaptation.
The Fulfilment of physiological Needs of Child in Kindergarten

This thesis deals with the significance meeting the physiological needs of children in kindergarten. The theoretical part is focused on the description of the child's needs from the perspective of psychologists, pediatricians, and educators. Indicates the conditions contained in the education in Frame Educational Programme for Pre-school Education. Highlights the importance of effective communication as a basic tool in meeting the physiological needs of the child in kindergarten. Reminds consequences of non-fulfillment of needs of the child in kindergarten. Practikal part is focused on tracing the use of effective communication teacher and non-teaching personnel in connection with the fulfillment of physiological needs of the child in the mode of kindergarten.
Ethical-psychological Contexts of a Relationship between a Social Worker And a Client

The thesis reflects a relationship between a social worker and a client within ethical-psychological contexts and provides understanding of its significance. It gives an insight into conditions for establishing an optimum relationship between a social worker and a client and into risks that may disturb the mutual relationship, especially the risk of power. The terms of social worker, client and their relationship are characterized in terms of professional ethics. If an ethical reflection is to be competent, it is to cover psychological knowledge such as human needs, incentives and motives for acting. To conclude, ethical solutions a social worker should take into account in relation to a client are defined. These are human dignity, respect, autonomy, responsibility, dependency and vulnerability.
The daily regime of the preschool child after returning home from kindergarten, from the parents´ point of view.

My bachelor work "The day regime of a child at preschool age after coming from nursery home from the parents? point of view" in its theoretical part covers, on general level, specifications and needs of the preschool age. In a narrow point of view it concerns the day regime, rituals as well as changes of lifestyle. The goal of my work was to map children?s day regime from parents? point of view showing if they have suitable daily routine, what it looks like and what influences it. To reach the goal I used qualitative researches. To be concrete I used half-structured interview. All the interviews with parents took place in South Bohemia. From all the interviews it results that the parents try to have some regime, but the children miss the grandparents? presence as well as everyday games with fathers. The children watch TV too much and they attend higher number of interest groups.
The Adaptation of Preschool Children to School in a Countryside

The aim of this disertation is to find out, how children of pre-school age integrate into a school in countryside. It is also to identify existing complications, which can interfere and affect the childern?s behaviour in this environment, to focus on avoiding or eliminating these problems. The theoretical part is aimed at describing the camp?s environment with focus being on the benefits to its attendees. The next stage is devoted to outlining the broad characteristics of the pre-school period and it?s development plan. The summary describes the adaptation process, its forms, issues and any influencing factors. The practical part is focused on the research made for finding out the most common issues within adaptation whilst spending long periods of time away from home, how to avoid them, or at least eliminate them. A method of discussion and analysis of documentation was used based on a yearly observation of the children in the school in countryside.
Neds of women with gestational diabetes mellitus

The thesis is focused on the needs of women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. The survey was carried out in the hospital, in Ceske Budejovice, in the department of risk pregnancies and in the gynecological surgery of Dr. Výborné in Ceske Budejovice. The research method was qualitative. It was conducted in the form of interviews with women who attended the department of risk pregnancies and who have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and also in the gynecological surgery.The information was then processed into short case studies. The thesis had three goals. The first objective was to determine what are the needs of women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. The second objective was to determine how women, who have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, follow and comply with the prescribed diets. The third objective was to determine what information is known to the women who have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. Based on these findings, 3 research questions have been specified. The first research question was concerned with the needs of pregnant women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. The second research question was concerned with the appropriate food for women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. The third research question was concerned with the awareness of women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. One of the objectives was to find out what are the needs of women with Gestational Diabetes. All three women responded that there was a great need for good nutrition. The need for sleep, was for all the women about the same, they sleep up to 8-9 hours per day. The need for movement is very important for Mrs. Jane, Mrs. Petra avoids extensive physical excercise due to an adverse gynecological finding and Mrs. Ivana prefers family walks in the nature. Another objective was to find out how Mrs. Jana, Mrs. Petra and Mrs. Ivana follow and keep to the dietary regime. Answer to the question of how they have changed their eating habits, Mrs. Petra said , that she has had a problem with limiting sugars, but after a few days she got used to it and she drinks mostly water and unsweetened tea. Mrs. Jana had no problem with it, she has small children and she cooks light meals for them and she eats with them. She didn't have to alter her eating habits too much, she only left out some types of fruits. Mrs. Ivana had no problem in changing the diet, as even before she was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, she ate lots of vegetables and poultry meat and very rarely ate sweet things.The third objective, which was to determine how informed are the women with regards to the Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, has been fulfilled. When asked, what and when do they receive most most information, all three women agreed. In the first instance Mrs. Jana received the information from her doctor in the surgery and after that from the midwife. Mrs. Petra was first given information by the doctor in gynecological surgery and at the same time by the midwife and immediately after that she had been transferred to the Diabetologist, where she went for a monthly check up. The Diabetologists gave Mrs. Petra information about the appropriate food and distribution of the food during the day. Mrs. Ivana got her first information and practical advice from her doctor in the gynecological surgery, then she was transferred to the care of the Diabetologist, where she was given, appart from the information, also leaflets about suitable food composition and appropriate diet during her treatment of diabetes.
