Novotný, Jakub
The bachelor thesis concerns reproductive performance of maternal breeds of pigs. To begin with, there is mentioned the significance of pig breeding, especially in relation to reproductive performance. Afterwards the reproductive attributes as milkiness and fertility and factors affecting the performance are analysed. And finally, there is defined the characteristic of maternal breeds of pigs including their super-prolific lines and the control of reproductive performance in the Czech Republic in the period of 2010-2016.
Analýza faktorov ovplyvňujúcich reprodukčnú úžitkovosť prasníc a straty prasiatok
Kováčiková, Vilma
The master´s thesis analyzes factors impacting on efficiency of sows and mortality of piglets. The data evaluated in this thesis comes from 54 sows and 513 piglets they farrowed. It focuses on impact of particular factors on length of meantime, order of litters, birth weight of piglets, litter size, hybrid combination and individuality of the boar. Longer meantime have shown a trend of increased number of stillborn pigs and higher parity has shown shortening of meantime. Statistically highly demonstrable difference (p < 0,01) can be seen between the sixth and higher litters and the third litter. Statistically demonstrable difference can be seen between the fifth and the third litter (p < 0,05). Higher birth weight has shown decreased losses of piglets. At the same time a negative correlation has been observed between the litter size and the birth weight, resulting in proving a statistically highly demonstrable difference in the number of all born, live born and weaned piglets between the group of the heaviest subjects and the groups of lighter ones. While observing differences in hybrid combinations (CLW x CL) x CLW sire line and (CLW x CL) x D, considerably higher losses of piglets have been observed in the first group and while observing the impact of individual boars, notable differences in weight and losses of young pigs have been observed.
Analýza reprodukční užitkovosti prasnic ve vybraném chovu
Hajátková, Iveta
The aim of this diploma thesis was to analyze reproductive performance of sows in the selected breed. In this breed, data was collected in the year 2016 and early 2017. The basic statistical characteristics were monitored for the number of all pigs born, the number of live births and the number of weaned piglets evaluated for the influence of litter rank and the influence of the boar used. The test data was tested by paired t-test. The total number of sows with reproductive parameters was number 63. The number of live piglets in the monitored period was 12.9 pieces / litter. The indicator of the number of weaned piglets was 11.9 pieces / litter. The highest average number of live-born piglets was 36 for boar, but for the change had the highest piglet losses against other boars. The litter's influences on the number of live-born piglets was 12.8 pieces / litter in the 2nd litter and in the 3rd litter 13.5 pieces / litter, this difference was statistically significant. It follows that the highest average number of live piglets in litter rank was reached on the third litter order.
Analýza faktorů ovlivňujících reprodukční užitkovost prasnic v podmínkách užitkového chovu
Bezděková, Tereza
The aim of the diploma thesis was to analyse the factors affecting the reproductive performance of sows in the conditions of farming. Self-monitoring of awakening in selected pig breeding, data for evaluation was published in PIGMATIC. The period from 2016 to 2018 was selected for evaluation. Sows were Topigs genotype and boars of BO x PN genotype were embedded. In terms of the reproductive indicators there were evaluated successful insemination and the frequency of piglets, the number of all piglets born, the number of alive and stillborn piglets and the number of piglets weaned. It was evaluated according to the order of the reproduction indicator. Furthermore, an assessment was conducted in accordance with the parity and the specific causes of the elimination. It can be stated from the evaluation of the achieved results that the company has average reproductive performance and the litter order has a significant influence on the litter size. The best reproductive parameters were achieved in 2018, namely 14.7 of all births, 13.3 live births and 11.5 weaned piglets per litter. The stillborn piglets averaged 8.22% in 2016, 9.78% in 2017 and 9.39% of the litter in 2018. In 2016, the number of born piglets in the 4th litter, in 2017 in the 7th litter and in 2018 in the 5th in the year of litter increased in the number of all born piglets. In the case of older sows, the number of piglets born decreased. In evaluating the success of the insemination, it can be said that the best results were achieved in 2016, when 89.5% of the total number of admitted breeders took over. The worst results were achieved in 2017, when 86.2% of the total number of admitted sows were pregnant. Despite this, it means good sowing of sows mainly due to the successful search for rut and proper insemination techniques. The sows in the observed breed were better with young from the 8th litter. Furthermore, it was found that sows and gilts were the worst in the summer months. The highest number of sows was eliminated in 2016 after the first litter, in 2017 after the tenth litter and in 2018 after the eighth litter. The main cause of the decommissioning of breeding was poor health in 2016 and 2017, in 2018 it was old age. Due to old age, sows were eliminated in 2016 from the 8th litter, in 2017 from the 10th litter and in 2018 already from the 7th litter. Other reasons for decommissioning of sows were overrunning, limb defects, low yield, difficult births and abortion. Sows in breeding reach high litters, which indicates very good individual zootechnical care for individual sow.
Výživa moderných genotypov prasiatok
Mišenková, Veronika
Pig Breeding is the important element of the economic sector. The production of the pork and production of the piglets are the most important. The pork is a biologically valuable nutrient for the human population. Purposeful nutrition, right feed technique and good health are decesive factors in the efficiency of the Pig Breeding. These factors directly affect reproductive indicators (number of live-born piglets, number of weaned piglets per sow/year). Every company, which uses the closed turnover of herd, have got two separated sectors, so fattening pigs and production of piglets. The economic objective of the company is making a profit. This Bachelor thesis is focused on nutrition of modern piglets genotypes. In the first part the thesis shows the current number of pigs in the Czech republic, Slovak republic and the European Union. In the second part it describes in details the anatomical structure and physiological function of the gastrointestinal tract. The gastrointestinal tract is composed of oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, intestine and endocrine glands. Every part of the gastrointestinal tract has mechanical or chemical function in process of metabolism. In the third part it describes feed groups used in pig nutrition. The include feed: cereals, leguminous plants, feed from the fat industry, feed from the oil industry and feed of animal origin. In the fourth part it discusses about feed technique of piglets, feed technique of pregnant sows and feed technique of lactating sows. Each category of pigs has its own specific feed requirements, that is the amount of individual ingredients. Then it deals with losses of piglets in the prenatal period and the postnatal period, possibilities of their elimination and influence of nutrition. In conclusion, the knowledge and their practical application are summarized.

