Financing of social care services for the elderly in the Czech Republic - current problems and challenges

The thesis "Financing of Social Care services for the Elderly in the Czech Republic - Current Problems and Challenges" deals with analysis of system of social care services for the elderly in view of the fact that the current financing form is subject to criticism for its inefficiency. The aim of this thesis is to critically reflect changes in the provision and financing of social care services for the elderly in the Czech Republic after 2007 in the context of current challenges related to long-term social care and health care. The thesis in its introduction first deals with the formulation of the research problem, deals with particular targets, research questions and the methods of data collection, which are the methods of analysis and public policy making and qualitative research methods. It also discusses the theoretical background of social services and their financing. The next chapter of the thesis deals with the system development of social services and changes in the provision and financing of social care services, which occurred in connection with the adoption of Act No. 108/2006 Coll., On social services. The thesis deals with the assessment of landscape character of the selected and mapped locations. It also covers the topic of establishing orchards and their integration into the local landscape. The theoretical part describes the history of orchards in the Czech Republic, defines the notion of landscape and landscape protection in the Czech legislation. Furthermore it explains general information of the drawing of European grants and mentions practical solution of orchards in land consolidations. The practical part consists of elaborated details of the project of planting and management technologies in a particular orchard. There is a description of the basic rules for getting a grant contribution in the field of landscaping. This part deals with landscape assessment including a proposal for a potential increase and protection of the landscape in the area.
Economics Potential of Family Farm

The aim of the diploma thesis is a study of the economic potential of a small family farm in Southern Bohemia, especially via a financial analysis, an analysis of subsidies and the SWOT method. The thesis describes the methodical basis of chosen analyses, discusses agricultural methods and current agricultural politics of the Czech Republic in the framework of the European Union. The main body of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of the studied family farm, its property and production capabilities. The financial analysis evaluates the farm based on specific indicators from year 2012 to year 2016. Furthermore an analysis of agricultural subsidies of the farm in the same time-period is carried out. Performed retrospective analyses provide an overview of the economic health of the family farm and contribute to the breakdown of the enterprise's internal environment Enterprise's internal environment is analyzed using the SWOT method, which provides four possible strategic solutions for improvement of the family farm future development. From the proposed solutions the best option is chosen based on the Multicriterial Saaty method, which is best fulfilling specified criteria. The conclusion discusses economic potential of the family farm and present and suggests possible application of the chosen strategic solution.
Multifunctional agriculture in Czechia after accesion to the European Union: conceptualisation, development and regional differentiation

8 Abstract The dissertation deals with the concepts of multifunctional agriculture in the context of transformations of Czech agriculture in the post-communist era. In general, the study mainly wanted to discuss the concepts of multifunctional agriculture, known for over three decades, especially from the Anglo-Saxon environment, and to analyse the development of Czech agriculture as well as application of multifunctional agriculture especially in the period after Czechia's joining the European Union, including the perception of multifunctional activities by farmers. The initial part of the study discusses the concepts of multifunctional agriculture as non- commodity production (OECD 2001) and an integral part of rural development (Van der Ploeg, Roep 2003) on the one hand and of agricultural multifunctionality (Wilson 2007), on the other. The empirical part of the work was based on a quantitative assessment of regional differentiation of multifunctional agriculture in Czechia, the territorial concentration of multifunctional activities and dependence between the variables that influence its implementation. The Analysis of the implementation of the second pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy in the Czech Republic with the focus on protection of environmental, nature and landscape

The aim of this thesis was to conduct a thorough analysis of the second pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy in the European Union and the subsequent evaluation of its implementation in the Czech Republic. The analysis was conducted primarily using applicable laws, regulations and other official materials of both the European Union and the Czech Republic. Comparison of implementation at EU level was through comparison of the approved investment funds to individual submeasures of the Rural Development Programme between Member States and the European Union. The integration of rules at national level and their reflection in practice were explored by questionnaire survey among farmers themselves. The result of this investigation and examination of the legislative settings in the Czech Republic was the subsequent evaluation of the actual impact of the second pillar on the protection of environment, nature and landscape.
The analyse of implementation of Pillar 1 within the CAP in the Czech Republic with the focus on direct payment

The main focus of the thesis is description and analysis first pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). This thesis deals with the workings CAP in Czech Republic and also in other EU states in terms of theoretical and practical. We collection data about CAP from real agricultural subjects. We became 91 responses from 778 respondents. One of the important results of this research is the great importance of subsidies for farmers. It is very hard make some agricultural development without this support. Farmers must give preference to legislation, than the current weather. Benefit of first part of this thesis is a summary available information about Common Agricultural Policy. Next important part is comparison this theoretical information with practical experience real farmers.
Subsidy policy for small and medium farmers 2014 -2020

Bachelor thesis titled Subsidy policy for small and medium farmer 2014-2020 is focused on streamlining the system of subvention. Everyone should be able to successfully submit a request for the most common subventions according to this thesis. Then there is a scheme of the subvention policy for a simplification which characterizes subvention for vegetal sector. In the practical part there is a particular example of subvention which was received by the author. In conclusion of the thesis the author has suggested possibilities of improvement of the subvention policy.

This thesis covers and evaluates the possibilities of using sowing procedures in the contemporary Czech agriculture. The first part of the thesis analysis erosion, anti-erosion protection and endowment policy. Universal Wischmeier-Smith equation for calculating soil loss from lan is described in the second part. The effectiveness of anti-erosion of some selected sowing procedures is analysed at the selected cadastral Čestice.

Doctoral thesis deals with questions concerning the funding policy in agriculture in general and with the principles and the utilisation of the funding instrument under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union (EU) for assistance in improving the financial situation of farms. The aim of the present thesis is to assess the concept and the concrete application of the funding instrument of the CAP of the EU in the context of the different agro-ecological conditions of the selected region of the Czech republic and its rural districts, together with its consequent effect on patterns of production and on the improvement of the financial situation of the farms.
