Currently the most widely used methods of conversion of the biomass to various forms of energy, from burning to anaerobic digestion are described here. This work adverts to use the biomass not only in energetics, but also in the transport industry, as alternative fuel of vehicle engines. It describes not only the production of bioethanol from organic material, but also the techniques of hydrogen production as the fuel of future, and its use in fuel cells.
Comparative analysis of current approaches to planting short rotation coppice in the Czech Republic and European Union countries
Pastýříková, Jana ; Macháč, Jan (advisor) ; Sunega, Petr (referee)
The short rotation coppice production presents an important renewable natural resource. With respect to growing interest of society in the environmental sustainability there is general importance of coppice plantation. The plantation establishment is investment with a long payback. Therefore, decision has to be made whether this reality is favou-rable for the farmers and does not discourage them from this kind of non-food produ-cing land usage. The assessment of this hypothesis is based on the comparative analysis of Czech, Germany and Swedish models of plantations profitability. As a result, taking advantage of the subsidies is in place considering the negative results of Czech Republic profit. Germany and Sweden produce a positive profit even without any subsidies con-sidered. The comparison would have to be extended by the costs of foregone oppor-tunities factor to be able to consider the need of subsidies in such countries
Design for heating system and domestic water heating in a family house
PETROVIČ, Jakub
Based on the requirements of the project, the work deals with the design of the heating system in the model low-energy family house by the help of heat pump (air / water) and solar collectors, which will be a supporting element for the heat pump. As a bivalent heat source will be used electric patrons. The design incorporates a measurement and control of heating and hot water. Everything with the help of the freely programmable control UVR 1611and suitably selected control elements. The final section is devoted to the estimation of purchase costs, operating costs and return on whole investment
Management services in the power engineering
BÁRTOVÁ, Zuzana
The work deals with the electricity sector. It falls into the network industries together with the gas industry and telecommunications. Electricity sector is part of the power engineering and involves the generation, transmission, distribution and use of electrical energy. The work is territorially defined only in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of services, customers, markets, marketing mix of services, using of information technology in services and power engineering. The practical part deals with performing the analysis. The analysis is divided into three main parts. The first part consists of an analysis of the historical development of electricity price since 2006, the development of services in the energy sector and the current range of services for the suppliers and the final customers of electricity. The second part consists of an analysis of the external environment, marketing mix of services in the power engineering and communication processes between a customer and a supplier. The third part is devoted to the topic of energy audits, license of the energy demands of buildings (hereinafter referred to as license) and renewable resources of energy. In the conclusion is questionnaire survey, which is deeply devoted to the issue of license, both in terms of awareness of the energy demands of buildings, and in terms of its desirability.
Economy of fast-growing woody species
Levý, Lukáš ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Gaspár, Ladislav (referee)
The thesis is focused on analyzing and evaluation of importance and potential of fast-growing woody species for specifics of Czech economy and local conditions. Thesis will inquire into applicability of each fast-growing species for Czech natural conditions. Further I will investigate opportunities of subvention from public authorities. Next part of thesis will be focused on all activities and processes during cultivation of fast-growing species from acquiring land to processing of wooden mass. For each activity will quantify costs of labor and physical capital during cultivation of fast-growing woody species for different subjects in Czech economy, like household owning a soil or company with unused outside areas. Thesis will be comparing possible energetic savings of profits for a number of alternatives with different energy prices development in ongoing years. Practical output of this thesis should not be only the compilation of all these information into one text, but above all also a complex formula which everyone can use for the calculation of his opportunities for cultivating of fast-growing woody species.
Regional aspects of using the renewable resources in Mladá Boleslav
Dobiášová, Jana ; Postránecký, Josef (advisor) ; Soják, Jiří (referee)
This thesis describes the issue of renewable sources of energy in Mladá Boleslav and its surroundings, with a more narrow focus on the use of biomass. The main goal is to establish conditions of biomass in terms of its location, demand, and linkages to other sectors in the region. The general concepts in law and specifically in renewable energy laws, policies and directives given to the theoretical part. The nationwide perspective, describe the most important types of renewable resources that have potential or are currently being used in terms of media topics. The practical part of the region defined by Mladá Boleslav, whose character is construed narrowly, since it is aimed to assess the assumptions, uses different types of renewable energy in the region, or hydropower, solar, wind, geothermal energy, and especially biomass. Subsequently, the link between regional bodies, which grow biomass, body and handle it, and those who use it. This is particularly the potential treatment of residual or excess crop production for the purposes of electricity generation in biogas plants, home heating and production of biofuels. A separate section of the work is devoted to the important regional environmental agency, SKO-ENERGO Ltd., which supplies power and heat in the car factory as well as the majority of households in Mladá Boleslav. There are highlighted the benefits and importance of the statutory town, assessed the link between the heat station and the automaker, reported collaboration with other organizations and projects that SKO-ENERGO, Ltd. contributes to local regional development. Finally, it is evaluated the use of local support for renewable sources of public administration, compared with the Regional Energy Policy of the city Mladá Boleslav and proposed solutions for improvement. The text is clearly accompanied by maps, charts and cartograms.
The strategy of an enterpreneur conducting business in the field of renewable resources
Kořínková, Martina ; Filipová, Alena (advisor) ; Zeman, Jiří (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I deal with the issue of renewable resources of energy (renewables), with their position in the energetic sector of economy and try to show their possible uses in the Czech Republic and also in the European Union. In the first part, I introduce the most common types of renewables, present their development and also summarize their positive and negative features. Further, I deal with directory statutes of the EU and Czech law concerning renewables, including the financial grant system. In the second part, I focus on necessary steps for a potential entrepreneur in energetics. I use the example of a real project of a small-scale hydro-electric plant to express what an enterpreneur should be ready for while doing business.
Subvention of renewable resources of energy in the Czech republic
Plačková, Andrea ; Šauer, Petr (advisor) ; Lejnarová, Šárka (referee)
The worldwide growing consumption of energy forces us to think about how to avoid a possible energetic crisis and its economic and social impacts. One way to avoid the threat is a higher use of energy from renewable resources along with rational consumption of energy. The goal of my diploma work is to evaluate whether the State should support the development in technologies gaining energy from renewable resources and also to evaluate the efficiency of public funds (financial resources) invested in this way. In the first part of my diploma work, I will focus on individual renewable resources in general, clarify their advantages, disadvantages and compare the use of renewable resources in the Czech Republic with the States of the European Union. I will also introduce the legislative structure, out of which the state support of renewable resources results and following on, will make an analysis of the efficiency of this support. The main contribution of my diploma work is the evaluation of State support to the renewable resources of energy.
