Interurban structure analysis of Zlin
HANZALOVÁ, Adriana
This thesis analyzes Zlin's internal structure. In the beginning, there is an analysis and a discucion about city areal's literature. This section also presents the methodological basis of the thesis, including the used data. The first chapter is analytical and introduces characteristics of the geographical environment of the city, describing the geological, climatic and hydrological conditions. It also describes the characteristics of the population, economy, transport and recreation in the city. In this chapter attention is paid to the history of the town itself. A key part is to analyze the spatial structure of the city i.e. genetic-morphological, functional and socio-demographic, based on the area's pictures analysis including census's data. Very important part are outcomes provided from the map which show the studied area from the spatial dimension.

The role of radiology in children hip screening in Pelhřimov Hospital, c. o.
CHADIMOVÁ, Jana
The topic of this thesis is to compare the use of imaging methods in children hip screening and to find out the presence of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in Pelhřimov Hospital. DDH is the most common musculoskeletal developmental defect which affects approximately 5% of newborns. It includes an impaired development of acetabulum, femoral head, poor centering into the acetabulum or disproportionate extent of joint movement. DDH is being formed by interaction of genetic factors and external causes. If DDH occurs in the family, the risk neonate increases significantly. The most serious stage of this defect is hip dislocation, but we often meet a lighter form of this defect, which is called shallow acetabulum. The Czech Republic established a system of consecutive check-ups of neonates and infants. It was created on the base of Methodological Sheet of the Ministry of Health from 1996. These examinations are carried out in three stages. During these examinations, ultrasound plays a very important role. The most common method, also used in Pelhřimov Hospital, is the method of Austrian professor Graf. This method evaluates findings and classifies them into groups. After the first year of age, when ossification of structures is nearly completed, the findings cannot be evaluated by this method. X-ray examination is applied in case of diagnostic uncertainties - especially when planning subsequent treatment in children with DDH diagnosis. Imaging methods are applied to determine anatomical reposition obstacles after an unsuccessful primary reposition. We can use ultrasound, magnetic resonance, but we prefer arthrography. Arthrography is more invasive method, but unlike the others, it has got an important advantage: it can also be a therapeutic method. The theoretical part deals with anatomy, development and growth of the hip joint. I also present etiology and history of this developmental defect. The following part deals with a description of the system of clinical check-ups and diagnostics of DDH. Another part of the theoretical work is devoted to individual imaging modalities - ultrasound, X-ray, magnetic resonance and arthrography. Imaging modalities are a very specific part of radiodiagnostic. Paediatric patients are not small adults, their imaging should be restricted to a minimum and it has got its own specifics. The examination must be performed quickly and accurately, in order not to have to be repeated. Options of therapy varies according to the severity of the hip joint. A small damage of the hip joint is solved by a conservative way using various abduction tools like abduction package, Frejk duvet or Pavlík calipers. More serious cases need to be solved by hospitalization, using distraction therapy or surgery. The aim of this work was to analyze the number of paediatric patients, to find out what kind of imaging methods were indicated and performed and to compare the presence of congenital defect of the hip according to sex within Pelhřimov Hospital. The hypothesis of this thesis was formulated as follows: In paediatric hip screening examination in Pelhřimov Hospital presence of congenital defect of the hip is higher in girls than in boys. The purpose of this thesis was to create a comprehensive text dealing with the use of imaging methods in detecting developmental defects of paediatric hip. The theoretical part of this work may serve as information material for professionals and the results can be used as statistical material.

Obstacles in the lives for those with Von Hippel Lindau disease.
ŠEREDOVÁ, Eva
Morbus Von Hippel Lindau (VHL) is still an unkonwn term for many people. It refers to a genetic oncological desease affecting 1/39000 to 1/50000 persons. VHL is connected with a great deal of manifestation. It is a disease with a very unstable prognosis. Those diagnosed with VHL require medical care by a large number of specialists. However, an early detection may significantly improve the quality of patients´ life. The disease is manifestated by numerous negative side effects, which is the main topic of my bachelor thesis. The research deals with "Obstacles in the lives for those with Von Hippel Lindau disease." and identification of bio-psycho-social effects of the disease on the respondents and their families. Additionally, identification of negative factors that can influence the respondents´ lives. The research is based on four issues: What are the biological effects of the disease? What are the psychological effects of the disease? What are the social effects of the disease? What are the negative factors affecting the lives of respondents? The research part of the thesis results from a qualitative survey accompanied by the method of semistructured individual detailed interviews and case histories. The respondents of the survey are two women diagnosed with VHL, one of their close family members and a specialist taking care of the women the chief nurse of Ophalmology Department in Faculty Hospital in Brno. The survey was made in Jihlava and Brno. The answers recorded in pen and drafted in schemes in particular gave a comprehensive view of the most significant effects. The results showed that the disease can influence not only the biological aspect of patients diagnosed with VHL but also the social and mental one. The former mainly results from the variability of the disease. Both women account pain, dispepsia, pancreatic cysts and hemangioblastoma. Moreover, the respondent 1 reports progressive hamengioma retina resulting in the loss of eyesight and the respondent 2 serious DM and trombofilia. Naturally, these handicaps have effects on the social life of both respondents namely the loss of job. This refers to the respondent 1 due to the loss of her eyesight. Both report restraints in social activities, relationships and minimizing contacts with their friends. According to the survey results the mental effect is more or less the same for both the respondents, yet the least important. They mention mainly fears, hopelessness, determination and distrust. Other negative factors affecting the respondents´ lives are insecurity, isolation, lack of knowledge of the disease and stigma. The results showed the biological effect of the disease as the most significant followed by the social and psychological ones. The interviews proved that both laymen and professionals have inadequate knowledge about the disease which, in the Czech Republic, has very rarely been researched while foreign servers offer quite extensive studies on this issue. Especially in the US there are specialized clinics treating patients diagnosed with VHL which is, of course, a result of a large number of patients concentrated in this large territory. Thus, these factors enable patients be centred in specialized clinics. This bachelor thesis may be regarded as a comprehensive study of Von Hippel-Lindau disease. The output of the practical part is an information manual about this disease.

