Christian Holidays and their meaning in education

The bachelor's thesis "Perception of the meaning of Christian holidays and traditions through the eyes of elementary school students" deals with the topic of celebrating Christian holidays and traditions. The work deals with the significance of holidays as such for culture and society. Thesis mainly focused on the Christmas holidays, which were the subject of my research. I set out two research questions for my bachelor's thesis. Are customs and traditions maintained in families these days? Does the perception of traditions and customs change with the age of the child? The research problem was solved with primary school students in Záhoří. The research was conducted on the basis of anonymous questionnaires. From the analysis of the questionnaires, children's awareness of traditions related to the Christmas holidays and observance of rituals and customs in families was mapped.
Moral profile of a social worker as a prerequisite for the quality of social work

The master thesis examines the moral profile of a social worker in the course of working with Roma clients in Strakonice. Fundamental terms related to the focus of the work including morality, prerequisites for performing work in helping professions, comparison of value orientation of the majority society and the Roma population, as well as the specifics of social work with this target group are defined. Furthermore, the meaning of ethics in the life of the majority society and the Roma ethnic group is identified. The main goal, the reflection of the moral profile of a social worker as an indespensable condition for the quality of social work in conjuction with the description of possible confrontation of values, is achieved with literature review and summarization of findings revealed by the individual research. Semi-structured interviews with six social workers were implemented to assemble data. The interviews took place in three workplaces in Strakonice.
Reflection of values during social work with Roma adolescents at risk

The master's thesis, titled "Reflection of social workers' and Roma clients' values in a selected low-threshold facility for children and youth with regard to their potential value conflict," explores different understandings of values. It provides a comprehensive reflection on the individual values that emerge in interventions with Roma at-risk youth. The thesis explains general concepts related to the issue, describes the characteristics of the Roma ethnicity and youth who visit the facility, and presents the values of the organization, clients, and social workers themselves, including a view of the social worker's personality. The final section is devoted to the value conflicts that can arise in the relationship between the organization, social workers, and clients. It addresses the sensitive perception of professional and personal values among the workers of the selected low-threshold facility, and interprets the results of a survey conducted among workers and clients. The situations are depicted in specific areas, and insights from professional literature are supplemented with examples from the author's own practice.

Burnout syndrome in relation to interpersonal values and meaningfulness

The topic of this diploma thesis is the issue of burnout syndrome in correlation to meaningfulness and interpersonal values in a population of general nurses at psychiatric wals and subsequently in the population of unemployed people. Main goal of this research was to determine the degree of correlation between meaningfulness and individual dimensions of burnout syndrome and to identify which interpersonal values correlate with individual dimensions of burnout syndrome in a positive or negative way. Theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to definition of burnout syndrome, meaningfulness and interpersonal values. For empirical part of this research we have used Maslach Burnout Invertory recognizing the degree of burnout syndrome in following dimensions: emotional and physical exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment. Furthermore, Scale of life meaningfulness (Škála životnej zmysluplnosti) has been used to assess a degree of meaningfulness and SIPO inventory to assess interpersonal orientation and values. Results of this study prove the relation between burnout syndrome and meaningfulness. Life strories of illegal drug users

The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of the basic concepts of drugs, their history and division and the addiction syndrome. The next chapter is devoted to the family. The following chapters deal with human values and quality of life. The aim of the practical part is to know in detail the life stories of abstinent drug users. To find out the reasons why the respondents started using drugs, what their life was like at the time of use, what was behind the decision to abstain and how they recovered from drug addiction. Narrative analysis is used for the research where the narrative is in the hands of the respondents as unstructured interviews are used to collect data. The interviews are analyzed separately, but also information that is repeated in the interviews is analyzed.
Probe into the soul of a lifetime scout

The thesis gives a perspective on life seen through the Scout's eyes. It deals with the life and the thinking of the people who were or have been active members of this movement. The practical part of the thesis focuses, through eight narrative interviews, on the experience of the Scout movement members and the subjective purpose of their own experience throughout their life. It describes as well what these individuals have found within the movement, what they have identified or conversely disagreed with and what values and approaches they prefer in their lives. The practical part seeks the essence of something that a Scout's soul is comprised of, it means, what makes a Scout a Scout. The analysis of individual interviews exposed several topics and subtopics, where the correlation between them was examined. These topics turned into a syllabus or basis for the theoretical part, where it was described and clarified to the reader with the help of the reference literature.
Organizational culture in charitable organisation on the example of the ČCE Diakonia Rolnička center in Soběslav

The thesis deals with the oranizational culture of Diakonia's Rolnička centre. The first part of the BA thesis is devoted to the theory of organizational culture. It demarcates the very notion of organizational culture, its history, types, and forms. The thesis then moves on to address Diakonia, its development, forms, and culture. Special attention is paid to the Rolnička centre, one of the parts of Diakonia, its history and the services offered. The research part of the thesis focuses on an analysis of the organizational culture of the Rolnička centre. A fair part of the research investigates whether the written language of the organizational culture corresponds to the way in which they are understood and put into practice. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of the data provided by the research part.

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of signifiant factors influencing the final solution of ethical dilemmas in Hospice Care St. Kleofáše, o.p.s. The thesis provides an overview of the specifics of hospice care and non-profit organization Hospice St. Kleofáše, o.p.s. The aim is to find out signifiant factors influence the solution of ethical dilemmas in this organization and which of the identified factors coincide with selected values from the Code of Ethics for Hospice Employees. The diploma thesis describes hospice care, social work in a mobile hospice, ethical issues and selected values from the Code of Ethics for Hospice Employees. It also describes the process of identifying factors influencing ethical dilemmas and the results of semi-structured interviews. The aim of the work is to show the issue of decision-making ethical dilemmas.
Youth orientation visiting low-threshold facilities for children and young people in relation to values

The thesis deals with the value orientation of adolescents attending low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The theoretical part characterizes the period of adolescence, defines the concept of value and describes the phenomena that influence the formation of values. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents the value orientation of youth in other research and describes low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The practical part contains quantitative research, the main aim of which was to determine the value orientation of adolescents attending low-threshold facilities for children and youth. Other objectives were to find out how young people understand the concepts of religion, faith, God and how they approach the issue of helping others.
