Renovation of a water reservoir in the village of Žďárná

The theme of this diploma thesis is to restore the existing small reservoir in the village Žďárná. A new safety spillway and bottom outlet will be built, the flood will be shaped according to the cross-sections and the dam of the water reservoir will be fortified. The designed objects will be hydraulically verified. Using the HEC-HMS program, a hydrological model of the river basin is created and subsequently a derived flood wave PV20.

This bachelor´s work a solution issue small water reservoir in land registry Blatnička. It deals with the detailed study of the MVN, but also with the description of the basin. Finding out about natural conditions in the interested area is another necessary part of this study. After the complete study of all the available information it was possible to come to a suggestions which should lead to a better function of MVN. These suggestions are focused mainly on mud removing and also reparation of dam slope.

Studie možnosti obnovy malé vodní nádrže v k.ú. Pavlov

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of recovery of a small water basin in Pavlov register. The base of this thesis is based on literature research associated with this theme, assessment of natural conditions and copious terrain exploration. Current flow and flow within ten years period are also determined. Plan of a small lateral water basin is then created based on these facts. The thesis also deals with the connection to the territorial system of ecological stability and the possibilities of how to fund this project as well as the alternative draft of pools and wetland.

Methane emissions from temperate freshwater reservoirs

Methane (CH4) emissions from temperate freshwater reservoirs have only been evaluated for the last several decades. Freshwater ecosystems (including water reservoirs) release crucial quantities of this important greenhouse gas. Ebullition that releases methane into the atmosphere from bubbles originating from sediment is important source of methane. Regardless of the importance of these emissions, a very limited number of scientific research papers monitoring this flux into the atmosphere are available. Estimated values of methane emissions from freshwater temperate reservoirs vary considerably. There are many different methods for monitoring methane emissions. It seems that the freshwater reservoir stimulates methane formation in increasing scales. The size of the sum of methane emitted from freshwater reservoirs is also difficult to say.

Studie revitalizace malé vodní nádrže v k. ú. Horní Loděnice

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the revitalization of a small water reservoir in the cadastral area Horní Loděnice. The basis of this study is detailed field research of the reservoir and its catchment basin. Another essential part is detection of natural conditions of the location and the current state of the reservoir. It will be possible to design measure which would improve its condition and avoid negative impacts on its functionality as much as possible only after examination of all available information and materials. This work also includes identification of possible financial support, mainly from the grant programs.

This thesis focuses on the issue of water tanks especially in the aspect of their functions, maintenance, reconstruction, development and revitalization of tanks. It also deals with the application of reservoirs in agricultural landscape. This thesis contains a description and evaluation of the history and development of tanks in the selected location of South Bohemia, which is the catchment Mladějovický stream. Within the selected and interested area contains a estimate of the economic severity of reconstruction tanks.

This diploma thesis deals with the reconstruction of small reservoir in collaboration with the company VZD Invest s. r. o. The first part aims at the basic description of the thesis subject – the small reservoir. Characteristics of small reservoir and calculations are processed in the second part. The third part is focused on the description of the current conditions. The main part consist of characteristics calculations of the small reservoir and proposal of the necessary reconstruction for future technical function. In conclusion, safety assessment of the proposed measures are evaluated.

Programs, which were used for elaboration, are AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HYDROG, HEC, MS Office.
