Free time programs for Roma

The bachelor thesis introduces various organizations that deal with the problematics of the Roma ethnic group. It is focused on the contemporary situation of the Roma and for Roma organisations in the Czech Republic, their provided services and the way of their financial support. The work also gives information of the representative organizations which provide mainly free time programs for Roma kids and teenagers and it introduces their particular activities. The essential meaning of streetwork and the institutions focused on the children and teenagers from the socially weak environment is explained here as well. The problematics of Roma children educational proces is also mentioned. The practical part of the thesis concentrates on the Daytime centre for the kids and teenagers in Žďár nad Sázavou. Its contemporary condition and merit of the programmes are evaluated here.
Developmental Trends in the Field of Early Care

This thesis dealt with trends within early intervention programs. Early intervention is a social service aimed at helping familimies and children with developmental delays or disabilities since birthday till the age of 7 years. It is a field service with vast majority of work being done within family environment, rarely accompanied by an ambulance service. This provides a great benefit, as is mentioned in theoretical part of thesis. Multitude of new developments concerning education, financing or work itself happened in the last couple years. The theoretical part of thesis defines the early intervention itself, or "early care" in some Czech translations, as well as its history. Methods for client service are described as well. The main objective of this thesis is to describe main changes that happened within in several South Bohemia early intervention centers in the last 10 years. This goal should provide a summary of both operational and financial challenges as well as new early intervention methods for better work with client himself. The practical part of this uses a qualitative approach. A semi-structured interview consisting of 10 questions is employed, with 5 professionals from early intervention care from 3 centers in South Bohemia as respondents. Their professions are described in order to compare differences between opinions of administrative workers and care assistants. The interview was most concerned with changed made because of new trends, and whether those were concerned to be positive or negative. Answers were analyzed with the use of clustering method. In conclusion, vast differences were observed in early intervention field 10 years ago and today. Both methods of financing and education of assistants as well as enlargement of number of workers or capacity of centers changed greatly within the past decade. The results could be used as feedback for early intervention centers and students concerned with this particular field of social care.
The burnout syndrome in field social work

The work deals with burnout in the field social work. In the first chapter of the theoretical part characterizes the field social work, its objectives, target groups and activities undertaken by social workers. It also describes the stressful aspects associated with the exercise of the profession. The second chapter discusses burnout. This phenomenon here defines, describes risk factors that may affect the syndrome, its typical symptoms, development, and ways to prevent it. The practical part presents the results of a survey aimed at identifying the degree of endangerment field social workers burnout, mapping prevention and finding what they perceive demanding in their profession.
Harm reduction services in the Czech republic and abroad.

Bachelor thesis on Harm reduction services in the Czech Republic and abroad theme is focused on methods to reduce the risk of drug addicts. It deals with the description of the various services offered in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, United States of America and the Russian Federation. In the thesis explains the concept of harm reduction, principles, strategies and attitudes. I deal with the concept of prevention and drugs that are inherent to components of harm reduction. The work is led by a theoretical order to compare services offering methods to reduce risk across the different countries. Describes various services such as needle and syringe exchange, testing for STDs , condom distribution and other ways to reduce risks in the drug scene. In the Czech Republic these services take place most often in areas of contact centers, where social workers caring for clients with drug addictions who are currently unable or unwilling to abstain or in their natural environment by the outreach services. In this work, I tried to take into account the findings of work in the KC Prevent , o.s. , KC Kotec, o.s. , Doléčovací zařízení Prevent , o.s. , Adiktologická poradna Prevent , o.s.
Street Social Work As One of Possible Forms of Precautions of Socially Pathological Phenomenon With the Specialization in Non-European Union Foreigners Living In the Area of Plzeň City.

The work deals with the methodology of street social work with the specialization in target group of the Third World foreigners. The work has theoretical-empirical character. The theoretical part explains basic terms related with this issue, it describes the social work, concerns its methodology, target groups, street social worker and his authority and skills. The important chapters are dedicated to the social work with migrants and description of the foreign communities. Empirical part of the work is focused on the interpretation of practical experiences with the methodology of street social work with the Third World foreigners. These data are based on the implementation of the street social work with immigrants in the area of Plzeň city alone.
Field social work/consultancy in Pilsen

The aim of this work is to describe the field of social work with socially excluded people and associated problems and strengths, including the implications arising from this experience for users of the services and its providers, and practice in specific conditions and locations in the Pilsen region. The introductory theoretical part describes the general background of social field work, it defines the concept of the term social exclusion, and locations in Pilsen are presented (for example Jateční, Plachého, Resslova Street and others) with the specification of problems and needs of clients in those locations. The practical part is realized by expert interviews with social workers from the organization People in Need in Pilsen, and their aim is the definition of problematic lines of work. Questions focus on to measure the sense of meaning and satisfaction for social workers, whether their work meets the target of service, or what the objectives of services prevent, where social workers see the limitations of their work and whether the problems couldn´t be influenced by their activities.
The Importance of social fieldwork for Romany community in South Bohemian region

The Bachelor´s thesis deals with social fieldwork in relationship with Romany users. It is dividend into a theoretical part and an applied part. In the theoretical part there are Romany community, history of this community and problems with social segregation characterised. There are specifics of social fieldwork with Romany minority like the one of possible methods of social work. In the study there are some problem areas in the life of Romanies in the context of social fieldwork. In the last chapter there is mentioned how social fieldwork in South Bohemian region works. The main purpose of the practical part of the thesis was to find out the importance of social fieldwork for Romanies. The research was made through interview in three cities of the South Bohemian region, in Milevsko, Písek and České Budějovice. Both social fieldworkers and their Romany clients were asked questions. The interviews were evaluated in the result presentation and after that summarized in the final discussion.

It submits possibilities of parts of social worker in crisis intervention in specialist literature. The practical part connected with theoretical part and summerizes results of inquire about a part of social worker in crisis intervention in workplaces of crisis intervention.