The main objective of the Thesis was to analyse the reproductive performance of sows in the selected breeding. Data collection took place in Vemas a.s, which is engaged in pig breeding. The data was gathered in this breeding in the period of August 8 2016 to July 31 2017 at sample of 938 sows in 1761 litters. In the litter, the age of first fertilization and parturition of sows were monitored as well as the length of gestation period itself and gestation period depending on the number of alive or dead born piglets in the litter. Furthermore, the amount of all born piglets was observed, alive and dead born ones in the litter, the number of mummified piglets, the amount of weaned piglets and the loss of piglets from birth to weaning in connection to the litter order of the sow. Most of sows were fertilized between days 230. and 249. of their age, while parturition appeared between days 350. and 359. of their age. The average length of gestation period was 115,38 days. The biggest portion of live born piglets (14,08 cases per a litter) was born at the length of 113 days of gestation period, the smallest portion of dead born piglets has been found at the lenght of gestation period between 118 and 119 days. Most of all (14,72 cases per litter) and of alive born piglets (13,91 cases per litter) were observed in the third litter, the amount of dead born and mummified piglets in the litter went up in relation with the litter order. The number of weaned piglets in the litters was fairly balanced, in average 12,12 cases per a litter. The losses between the birth and the weaning were the highest in the third litter (10,42 % out of live born piglets). The breeding reaches excelent results which are also proven by PICtrag league where the breeding came first two times in a row.

Čadová, Marie
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the reproduction and production indicators from the data obtained and processed on the selected farm. Farm indicators were evaluated between 2013 and 2017 and 200 sows were selected from multiplier herds for which selected reproductive indicators were evaluated. The reproduction indicators were evaluate the number of all born piglets, the number of alive piglets, the number of weaned piglets and the stillborn piglets from birth to wean by parity and gestation length. The highest number of all born piglets and weaned piglets per year was reported by the farm in 2017. 15, 6 ± 3.3 pcs of all live piglets were born and 11.9 ± 1.6 pcs of piglets per litter were weaned. The average was weaned 1.8 ± 2.9 piglets. In terms of production indicators, the average daily gain and feed conversion per 1 kg increments for the pre-fattening and fattening category were evaluated by year and season. The highest average daily gain in both categories was found in 2015, in pre-fattening it was 414.7 ± 18.9 g/day and in fattening it was 813.8 ± 34.1 g/day. For the feed conversion indicator, the lowest values were found in 2015. In the pre-fattening category feed consumption per kg of gain it was 1.79 ± 0.19 kg and in fattening it was 3.01 ± 0.19 kg/kg.

KUČEROVÁ, Marie
The aim of the thesis was to analyse the reproductive parameters of the CLW and CLWxCL sows group in selected breeding group (CLW - Czech Large White, CL - Czech Landrace). Sows, compared to gilts, had more all born piglets born after 100 services (by 118 piglets more after 1st insemination and 116 piglets more after all inseminations). The CLWxCL sows gave birth to 0.10 more all born piglets and 0.21 live piglets more. The highest number of piglets, all and live, was born in the 4th parity. The correlation coefficients between the age at the 1st service and the number of all resp. live-born piglets were low. Only 0.1 live piglets were born to CLW sows with weaning to service interval (WSI) from 5 days compared to WSI to 4 days. In CLWxCL sows, more live-born piglets showed sows with WSI to 4 days compared to sows with WSI from 5 days. The difference was higher, namely 0.8 piglet (P < 0.05). In the case of CLW and CLWxCL sows was confirmed a statistically significant difference in the number of live-born piglets between the sows with a gestation length from 116 days, up to 114 days and 115 days. Most of the piglets were born after AMD 74 boar and the lowest number after AMD 101 boar.
