Family coexistence with a disabled person
TOBOLKOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor thesis deals with the family coexistence with a disabled person. I chose this subject intentionally since I have a very positive relationship with disabled people, especially with mentally handicapped people. The main objective of my thesis is to chart the factors that influence the coexistence with a disabled person. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and explorative part. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals with the problems of disability and its division. The second chapter is focused on mentally handicapped people, in concrete terms on the causes and origins of this disability, classification of each degree of this disability and on the education and training. The third chapter is concentrated on the family that cares for a mentally handicapped person. The parents´ reactions to the birth of a mentally handicapped person, relations between brothers and sisters and the care for a mentally handicapped person are also described here. The last chapter describes the fundamentals and forms of social services. Furthermore, I mentioned the basic social services of which the mentally handicapped people might take advantage. In the research part the goal of the thesis was set and the main research question was formed: "How does the family coexistence influence the care for a disabled person?" In order to answer it one had to use four partial research questions. The strategy of qualitative research containing the method of inquiries and the technique of semi-structured dialogue was selected so that the necessary data could be acquired. From the research it followed that caregivers cope well with the care for a disabled person. Interviewees concur in most cases that they often feel the mental strain. The day care centre for elderly people is the most used social service by the interviewees. The majority of interviewees don´t think that the care for a disabled person will change in the future. The research also established that all the interviewees spend their leisure time with a disabled person. The acquired information might be used as an information material for the lay and professional public.
Injuries of children at home
POCHYLÁ, Petra
The theoretical part of this thesis is oriented at an actual issue of accidents involving children in home environment, their prevention and a correct provision of first aid by a non-professional at these types of selected accidents. The practical part of this thesis was led by a qualitative form of research, a method of a semicontrolled interview. The interview given was led by chosen caring people, who gave first aid to children with a home environment injury. The whole process of the interview was recorded at a digital record book and then rewritten to a text form, with the approval of the respondents. The respondents were chosen on the basis of a survey. The final information from the interviews were analyzed and subsequently summarized into results. Six respondents were registered into the research part. Six basic questions were given to the respondents. The questions were chosen to find out information about an injured child, an injury character, a procedure of caring person while giving first aid, or other professional care and permanent effects. While preparing the research part, I was expecting that most of the respondents would manage to give first aid, however, according to the results, half of the parents didn't know how to deal with giving first aid. Non- professional first aid, provided at the right time and done correctly, is one of the basic and essential steps to reverse the injured person back into the normal quality of life. This is why, all people should be able to give first aid without special equipment and tools. The aim of my thesis was to monitor the process of the caring person while giving first aid for selected accidents involving children in home environment. I gave myself one fundamental research question: What was the process of the caring person while giving first aid for accidents involving children in home environment? At the final evaluation and comparison of my results, I achieved the results, in most examined facts, which are presented in other different studies dealing with similar issues- children's injuries and giving first aid for accidents involving children.
Physiotherapy for recurrent respiratory diseases of infants in home environment
ŽITNÍKOVÁ, Ivana
This thesis deals with physiotherapy for recurrent respiratory diseases of infants. Respiratory diseases belong to the most common childhood diseases. Therefore it is necessary to pay attention to this issue. The first two goals of this thesis are to cover an issue of respiratory physiotherapy in infants, both theoretically and practically. The third aim is to create a visual guide for parents of infants with respiratory diseases. To achieve these goals, it was necessary to study literature and to become familiar with the therapy in practice. Methods of qualitative research including direct observation techniques, casual interview with mothers, secondary analysis of data and taking photographs were applied in this research. The research group consisted of three infants with respiratory diseases, who come into the care of the pediatrician prof. MD. M. Velemínský, PhD., Dr. H. C., prof. H. C. Indirect anamneses were taken and through aspecting I assessed their postural activity. During three visits over the time horizon of 10 days, mothers of infants were gradually familiarized with the application of techniques of respiratory physiotherapy in order to realize the therapy in the home environment. On the basis of briefing I wrote a manual. I would like to inform the general public about the possibilities of this treatment. I tried to trace the responses of the infants to the application of the techniques of respiratory physiotherapy, to find a correlation between the character of their breathing and the postural activity and, last but not least, I focused on the problems that appeared during the training. This thesis can be beneficial not only for parents of the infants with respiratory diseases but also for the students of physiotherapy. I believe, that the manual I made could above all facilitate the parents of the ill children to participate on their treatment.
The differences between the nutrition of Seniors in their natural home milieu and in retirements homes.
KAUCKÁ, Eva
In my degree paper I am dealing with the difference in the nutrition of seniors coming from the natural home environment and those living in retirement homes, especially from the view of quality and quantity of their diet. The theoretical part is focused on basic information of a well-balanced diet of seniors and the specifics thereof. I also mention the importance of drinking regimen there. Recommended daily intakeand resources of individual nutrients are of high importance, too. In old age, diet must be adapted to the current state of health. As a rule, light meals, easily digestible are selected. The practical part presents the results of the research aimed at the above mentioned issues. The information was obtained with the health of questionnaires and retirement home{\crq}s menus. The respondents were divided into two groups according to their place of living. The first group contained the seniors from the natural home environment, the second included seniors from retirement homes. The nutritional quality and quantity was monitored only in the selected sample of four respondents. In my my research I set two hypotheses. According to the results of the questionnaires only the second part of the second hypothesis was confirmed, while the first hypothesis and the first part of second hypothesis were not confirmed.

BĚHALOVÁ, Pavlína
The work deals with the families, which are looking after children with disabilities. It analyzes changes and also similarities which are possible on these home environments. This interpretation comes from definition of family, functions, educational styles, relationships and roles typical for families. This work then continues with the definition and specification of the hard living situation, which arises in these families from the first step (which means the first reactions after the information{\crq}s about disabilities of the child) through the following steps to the step of the reconciliation with the disability.