Genetická a morfologická variabilita skupiny \kur{Melampyrum nemorosum}
DRAHNÍK, Petr
Melampyrum nemorosum agg. is very complicated group of hemiparasitic plants. According to the traditional concept, 15 species is distinguished. Recent molecular analyses show a need of critical taxonomic revision of group and a potential importance of ancient hybridization. Analysis of 3 regions of cpDNA (trnTUGU-trnLUAA, psbA-trnHGUG, rpl32-trnLUAG) and 2 regions of nuclear DNA (Agt1 and At103) reveals well supported lineage with limited geographical distribution. Morphology and genome size of genetically supported lineages were compared.

Ecology of Veliidae and Mesoveliidae (Heteroptera: Gerromorpha)in Central Europe
DITRICH, Tomáš
Ecology of Veliidae and Mesoveliidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Gerromorpha) was studied in selected European species. The research of these non-gerrid semiaquatic bugs was especially focused on voltinism, overwintering with physiological consequences and wing polymorphism with dispersal pattern. Hypotheses based on data from field surveys were tested by laboratory, mesocosm and field experiments. New data on life history traits and their ecophysiological consequences are discussed in seven original research papers (four published journal papers, two submitted papers and one communication in conference proceedings), creating core of this thesis.

Nurses Suffering from Psoriasis
ONDRÁČKOVÁ, Andrea
Psoriasis is a non-infectious inflammation with the genetic disposition. It is a chronic inflammatory disease connected with the accelerated reproduction of skin cells whose cause has not been recognized yet. According to various sources it afflicts 2-3% of the Central European population in different forms including the most serious cases which can affect with the intensive inflammation the entire skin surface. There are several types of psoriasis and they differ with the intensity and the symptoms. The disease shows a red marked area covered with silver white scales of dead cells. Psoriasis does not belong to cases which endanger our life but it enormously influences the physical, psychic and social aspects of the life. The content of the Bachelor work is focused on the issue of psoriasis at general nurses who work in this medical profession. The work is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains available information on psoriasis from history, disease characteristics, nurse´s role during the nursing process and selected types of treatment. Further, it involves summary of nurses diagnoses of people suffering from psoriasis and the issues of life quality which is undoubtedly affected a lot. In the research ? empiric part of the work the inquiry was carried out with the qualitative method. Data were collected by using the technique of an anonymous, individual, in-depth and non-standardized interview with respondents ? general nurses suffering with psoriasis. The aim of the work was to find out how psoriasis influences the nurses´ professional life. The research questions dealt with the general information about the nurse as a patient, with work limitations, stigmatisation from patients and the staff and with the influence of the medical environment on worsening psoriasis symptoms. The research showed that psoriasis does not influence quality nursing care and that this disease influences the private life more than the professional one. The results of the research compile an information leaflet from which patients can find out, that they do not have to be afraid of nurses suffering from psoriasis and that their disease does not affect their nursing care. Another contribution of the work lies in a printed article which enables the general public to get the information.

Forensic ballistics
Votava, Milan ; Štourač, Petr (advisor) ; Musil, Jan (referee)
- 1 - 9. Abstract Forensic ballistics The goal of this thesis is to initiate readers into the branch of criminalistic or forensic ballistics and to its basic terminology. It is not possible to compile this theme at full length, there is no sufficient space for it, therefore I offer professional minimum of criminalistic ballistics. The fundamental purpose of my thesis is to afford the complex view of problems of modern forensic ballistics. The thesis is composed of introduction, six chapters, conclusion and supplements. Introduction defines short acquaintance with theme and with reasons why I decided on the subject of criminalistic ballistics. The following chapter "Historic development of fire arms" features history of weapons or fire arms. The subchapter "Historical development of forensic ballistics" includes the development of the branch abroad and in the territory of late Czechoslovakia too, including the well-known case of manslaughter of countess Windischgrätz. The chapter "Conception of forensic ballistics and its signification" illustrates basic division of criminalistic ballistics, then illustrates objects of investigation and occurrence of ballistics clues. The chapter named "Categories of object in ballistics investigation" is divided into three subchapters and readers can learn basic dividing of...

Molekulární fylogeneze a genetická diverzita nejbližších příbuzných rodu Pisum
Bačovská, Nela
Phylogenetics has given us a unique possibility to learn the history of species evolution and their interconnection on the planet. Our earlier relience only on outter morphological features for taxon classification is now being completed and even replaced by molecular-biological studies for clarification. It is possible to use our knowledge when searching for geographical origins of organisms, their expansion and change of genetic information, which are all the needed foundations for species diversification. In this work we used the family Fabaceae for the study of evolutionary genetics. Then we chose Lathyrus neurolobus for further examination of the potential use of SSR and iPBS markers for Pisum intergenus studies.
