Students' knowledge of upper primary school about diseases transmitted by ticks

The main research problem concerns the characteristics of tick-borne disease and determine the quantity and quality of information that students get in health education and biology of these diseases. The theoretical part deals with the history, etiology, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease. It also discusses the general problems of tick and other diseases that ticks carry and cause. Also is mentioned the inclusion of tick-borne diseases in the educational program. The practical part is devoted to the awareness of upper primary school students and changes in their knowledge about the issue during their elementary education. The aim of this thesis is to determine how the students are informed about diseases transmitted by ticks, especially about Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. This method is used questionnaire, which includes questions regarding this issue. Although the results of the research show a certain degree of knowledge of students at upper primary school, especially in some classes is unsatisfactory. The knowledge about contraceptive methods of the pupils of the selected school

This bachelor thesis is focusing on the knowledge of pupils of specified middle school about contraception methods. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out the level of the knowledge of middleschool pupils about contraception methods, sexual education sources and the connectivity of their teoretical knowledge with praxis. In the theoretical part of the thesis are given basic concepts related to the reproductive health, anatomical concepts, menstruation and puberty and also the importance of contraception methods in relation to abortion and sexually transmitted diseases. It contains also the selection of sexually transmitted diseases and historical evolution of contraception methods. In the practical part of the thesis contains data analysis from the questionairre survey among middleschool students. Based on the obtained results, a short recommendation is concluded.

The aim of the thesis is to analyze food security in Angola and suggest recommendations for improving the level of nourishment. The thesis is divided into theoretical, analytical and proposal section. The first part is focused on measuring food security, nutritional epidemiology and malnutrition. The second part is an analysis of food security, demographic trends and development indicators. In the proposal section are introduced possible solutions to ensure adequate food security in Angola.

This bachelor thesis deals with bovine hoof diseases. The firt part examine anatomy limbs of cattle. The secon part deals with influences acting on the hoof diseases. It is need of vitamins, minerals, nutrition in relation with hoof diseases, breeding technology and genetics. The third part contains a description of hoof deseases and their treatment. In the fourth part is description treatment hoof and their methods using a variety of products that can be used in breeding to prevent to disease.

The main issue of this dissertation is the influence hiporehabilitation on the human body and the horseback. This thesis consist of the recherche and my own results. Recherche concentrate on the characteristic of all spheres of the hiporehabilitation, history and the effect. Furthermore, on diseases which are arising in particular spheres. For the treatment of results for this thesis was made a qualitative research with the help of questionaires which was consequently evaluated. Within the framework of the research I visited two centres and I found out all of the available information about clients who attend hiporehabilitation and about horses which the hiporehabilitation was practising on. The main task is evaluated in the end-influence of the therapy on the human body and the influence on the horses. The thesis finally lead in the help to relevant centres to reach some informationes about the effect on their clients.

This thesis is about rumen dysfunctions. The thesis describes the principle of digestion of individual nutrients in rumen and deals with composition and meaning of rumen ecosystem. It states a list of feeds used in ruminants nutrition and that including division of feeds and description of their suitability and risks their feeding. Thesis also deals with different nutritional claims in individual phases of reproductive cycle and describes the effect of nutrition on milk production and its composition. In the last part, you can read about individual rumen dysfunctions including causes of origin, description of symptoms and effect on milk production. It contains a description of different diagnos-tic options of these diseases and it focused on therapy and prevention of their origin too.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issues of diseases of dairy cow´s limbs. In the theoretical part there is a literature review with description of basic information of the cattle´s limb, how to take care of hooves, factors which affect the health of limbs, the there is a review of the main and the most common diseases. The end of the theoretical part deals with preventive measures. The methodical part deals with the costs of treatment of selected diseases and preventive measures. There is also an average decrease of dairy cow´s utility at the certain time in selected dairy cows.

This bachelor thesis deals with phthalates and their part in living organisms. Phthalates are diesters of phtalicacid, which can be found all around us. They have had the negative focus of many studies and researches forquite a long time now because they are pollutants of the environment due their toxic effects on all living things. Phthalates are mainly used as a plastics oftener and they improve plastic qualities, but their negative side is that they leak into the material which they are in contact with. Phthalates can get into every part of the environment including us, humans. It´s negative effects on reproductive systems, kidneys and livers were proven by many studies. Furthermore, they have teratogenic and carcinogenic impacton living organisms. People facing the highest danger of phthalates are people working with them, gravid women, haemophiliacs and children.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Downer cow syndrome. The first part of the thesis is focused on characterizing the syndrome. The second part is dedicated to the diseases which lead to downer syndrome: metabolic diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, and psychogenic immobilization. The section dealing with metabolic diseases describes the mechanism of development of these diseases with a special focus on nutrition since incorrect nutrition frequently leads to illness. Specific diseases are described including pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis along with treatment. The next part of the thesis defines the causes of musculoskeletal diseases such as injury, inflammation and further causes. The final section is concerned with patient treatment and therapy. It describes the approaches to lifting downer cows and uses of technology such as lifting equipment and water tanks (aqua cow).

The first part describes the intestinal microflora and the properties and effect of probiotics. Also individual probiotic strains and characteristics and properties of prebiotics and their species are harvested there. The last part describes the occurrence of probiotics and prebiotics in the food industry and in various dietary supplements.
